Most have a working wallet first.
For folks that have wallet working already do this
Rename your current wallet in system app to GoogleWallet.apk.back
Drop the new one in system/app
Fix permissions
Reboot
Done
***************************************
Part 2
For those that have never had a working wallet on there phone do this
Once you get it working and want the new one, do part 1
Read instructions very carefully and download the 2 files before starting
YOU ASSUME AND TAKE ALL RISK
YADYADA
1 . DO A NANDROID, reboot and turn nfc on
2. Flash part 1
http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/237-wallet-part-1-zip
3. You will get a few nfc crashes and some slow screens, just keep hitting ok.
4. Open Google wallet and wait for it to do its thing. Again keep clicking ok on the nfc crashes. When Google wallet is done you will either get a wallet fc or a screen saying you don't have network connection.
5. At this point navigate to system/app and DELETE the wallet apk
6 . Navigate to system, open the build prop in text editor and change these 3 lines to exactly:
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
ro.product.device=maguro
This will automatically create a backup of the original buildprop
7 . reboot
8. Download Google wallet from the market
9. Open wallet and let it do its thing. Wait for the fc or network error, click through any nfc fc.
For some of you, it may just work at this point.
You're done then
10. Once you get the wallet fc or network error. Navigate to data/app and DELETE the Google wallet apk.
Reboot into recovery and flash part 2
http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/238-wallet-part-2-zip
11. Open Google wallet and let it set up. It may take some time.
12. Once your all set up, navigate to system and delete the buildprop.apk and rename the buildprop.bak to buildprop.apk. If you don't see the bak one edit the existing one back to
For ATT users only
ro.product.model=SAMSUNG-SGH-I317
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=t0lteatt
ro.product.device=t0lteatt
Any other carrier, I have no clue. Be smart and keep a copy of the original someplace safe
13. Reboot.
14. Done

Sorry for a new post. I made this a little easier to do.

This was made to work on Jelly Thunder. This involves 2 flashes and a build prop edit.
Confirmed working on:
Jelly Thunder
Clean Rom
International Stock Rom
No idea if it will work on other roms. You tell me
downloaded file from post 10, sideloaded to system/app and fixed permissions
1 . DO A NANDROID, reboot and turn nfc on
2. Flash part 1

at this point I don't get any crashes and opening GW displays the attached screen shot
3. You will get a few nfc crashes and some slow screens, just keep hitting ok. none of this happened
4. Open Google wallet and wait for it to do its thing. Again keep clicking ok on the nfc crashes. When Google wallet is done you will either get a wallet fc or a screen saying you don't have network connection. here I am still showing the same info as screen shot
5. At this point navigate to system/app and DELETE the wallet apk
6 . Navigate to system, open the build prop in text editor and change these 3 lines to exactly:

This will automatically create a backup of the original buildprop
7 . reboot
8. Download Google wallet from the market I once again sideloaded the file fro post 10 and followed remaining instructions
9. Open wallet and let it do its thing. Wait for the fc or network error, click through any nfc fc.
For some of you, it may just work at this point.
You're done then
10. Once you get the wallet fc or network error. Navigate to data/app and DELETE the Google wallet apk.
Reboot into recovery and flash part 2
http://www.blownco.com/DAFOXS/wallet_part_2.zipIt is only now that GW actually starts and tells me setup will take up to 5 minutes before force closing
11. Open Google wallet and let it set up. It may take some time.

EDIT: REQUIRES ROOT ACCESS (but not HTC UNLOCK, which I do not have)
-Enable SuperSU
-Use ES File Explorer for root explorer (Settings->Root Explorer, give Superuser permission when asked) -> Mount File System (writable)
-Edit build.prop in /system folder as described above (make a backup also so you can revert after activation!)
-Disable root explorer in ES File Explorer
-Disable SuperSU in SuperSU settings
-Clear data for Wallet in Settings->Apps
-Reboot
-Open Wallet, log in
-Add prepaid card
-Close Wallet
-Go to Android Settings->Apps->Downloaded->Wallet and force stop (hoping to keep it from knowing about the next step which is enable SuperSU to revert build.prop and keep away unsupported device message.)
-Enable SuperSU
-ES File Explorer -> Root Explorer -> Mount System
-In /system folder replace build.prop with the backup I made (or just undo the changes manually if you like.)
-Disable Root Explorer
-Disable SuperSU
-Reboot
-Open Wallet and verify operation
-Profit!
Sorry if this is jumbled, have to get to work but excited that it is fixed and hopefully by reverting build.prop no strange behavior will result!

