New libraries and kernel for TESTING camera including Blackstone. They need testers!
[UPDATED 01/21][DEV - Camera (Diamond, Blackstone, Raphael, Rhodium) ] Camera
ATT! Kernel and libraries updated 02/21. Check first post.
Now cam works as well as you could expect under WM! Autofocus and every app I tried.
You can try it or wait untill changes get commited, and if things go this way that will be soon (in my opinion).
---------------------------------------------------------
Logs will be more helpful if you add this info:
Platform:
XDAndroid/other release: (FRX03-04, etc):
Kernel:
Modules:
And helpful details like modifications to startup.txt or if it's not a clean install, for example. Thanks!
---------------------------------------------------------
Notes (instructions in first post of linked thread, here for fast reference):
-If using FRX03, use the new libGLES_qcom and gralloc - better 3D performance.
-If using FRX04, those libs are included in the new kernel, so don't add/remove that lines from froyo.user.conf
---------------------------------------------------------
How to make logs - easy way
Please post logs in the main thread, it'll be easier for devs to use them.
How to make logs - command line way
1.- If you're in Android, reboot to WM (clean start)
2.- Launch Haret, let Android set down
3.- Enter Settings - Dev tools - Terminal Emulator
4.- write: "su", hit enter, "dmesg > /sdcard/dmesg.txt", hit enter
5.- write: "logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt", hit enter
6.- Start Camera, mess with it, including taking photo if it works
7.- Exit to Home (via red buton), shut off device and get both txt's from root of sdcard.
8.- Attach them to the dev thread!
(Sorry for the multiple edits, I'm learning meanwhile)
GREAT NEWS.....
Love it very much .
@Eodun Hi, I hope this logs help. Thank you for your work on this.

Please, read the main thread pointed in the first post. As you can see in your logcat, the detecte library version is the BASIC_LIB (which means dream library). For camera to work on the blackstone, you need to have the NEW_LIB detected, which is the legend one.
Use the Lib_package on my thread and use the froyo.user.conf file that is in this package. It will automatically bind the camera library to the one needed for blackstone.
I have upgraded Android to FRX04 and with kernel and latest files for camera posted on dedicated thread I was able to have camera working. I will post details to camera main thread.
Thanks,
xdmcmdc
I've managed to get the camera working on FRX04 aswell . Used newest modules, zImage, rootfs and camera lib from the thread in first post.
In 5MP mode I seem to be able to take one picture (which doesn't get saved), and after that I'm not able to take another one. The app doesn't freeze; the camera buttons do still rotate when the phone is turned, but the image does freeze.
In 3MP mode taking pictures WORKS FINE .
Switching to video crashes the camera, but that was to be expected
If more logs are needed I'll be happy to provide them

camera works but lost wifi
Hi. I'm very new to Android but love playing with gadgets (I'm 49 so bare with me) I managed to do the camera updates to FRX04 (which works) but for some reason when I add the zimage from the kernel_modules_01232011_topaz_fix package I lose wifi, it just says "error" when I try and turn it on, can anyone help ? I've obviously done something wrong - Paula

That's because viruscrazy couldn't build modules to work with that kernel. Stick to previous viruscrazy's kernel (the 01/23 update) or main branch one.
is the latest version dated 07-Feb having the same issue with the Wifi?
Also noted that there are updated Krenel and Roofs 10-Feb, is the camera working with them?

Camera only works with viruscrazy's kernels. The last one (AF) doesn't work for blackstone, though.
Wifi works as far as you have the modules that work with the matching kernel
Tried the Viruscrazy's Kernels and works like a charm. Camera 3M pixels + Wifi Ok + audio working perfect. Video not working.
The thread seems to be a bit complicated to read, but it's easy, just follows the following steps:
1. download lib packages dated 23/Jan from point 1 of the viruscrazy's thread, previous backup, unzip the contents on your android SD folder.
2. if you are using FRX4 modify the config as indicated by viruscrazy. I used notepad2.
3. Download Kernel + module package dated 28/Jan from point 2 of the thread and, unzip on your android folder.
4. download the new haret.exe from the thread, modify the start.txt
5. enjoy your camera.

At Neopeek's they've got the camera working with the Camera360 app... I have the app, but not the right kernels... Maybe you should give it a try...
Thought tha you could change the saving location with Camera360.

