Touchwiz no like xda nor google play music - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

On pretty much all touchwiz roms xda randomly force closes especially if I check my PM. And Google play will randomly quit playing after long period of playing. Solution is either time or wiping data in app manager (or what ever it is called) anyone else experience this, and if so does anyone have a solution?

Idk I seem to have much greater batery life with it enabled. With my old triumph I couldn't get through the day with out it. The stock rom for that flop of a phone was absolutely atrocious

The s3's built in power saver seems to actually work very well. And with extended toggles you can easily toggle data off when you're not using it. That alone with double battery life.

Battery ideas?

So I'm running a 2100 m a h extended life battery and I know I should be getting better life than this. I'm running 4.1 jelly bean on cdma phone, stock kernel. I also have the app killer checked on, and my screen brightness is pretty low. I've been having my wifi at home but still for 4 hours in 40 percent screen time that's really bad numbers. just wondering if anybody has any input

Uninstall your task killer, those do more harm than good. And download BetterBatteryStats to see what is draining your battery.
More likely it's your apps that are causing it to drain very badly. Any shady looking apps I would uninstall. And like above me, do those both as well.

What setting is this? And don't use it.
You may want to use the Better Battery stats application to check for wake locks.
Trying a different kernel may also help. The Faux kernel works well for myself.
Lastly, the standby time doesn't give as much insight into your battery life as well as screen on time does. What kind of screen on time are you getting?
Note: don't use task killers, and don't manually kill applications.

Turn off any app killing, as you've done.
In your screenshot, you had a lot of calls, that'll do it too, so battery life can vary.

I am not sure about the stock app killer but any 3rd party app killer is constantly scanning your phone looking for apps running even if there is none so it's constantly using battery power

AudioOut wakelock question

Hi I have note 2 which is fantastic and I am very pleased with it. So far I was getting perfect battery life but lately it doesn't last that long so I installed BBS and this audioOut wakelock is preventing my phone from sleeping. Is there a chance to find which program is keeping this wakelock? I searched the web and there is Nino help. It is almost always on silent and I am not using it to listen to the music. Thanks

I've seen all kinds of "fixes" here - e.g. switch ringtones and reboot, turn off all system sounds, use Task Manager to turn off everything and many more.
Not one has worked for me on any ROM with any kernel, which makes me suspect that it's a rogue app. It never takes me a long time to realise that I cannot be bothered trying to track down the responsible app, so I live with it. YMMV. Viber has been mentioned frequently (never had it myself).
Sounds very similar to the Media drain problem. Similar alleged reasons, similar useless solutions, even poor Viber is also wrongfully scapegoated. What kills me is once the problem start it remains no matter what the heck you do, even if you wipe, root, change roms, format, remove/change sd card, etc... Nothing short of a hammer will solve the ****ing problem.
Download advanced task killer and set it to kill all apps at screen off. Also configure greenify to greenify all apps.

GS4 lag, weird discovery

So we all know the GS4 out of the box has some atrocious lag. Well I went through the steps to clear a lot of it out without rooting. Just stock, and changing some settings within the OS itself. But I was still noticing some small lag here and there. Well it turns out I put my GS4 on the charger and start using it, and I notice that there is significantly less lag, I unplug it, and then it goes back to usual lag. I have done this back and forth a couple of times, with the same results.
So could it be that Samsung ramps up the CPU when on the charger?

I never experienced lag on this phone until yesterday and I noticed google services was using uo my battery. Went to the google settings and there is a new option call android device manager and I unchecked all the location settings and lag gone. Also if you have google currents go into settings and disable background sync.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk 2
Checked that and it's completely off. I wouldn't put it past Samsung do that, we've already seen them ramp up the processor and gpu for the benchmark rests, my guess is that they lower the clock speed when not charging or maybe below a certain percentage.

It's not like it's everywhere, it's just in a few places, like hangouts, where my One never lagged, or sometimes a jitter when swiping through apps or home screens. Guess I'm just not used to it coming from the One. But there is a difference in performance when plugged into a charger and not.

Watch a movie on the one or play a game. Its night and day compared to the S4.
My cousin has the one. YouTube takes at least 2 more seconds, worse quality, and skips.
Games skip/lag, and loading time is longer for the One.
You gotta take the good with the bad with either phone.

That's just the app itself. That's not even a problem. If something like that REALLY bother you, then you're EXTREMELY anal about things.
