When I try to wake my phone, sometimes it doesn't work and I have to press the power button 2 or 3 times to get it to wake, sometimes it takes seconds for it to unlock, 95% of the time there's a delay between pressing the power button and the phone waking. Is anyone else experiencing these issues?

I've seen the two or three presses thing on my Glide, frankly for me it's a non-issue because it's never taken too long or outright failed to wake. And it's never taken long to unlock.
Also, every phone takes a second or two to wake. That's just how it is.
I have the same issue. If you really need it to wake, I just slide out the keyboard. That always works right away for me.

Yea I'm having the same issue but I don't find it that serious but a lot of times when my phone sleeps I get missed calls that never pop up (Doesn't display the missed call even though people tell me they've called and it rung they said) and all my messages come flooding in after I wake it.

While your screen is off. There is a process running in the background. It could be anything.
It's when you get alike, a call or text, and your screen comes on, and stays on, even if you have screen-on time set to go off after x amount of minutes
oh yea i def have this sometimes.

I thought it was the issue where the phone doesn't like to wake from a lock state. I know when i was running CM7.0 rc1 and the screen would lock and turn off, when I hit the power key, the screen wouldn't come back on. I usually had to press the power button then tap the screen to get it to turn on. Sometimes i had to just fight with the power button a few times to get anything to show. It was quite annoying. Might have been a kernal issue, not really sure as I updated to CM7.1 and a new kernal all at once.

It could be, or maybe we're both right
My screen will sometimes shut off after only a few seconds, long before the set timeout, and it doesn't seem to be tied to any specific activity. I could be browsing the web, on the xda app, sometimes at a menu screen of a game, it doesn't seem to matter. When this happens, the power button brings me right back to what I was doing, not going to the lock screen. I'd say it happens 5-10 times a day. It's not that big a deal to me, more of an annoyance than anything. Anybody else experiencing this?
Me too

Bummer! I've been fortunate with my device/roms, haven't had any problems except one week my notification light would shut off while charging for long periods of time. On calks 2.8.1

I figured out what was causing it- power saving mode. I turned that off, the problem went away.
I have recently encountered a problem with my hox, where, if I press the power button, the screen doesn't awake. It's a little weird, because the back home app switcher buttons do light up if it is dark enough around me and, after pushing them a few times, the volume buttons respond as well.
I haven't fully tested it, but it seems like when I wait like a minute or so, maybe more, the screen does finally wake up. I have also held the power button several times to restart it while it was like this and then the screen doesn't light up until the sim unlock screen pops up.
I have yet to factory reset the phone etc., but I was wondering if anyone else had run into this problem. I have looked around the internet, but was unsure what to search for.

Are u using sweep to wake?, that sometimes causes this problem
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Nope, I do not have sweep to wake.
Well, after a while of being okay, the issue is showing up again. If I press the power button it does wake the phone somehow (back, home, tasks lights light up, volume can be altered), but the screen wont come on. And when it's one of those rare moments that it does turn on the UI flies everywhere, making it literary uncontrolable, until at some point the screen just turns itself off.
I am not running any custom things, everything is stock. I tried a factory reset without erasing the SD storage. I also have just sent an email to HTC, but it being weekend and all I still have to wait a day or two.
Any other things I could try?
Never had this problem with the HOX.
Only with Xperia Arc and X10 when a heavy task ran in the background

Hi, I was wondering what did you do regarding the lockscreen problem. I'm having exactly the same problem here. I've already done a factory reset but it did not solve the issue. From time to time I'm not able to unlock the phone.
Please HELP!!!
It sometimes happens to me, recently after clearing the clock and weather apps and widgets. I don't know what it is.
Hi there,
I bout a G3 beat for my sister a year ago, it had no problems back then but it's been about 3 month now that the screen wont wake up after pressing power button or double tapping on the screen itself... really, it randomly wakes by doing so, rarely I must say.
She thinks it is probably due to a failure of hardware, you know, because she'd dropped the phone several times, but I think maybe there something wrong with the software, you know, because its not only the power button that's not working, double tap does not work neither...
Bye the way volume rockers have got some issues too, cant seem to change volume until you press them several times.
So, what do you think guys? Is is the hardware, or the software?
So, I'm habitual about turning off my screen. I've noticed that occasionally if I leave the screen on the native messages app, and hit the power button to turn off the screen, it will sometimes trigger a phone call. The only way I can catch it in time is when I feel the phone vibrate.
Has anyone else have this problem? It's driving me a little crazy, because I can't seem to replicate it, it just happens spontaneously.
Not in the few times I tried it. I honestly don't like any of the Samsung built-ins so I only tried the message app for a few days. Like you I do usually hit the power button by habit mostly, but never noticed that.
