I've got a little problem that is draining my battery.
When i press the power button, my screen turns off, but two second later it turns on into the lockscreen.
Already tried a full wipe to look if some app is causing the problem, but nop. it still had the problem.
However the weird thing is that when i use the phone it never turns the screen off. it does sometimes pop up the power menu, but that does not happen often.
I hope someone can help me, because it annoys the heck of off me that i can't even get 7 hours out of my phone w/ minimal use.
Hi,
Is anyone else getting this problem;
Basically At random times when i try to wake my phone from standby mode by pressing the top button it gets stuck in standby.
The three buttons light up, Home, Menu & Back/search.... but the screen stays off, completly black, like the phones off.
I've tried multiple things to get the screen on, pressing the track pad, holding all the buttons down, holding the on/off button down ect.. nothing seems to wake the screen or make the phone respond, the only fix seems to be to remove the battery.
I havent installed any new apps for about a week or more so i dont think an app is causing it, but i maybe wrong.
I have noticed that it seems to happen when im in the cold, when im indoors or somewhere where the heating is on it doesnt seem to happen, but when im in a cold place it seems to happen, i diont know if thats just coincidence or if its also something to do with the problem.
I did google the fault, but only found two pages with a similar topic, one was the vodafone forum where they just recomemded a reset and the other page had no answers.
I was hoping the good folks here at XDA could help.
Merry Christmas.

Oh, sorry, forgot that, everything is stock android/htc nothing rooted or modded.
See my reply in another thread.
I have recently encountered a problem with my hox, where, if I press the power button, the screen doesn't awake. It's a little weird, because the back home app switcher buttons do light up if it is dark enough around me and, after pushing them a few times, the volume buttons respond as well.
I haven't fully tested it, but it seems like when I wait like a minute or so, maybe more, the screen does finally wake up. I have also held the power button several times to restart it while it was like this and then the screen doesn't light up until the sim unlock screen pops up.
I have yet to factory reset the phone etc., but I was wondering if anyone else had run into this problem. I have looked around the internet, but was unsure what to search for.

Are u using sweep to wake?, that sometimes causes this problem
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Nope, I do not have sweep to wake.
Well, after a while of being okay, the issue is showing up again. If I press the power button it does wake the phone somehow (back, home, tasks lights light up, volume can be altered), but the screen wont come on. And when it's one of those rare moments that it does turn on the UI flies everywhere, making it literary uncontrolable, until at some point the screen just turns itself off.
I am not running any custom things, everything is stock. I tried a factory reset without erasing the SD storage. I also have just sent an email to HTC, but it being weekend and all I still have to wait a day or two.
Any other things I could try?
Never had this problem with the HOX.
Only with Xperia Arc and X10 when a heavy task ran in the background

Hi, I was wondering what did you do regarding the lockscreen problem. I'm having exactly the same problem here. I've already done a factory reset but it did not solve the issue. From time to time I'm not able to unlock the phone.
Please HELP!!!
It sometimes happens to me, recently after clearing the clock and weather apps and widgets. I don't know what it is.
so, my wife's phone is insane. this thing turns the screen on by itself, even after we press the button to turn it off it'll come right back on within a couple seconds. The battery life is terrible too. Are there any apps out there that can tell me if there is another app on her phone causing all these problems?
So, I'm habitual about turning off my screen. I've noticed that occasionally if I leave the screen on the native messages app, and hit the power button to turn off the screen, it will sometimes trigger a phone call. The only way I can catch it in time is when I feel the phone vibrate.
Has anyone else have this problem? It's driving me a little crazy, because I can't seem to replicate it, it just happens spontaneously.
Not in the few times I tried it. I honestly don't like any of the Samsung built-ins so I only tried the message app for a few days. Like you I do usually hit the power button by habit mostly, but never noticed that.