If the above doesn't work, you could try pushing all the files manually, then fixing the permissions. That's how I installed it, twice. Open up the .zip to see where all the files are to be placed. If there are any duplicates, replace them with the new, but save the old ones first to a labeled folder, of course. That's in case you want to go back.
I tried your link. I already had that Google now zip but I re downloaded and tried again. Flashed but still nothing happened... This is really annoying Idk why it's not working. I'm just on stock rooted rom from mobile Odin. I mean flashing other things work. I flashed a theme mod and it worked fine. Why is this not working!
I'm not sure how to push manually but ill try opening like you said and try to figure it out.

The meta INF folder isn't supposed to be pushed, that is a list of instuctions that places all the other files in their proper places when the zip is flashed in recovery. The velvet.apk is the most important part. I'm not sure what you mean by "couldn't install" it. If you tried using the Android installer, that would probably make sense as it doesn't always work with modded apk's. You would have to copy/past it into /system/app manually, first either copying the existing one to another location on your sd card or just leaving it where it is and renaming it "velvet.apk.bak". Then all of the files that you pushed have to have their permissions set correctly. Just follow what you already see for the various .apk's, files, and folders. Then you should reboot. Now before doing any of this (any changes at all) make a nandroid so if something goes really wrong you can restore back to where you were.
EDIT: I see you solved your problem. Good show!
In the new update the name of the google search apk change so most of the zips floating around for Google now havent updated to the new name so yes just deleting it will work untill the updater-script changes in the zips
So I have it installed but it says a new version is available in the play store. Obviously can't get it from the store but is there an updated version that works on our phone?

No, we on ICS just have to ignore that for now. Someone (a new dev) in the original thread claimed he could mod the updated version for us, but many are skeptical.
EDIT: What you can do is get the present GN to display your sports teams. Before the devs stopped working on this, an Aussie developer came real close to getting it working. What you can do is temporarily replace the velvet.apk and use the updated lib file. This will allow you to set teams. The problem with this version for me is that is was mute. I would not talk back no matter what plus it would force close every time I tapped "show more cards". So the thing to do is restore the original valve.apk after you've go your teams set (set every single team you are interested in before you restore the original velvet.apk) and that's it. They will always show up after that through a Titanium restore when you flash another ROM and you won't have to repeat this process again. The other way guys were doing this was to flash a Jelly Bean ROM, set their teams in GN, then flash back to ICS. This is a shortcut to that process. Unfortunately, the movie listings and emergency notifications available in the JB version of Google Now won't stick once you go back. I'll link you to the post. Incidentally, I pushed these manually too then fixed permissions. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31991861&postcount=5824

I wonder if I missed a version that allows that. I've followed the GN thread for quite some time and only the JB versions could allow adding sports teams. In our version the settings are there, but they don't work AFAIK. I'm keeping my eye on the new JB port by DocHoliday. As soon as he adds in WifiCalling Im going to flash it and enjoy all of GN. Or, flash the real thing if the rumor that T-Mob is releasing JB or Wednesday is true, lol.
I noticed there's a new version of the wallet app, and from the looks of it, the app itself loads on more devices now because Google is using it for more than just tap and pay. Problem is I don't know if this affects the workaround to get the old versions working (changing the build.prop and using the xposed module)

I would assume you could still install it with the mod/workaround just like older versions for NFC support.

The new T-Mobile SIM cards with the chips in them are only for ISIS. As far as making a "mobile" payment? No. We can only send payment via email with the app. I'm sure they have plans for more integration with other services and other payment methods in the future. It seems to me that if you can send money via email, you should be able to use NFC just like PayPal does, but I guess that's up to Google.

