I'm wondering is it possible to pin up my 3G Huawei E173 modem to my ASUS Tranformer Pad TF700T ofc on stock rooted rom to get mobile internet connection?
I know that there is app like PPP Widget but when i click connect, it reset my tablet... So should i change rom or could you give me another app?
EDIT: Nvm i've fixed it
can you tell me how you did it?

Hi !
I'm new to Android, and I just bought a Galaxy Y...
I'm a fairly happy user for now, but I encounter a problem trying to connect Enterprise type Wifi (all using EAP).
When trying to connect to either PEAP-MSCHAPv2 or WPA-EAP-TTLS-PAP (eduroam) at work, or WPA-EAP-TLS (certificates) at home, the phone does not connect.
It doesn't even try to authenticate :
- Radius doesn't receive EAP frames.
- I monitored wifi with wireshark on my laptop : Galaxy Y does not respond to EAP request of Access Point.
I tryed :
-Wifi ACE.
-Manual editting of wpa_supplicant.conf.
-Changing home network configuration (WPA1 and 2)
-Manually apply fix for Galaxy S2 (wifi does not connect at all after)
-Password for creditentials ...
It seems the same issue appeared on S2 after 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 update. Maybe should I use wpa_supplicant from a Galaxy Y 2.3.5 ROM (if someone can provide it to me) ?
For the moment, nothing seem to work. However, WPA-PSK works like a charm.
I did not flash any custom ROM. Automatic Update via phone or Kies reports that phone is up to date.
The phone reports Android 2.3.6, kernel 2.6.35.7
(PDA S5360XXKK6 , PHONE S5360XXKK5, CSC S5360OXXKK2).
Can someone help me to get EAP working ? Am I the only one with this issue ?
Is there a patch somewhere ?
Should I manually update ? I'd like to keep a french UI.
that happened to me..what i did is update my firmware using kies ;-)

That's the first thing I thought of. But Kies says I got latest firmware :
PDA:KK6 / PHONE:KK5 / CSC:KK2 (XEF)
Which one do you have ?
Solved :
As KIES did not want to update, I did it manually using Odin and firmware found here :

Thanks anyway.

Nobody Knows Answer?
oh goosh
Hi, i am going through the same thing too. iv scoured the net for a solution but its looking bleak right now. i found this site which says
"Attention: Android 4.3 has changed the kernel so that loading driver modules is disabled. Nexus 7 Old still has modem drivers enabled in the kernel, but Nexus 7 New (Wifi) and Nexus 10 don't. Since there is no more way to add drivers, USB modems cannot be used with these devices anymore. Blame Google for this."
can someone confirm this or say otherwise. am really bumd that they would leave this feature to use an external modem out. when old nameless tablets can do it. ahhhh
Hello,
I'm trying to connect my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 wifi to an ad-hoc network for internet. I understand this is disabled by default and a file needs to be replaced for it to work.
I searched around but could not find an up to date file for 4.2.2 version of android which runs the tab. If anyone has the file or another method please share it.
My device is already rooted on stock ROM.
Thanks
the same question.

the same question I want to ask .
Hi Guys.
I'm running on my N7100 the last 27/01 CM 10.2
I'm coming from old omega 4.1.2 where i was using Chrome browser and a DNS changer (using Google instead of my own local provider) in order
to access to a File Hosting provider (uploaded.net) where i'm used to store all my stuff.
Switching to CM10.2 i saw that the google DNS are natively stored into rom structure and no need to use a DNS change (even if i tried to use several to check a solution for my issue).
Beside this natively build-in Google DNS i CAN'T access in any way to my hosting service from mobile... Keep having unreachable site error.
Can somebody help me to solve this?
I tried Several DNS changer program as well as Rom Toolbox... but keep having the same problem.
Migration from Omega 4.1.2 has been made with a super Wipe and cache cleaning.
The only add .on to the rom is a different Kernel.. i'm using Devil in order to have a bit of OC for some gaming.
Hope you can help me.
Thank's
Nobody can give me suggestions to solve the problem?

Hi there
I recently traveled to another country.... discovered that my mobile cannot detect any of the available wifi networks. Followed the instruction mentioned in the link below and copied wlan files to the firmware folder, but all in vain.
The wifi takes forever to turn on, when turned off and on again. I am in a big mess... please help. Using CM 12-Snapshot on LG 988 (Optimus G Pro)
Thankyou.

I also had that problem when I flashed that ROM. Unfortunately, there is no fix for this yet, not that I know of after searching thru the xda. I tried flashing Madmack's modem which some users claimed to have worked, but not for me.
