I recently a brought a new 8gb lexar sd card after my 8gb sandisk died on me ealier this week. It died before in my old xv6800 and I was able to reformat it & use it. I think the culprit is the music folder but I am not sure. I can play music with the screen on and not have a problem with CorePlayer (ver 1.3.6) or Windows Media Player. Whenever I play music with the screen off, it plays for a few minutes then shuts off. I have the Touch Diamond screen off app installed too. Running stock rom.
Any thoughts on why this is happening? And possible fixes for it?
I have a VZW TP2 with a stock rom. I can play music all day with any program as long as I have the screen on (CorePlayer, Windows Media and Slide 2 Play). When I attempt to play music with the screen off using Touch Diamond screen off program (psShutXP), the music continues for awhile then shuts off when switching to the next song. I tried a hard reset. Problem persists. This is weird becuase I could play music all day long with the screen off about a week and half ago. I dont know what happen.
All music is stored on an 8gb lexar class 4 card. Had the same problem with my old 8gb sandisk card before it died around the same time the problem surfaced.
I am not running touchflo
Thanks
Hi,
I've been using a Tilt 1 (8925) for roughly two years now, and I just purchased a practically brand new Tilt 2 recently. So far, I'm in the transition process, playing around with it and such. There are a few things I'm having problems with. One of them is the music from my memory card (16GB).
On my 8925, my playlists (.ASX) work perfectly in WMP and S2P. However, when inserting the same SD card ino the Tilt 2, an error always occurs when I try to play a playlist in both WMP and S2P. It always has a message regarding Audio Manager. I also noticed my .MP3 files work when I choose them under songs / artists / genre, but never under a playlist. Can anyone help with my issue? Any help will be appreciated!
I am using a Galaxy Note 2 on stock ROM, unrooted. I have a bunch of songs on my SD card inside the Music folder. This Music folder has two sub-folders to separate the FLAC and MP3 songs. The problem is I can browse to the folders and listen to songs one by one while navigating from the phone. The Music Player plays the songs alright. However, the Music player does not default to the Music folder on the SD Card. But if I copy the same Music folder on to the internal memory of the phone, the Music player recognizes the folders perfectly and plays all the songs. The same SD card is recognized across two other phones and my Tab2 without any issues, so I am not sure what is wrong. I want to play the songs of the SD card as I need the internal memory to install games. Please advise and thanks in advance.

No other option? Is there no way to get the default music player to recognize the music folder on the sd card?

It's a well known issue that the external SD card doesn't work with M at the moment...
You updated too early if you really need the card.
Hi there, I noticed that my Galaxy Note 8 N5100 skip and loop a bit the music I'm listening via the default music player and Winamp Pro. I tested my music with my PC and it's not that.
My music is installed to my SD external card and I tried to format it yesterday and install music again, same problem... Tested with 4.1.2 and 4.2.2, same problem here. I dunno what is it and hope it's not my tablet (who's like 7 days old). The card I'm using is the one I had on my phone and it's a class 4.
If you have a little solution for me I would be really pleased !
Do you by any chance use a 64 gb sd card??
Sadly no, it's a 32Go class 4 card. Installing Poweramp seems to do the trick so far (I think, it's random). At the same time I had *sudden black flash screen* with the 4.1.2 in the past days and wonder if the SD wasn't the cause of all that mess (maybe I moved my apps on the SD, that would explain a lot).
My biggest worry would be that my device is defective and that it will slowly die or something like that...
