Android AOSP 4.2 Keyboard w/ Emojis? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Hey guys. I'm looking for the Android AOSP keyboard with Emojis. I've downloaded multiple 4.2 Android Keyboards and none seem to have Emojis. I'm not rooted as of yet, as I lost my USB cord. I just need a link to a download that would have it. Thanks

The 4.2 keyboard and emoji keyboards are two different keyboards. Once you install them both you can switch between them. You said you already installed multiple 4.w keyboards so keep them installed. Look on the second and third pages of this section there's a thread called 4.2 emoji keyboard and there you can find links and how to install it.
Using my phone so I can't post a direct link to there. But should be easy to find.

Is it just that Emoji keyboard thats on the market? Or something else?

The one I'm pointing you towards is the android 4.2 emoji keyboard, as I thought that's what your looking for.

Swype Keyboard app for the EVO?

I am moving to the EVO on Friday and am a big keyboard guy. Because of SWYPE I can live without one... I was wondering the one touchscreen keyboard I have liked is SWYPE, does anyone know if the SWYPE app we have working on the Moment will work for the EVO?
OR is there a new 2.1 version of the keyboard out yet?
Thanks for any info or links...
Reply via swype on my Evo.
Same as what the nexus one uses.

Bielinsk,
Do you happen to have a link to the Swype Nexus One version, I've only got the modded version for the Moment, which I believe runs at a lower resolution.... If you happen to have a link so I can download it and have it to install once I get my EVO I would be very grateful.
Thanks
It is somewhere on here. Not to be an ass, but use the forum search, there was an entire thread about swype on the Evo.
Found it, the thread was under Themes and Apps

sorry but Swype has now been deemed "warez" and can no longer be found on the forum. can't post the file, can't post a link to the file, and i dont even think you can post about it or as much as think about it!

so the porting of swype is warez, but hacking the OS to allow free tethering, a service that by the TOS of sprint is to be paid for, is allowed? I can never understand that one...
The Swype developers threw a fit about it and demanded that the links be removed. I had several themed versions of 2.4 that I created.....only for the thread to be killed and my work done in vain.
You can't blame them........we were giving a free app away for free.lol
@blue... Any chance you have a flashable theme for swype? I have swype already and am part of the swype beta... Any change of getting just a theme?
Right now I'm using 1.61 that had been trimmed with english only.. Would love to theme my swype....
Especially if it was an apk it flashable
Thanks!!!
Ps...

Why not more themed Swypes with themed ROMs?

I've used a lot of themed roms and almost all come with a themed keyboard but not themed sywpe, is it a hassle to do this or is sywpe just not used as much as I think it is?

I know Swype is owned by Nuance now (the Dragon Naturally Speaking people), so that may have something to do with it.
And swype sux

You may not like it but some people, I think that's why its included in a lot of ROMs... What do you personally use if not Swype or the stock keyboard?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
Ics keyboard donate or full
Something along those lines
It lets me increase the size of the keyboard on portrait so it doest seem midgetty which is nice
And the xda app is being stupid and not letting up screenies

Swype doesnt get themed because the swype tos is strict. There is a link floating around on here for themed swypes, but the OP requested no inks. Search for swype and you will find it....

Constructively criticizing Swype makes sense but just posting it sucks, isn't really helpful or even the topic of this forum... Any retard can make comments without real thought..
So if Swype is difficult to theme anything like it out there that is more customizable? (theme wise, I just really like to theme my whole phone.)

Stick android is keyboard.

This samsung keyboard is garbage.
SwiftKey is good but I'm so used to the stock Android keyboard.
Can someone post a .apk of the stock ics keyboard that is compatible with our phones?

Hi, if you like the stock ics keyboard. There are a couple of stock themes built in . I saw a post a while ago about it (can't remember the guys name) to apply the themes .,Download anycut from the market. Then 1. Hold down on the screen select shortcuts., anycut then activities, then android debug settings. Now press ok 2. Go to the shortcut click choose theme
***edit the guys name is Joe kerwin that posted this back in march

Emoji question

So I have a galaxy s3 on Sprint, not rooted or anything. Why is it I can see emojis on Twitter?
I follow Kid Ink, he uses them every now and then. He says he uses android, how did he get emojis on Twitter?
In the image you can see what I see. I believe those are emoji ?
Also why did my nexus 7 get an emoji keyboard on it with its update to 4.2 I believe?

One place I know of is in the txt msg app, in the settings you can enable support for like 471 emoji.
sent from a secret underground bunker
You can see the emojis in Twitter, Instagram, Messaging, etc. now because there is emoji support in Jelly Bean. However, as far as I know, there is no emoji add-on to the stock keyboard. I know it's not a part of your question but you can type emojis on Twitter and Instagram using other keyboards with the add on. The one I use is go keyboard, but just for the emojis. I personally think it's a terrible keyboard
There is a modified stock keyboard in the International Forum. I don't know if it will work with ours or not. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jlsoft.inputmethod.latin.jelly.free is a stock jellybean keyboard and if you download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.handcent.plugin.emoji and enable it in the keyboard settings you will have an emoji key just like iDevices.
Download multiLing keyboard off the market.

For some strange reason I can't see emoji on my phone anymore. Anybody know what's up? I'm running stock LJ7 no mods, fresh install.
I think I remember having something similar. I don't know if I was on stock but after I flashed a different rom the emojis were all showing. I know that's not an ideal approach but you could try it.

Help with Emojis PLEASE!!!

I'm sorry if this has been posted before...But
I'm using the Sprint Galaxy SIII and for 2 days I've been searching and trying different keyboards looking for one comparable to the keyboard in cm 10.1. The emojis worked great on that. Since switching back to stock rooted touchwiz I haven't found anything that works as well. I've tried stock Android keyboard because that's what's everyone is saying works, but when I go to settings to add dictionary, there is no dictionary option for me to use to try to add emojis. I know someone will probably say browse the threads but I've done that for 2 days and haven't had any luck so if someone can just point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it. If you've used cm 10.1 that keyboard with those emojis would be perfect.
Thanks in advance!!

I went to that thread but didn't see any separate emoji keyboard, only the AOSP MMS apps that have the keyboards. I really don't want to replace the stock MMS app, i'm fine with it, but interested in the keyboard with emoji. I'm running the 4.2 keyboard already.

Yeah, I misunderstood the question, most of the ones in the market don't receive emoji at all. I wish Swype would add it, their keyboard is pretty good, now out of beta. The MMS app gives you the emoji send/receive experience and it's super customizable.

For me, didnt care about having to change the msg'ing app. The stock one was cool but it wasn't a deal breaker to have to change it. I kinda like the other one better anyway!