Tmobile atnt and verizon are backing isis, an upcoming competitor to google wallet. So they have not allowed it on our phones..
To clarify, with the new app you no longer need a patched apk or xposed mod. You do need the libs in the flashable zip. You also need to do the app setup while your build.prop is the nexus or sprint values. So some of you have to redo the setup with a modified build.prop (clear data or reinstall to redo the setup)

This worked for me as well. It didn't give me an option to "tap and pay," using the Sprint build.prop. I had cleared Wallet data and reboot but nothing. When I switched to the Galaxy Nexus build.prop, once I reset Wallet and rebooted, I was able to get wallet going, my pin was already attached to my email, which Wallet gave me an option to choose from.
From there, I was able to set-up tap and pay and pick my default payment of choice.
I also noticed a much more lenient "lock" time for Wallet: immediate, 15 minutes, 1 day. I guess if you're running a custom ROM, be sure you don't select "screen on, locked" option for NFC.
I haven't had a chance to use it, as I'm already home for the night, so I'll be testing tomorrow and reporting back.
Has any of you Wallet users been having problems before this new update? Mine suddenly stopped working at CVS and McDonalds, but I can still read and write NFC tags.
I too was missing the tap to pay section after the latest update.
To get it back I uninstalled the latest update then rebooted. Upon reboot the original Google Wallet wouldn't activate.
I then changed the build.prop to the settings in the thread on how to initially install it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2383251
ro.product.device=maguro
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
I rebooted and Google Wallet activated. I then went into the play store and let Google Wallet update itself. I ran it to verify that I could see the tap to pay section then modified the build.prop back to the defaults for the Tmobile SG4. and rebooted.
ro.product.device=jfltetmo
ro.product.model=SGH-M919
ro.product.name=jfltetmo
After this reboot I can still see the tap to pay in the latest version from the app store. I will test it at a 7-11 where I have used Google Wallet previously tomorrow but am hopeful it will work properly.
Hope this helps someone else.

12/12/13 Update: The newest version of RecordMyCall (December 7, 2013) seems to work on our Galaxy S3's. Change the the audio source the source to phone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys, i found a working call recording app that records both sides of the call that works on aosp roms. Tested with Ktoonz kernal on illusions, liquidsmooth, slimbean, and cyanogenmod. The app is called "Record My Call" in the play store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.record.my.call&hl=en

However, i found that only a specific version of the app works with our phone. The version you want to install is Version 5.12.1040 (7 July 2013). You can find this version in the change log page: http://nathanielkh.blogspot.com/2012/11/record-my-call-change-log.html
or you can download below. Up to version 5.14 does sometimes work, but i found 5.12 to always work.
When you open the app, go to Settings, and change to these settings:
Do a quick test by calling yourself if the recording works. At first, the recording will be messed up or you wont hear anything.
What you want to do next is go to Tweaks, and change to these settings:
Do another quick test. By now the recording should be perfect. if it is not, fix permissions, and reboot.
Awesome! Thanks for posting! I know lots o folks will be happy to hear about this!
Do you know if it functions on stock touchwiz? I'll try to test later if you don't know.

Is this LEGIT? I'm usually leary about downloading apk files from 3rd party sites/Anything other than the Google Play Store or from a very trusted source here on XDA or other professional websites... I'm not saying that I don't necessarily trust the OP. I'm just very cautious about downloading apk's from places I'm not too sure of...
Thanks!

nm....I just said what the heck, why not? and I went ahead and tried it. To my surprise, IT WORKED THE FIRST TIME. It works great and records both sides of the call. I'm using this on my d2vzw running Liquid 3.0 and kt747 kernel. For the longest time this wasn't supposed to be possible on AOSP roms, but this must apparently be the first! Thank you VERYYY MUCHHH!!
Just fyi, I tried both the attached and the latest versions on stock touchwiz 4.1.2. Neither worked, so looks like its just for cm/aosp type roms.

You TouchWiz(Samsung) guys are able to record the easy way... If you have Xposed Framework, there's a module made specifically for recording phone calls.
--If you aren't sure what Xposed Framwork is, read this -> Xposed Framework
--It wasn't created with Gingerbread ROMs in mind, but if you're on GB, read up on this -> Xposed Framework back-ported to gingerbread
--Here's ALL KINDS of modules for the Xposed Framework -> Xposed Module Repository
--Annnddddd FINALLY, here's the Recording Module for Xposed Framework! -> Enable Call Recording
That SHOULD get ya started in the right direction if you're on a TW rom. Hope I was able to help ya out! Let us know how things went for ya!
Confirm?

Can anyone else confirm call recorder works on AOSP OS???.
Thanks
PD.I´m try it in slimrom with 4.3 and didn,t work, always grab a 0seconds archive, i,m try install a kt474 kernel but i can´t, any solutions???
I bet it's because you're using a 4.3 Rom. Lots of stuff isn't going to work with those yet. And for something like call recording, don't expect it to any time soon.

Actually, when I tested it and I confirmed that IT DID WORK, I was testing it on my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 running Liquid 3.0(AOSP 4.3) and the 8/31/2013 KT747 kernel. I followed the OP's directions to a "T" and it worked the very first time and every single time since. I haven't had any problems with it at all. I'm very impressed.
I stand corrected. Thanks! Maybe trying that kernel would get it working for the other guy.

To fix permissions you need to access Recovery (TWRP/CWM). Do this by...
1. Holding power button briefly until it says reboot, hit reboot and choose recovery. (If you don't see this, shut off your phone and hold volume up, home button and power together while your phone is turning on)
2. Go to Advanced for TWRP (don't know about CM) and hit fix permissions. Reboot.

I guess I knew this, however using Philz recovery, he canceled the option arguing that it's not relevant.
Meanwhile I resolved.... Uninstalled, found a conflicting app and removed. Reinstalled & walla... It worked.

Do you use the program for call record on International I9300 or in American 9300 (at&t, verizon....).
In my case, in International 9300 the app doesnt works never.

First, I am not trying to take credit for this Rom in any kind of way,it is just the smoothest Rom that I have been able to run on my phone, and I would like to share it.
Credit goes where credit is due, so the people that made this possible are tamirda and dr. ketan for this mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537186 and Lorjay and {Team Rejects} for the stock 4.3 base found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541395, and always chainfire for root

This Rom has everything, wifi hotspot, usb tethering built in
Air Commands, though some don't work because they don't have the sensors
Note 3 apps, and wallpapers, and Pen tools, to help keep you from losing your stylus and some really cool graphics when you use your stylus to unlock the screen.
Really cool features like safety assistance
I mean it has everythingI'm not a developer, this is my first time creating a thread, but this Rom is so awesome and smooth, that I just had to, I am not trying to step on anyone's toes or make anyone mad, but I did put a lot of work into getting this thing to work the way it does, I hope everyone likes it as much as I do, I have been running this for a week now without one problem..

I haven't had any mms issues with this, I had some issues when I first installed an earlier version, but I changed some files in the framework, and like I said, this has been my daily driver for 4 or 5 days without any issues at all...i waited until I think i got it perfect before i created this thread, I uploaded about ten versions, but this is the one that works with no issues at all, i did when I flashed this over another rom, but then did a full data wipe and installed it and havent had one issue since....
usarmyaircav, I just uploaded it to my website because its paid for and shouldn't have any limits on downloads, it shouldn't have any, but let me know

I think air command stuff was in the framework that i had to remove in order for other stuff to work right, but since then I changed a couple other things like SystemUI.apk, because a few things kept crashing, maybe that was the problem and I can put the air command back in. I guess I was just happy that it went so long without any errors.
For everyone having troubles downloading, I wish I knew of a better place to post it, or how to share it as a torrent, that is always the fastest way to download I've been told. I'm checking into other ways to post it.
I have been trying to get Air Gestures to work to no avail, it just wont boot with those framework files at all
There is a really cool ink effect on the lock screen, when you touch the stylus to the lock screen, and you can change ink colors in settings