As you say, it's not an userland (app) problem, it's the kernel support that it's still in debug process. Viruscrazy is getting a great progress atm.
JUST ANOTHER AOSP BUILD!
This is an AOSP Build of 4.0.3 I have made basically no changes as of right now. I have fixed tethering and market restore. I plan to add some useful modifications in the future.
Gapps-403_signed.zip
md5sum cf82c67056c31101cfed0f936cac29c1
Gorilla-toro_AOSP_v1.1.zip
md5sum 9ce8af2122bd743862c0aa6d49bed97d
Full wipe if coming from any other ROM. Especially if they have made framework changes.
Use my gapps if you want to make sure market restore works. These are the same as the latest that are floating around I just included google backup transport apk in mine.
Google Wallet - download the unmodified apk. Install as usual after full wipe. Seems to work, I haven't used it recently though.
Kernel - Stock for now.
Also I can't check any of the NFC stuff because I don't know anyone else with an NFC enabled phone.
Big thanks to everyone as usual, CM Team, RootzWiki, RootzBoat, Birdman, Pete of Bugless Beast fame, I looked at all of their vendor make files to figure out how to set those up.
Source Code: Google AOSP 4.0.3 Master Branch - my changes will uploaded tonight when I get off work to my github.
Post any issues that you notice. I don't expect many though since it is currently a pure AOSP build.
MD5 Sums are correct now.
Facebook Sync fixed, added reboot recovery menu.
Google wallet works. Do a fresh install of Google Wallet after wiping.
I am working on the camera panorama mode.
Reserved one more time
Post on Rootzwiki?
I shall later today. I want to get my source uploaded to my github. Otherwise I will get hear a lot of whining..as in source, source, source..... Just here for now. Upload there tonight or in the morning.
Thanks for this. I've been looking for a mostly-stock 4.0.3 ROM.
This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for! Thank you!
My only reservation is that I really don't want to wipe my device as I've only recently got everything sorted the way I wanted it on my phone. Is there a quick and dirty way to unlock the tethering capabilities with ADB or Root Explorer? Or is that part of the framework that would have to be properly flashed with the installation of a new ROM like this one?
It is part of the Frameworks. It is built into the system. There is no quick and dirty way. You could do a titanium back up and restore everything after the flash. The changes are minimal and should not affect anything from another build. I suppose there could be problems if you restore from 4.02 to 4.03 but you can always Nandroid and try it if you like.
Going to post an update today. It will have working FB sync and a file manager built in from CM otherwise no changes.
do i install this with CWM? can someone tell me how to install this?
I'll be checking this one out soon, been waiting for an all stock 4.0.3
A couple quick questions:
Is it rooted?
Does it have busybox?
Is it deodexed?
On a side note, the md5sums you have listed, are the same for both files

I sure do. Tried to fix permissions to see if that would help to no avail.
Can you rent and watch movies from the market? Each rom I try, it seems either tethering is unlocked, or you can rent and watch movies. I would love a rom where I can do both.
I am now working on Panorama mode. Just found that it force closes, because I never use it. The current release has the Facebook fix, thanks to team kang, also I added in a reboot recovery menu. Otherwise it is stock with working tethering.
I will let you know when I see why panaorma isn't working.
Thanks. I don't use Panorama much, but it's nice to have the feature available.
I will post an update to fix the camera it is simply due to a couple of missing libs that I didn't add to the extract.sh script. I will also fix it and post the updated rom tonight. I am not sure about movies from the market. I think that has something to do with rooted devices and googles agreements with the copyright holders. Probably due to piracy concerns.
Let me know if you notice any other bugs. There really shouldn't be many since it is basically a pure AOSP build.

While you're fixing the panoramic camera, would you be able (and willing) to add back the original live wallpapers and ringtones? Or if not in the build itself, perhaps a separate flashable zip file that would add them back? I tried (and failed) to modify your ROM with these original files added back in and, of course, I only got a bootloop.
If you need the files, I can adb pull them for you and zip them up easily.
Thanks again for your awesome ROM.

Sure, no problem. Zip them up and upload them to dropbox or multiupload or something and I will fix it up over the weekend.
Also, Sorry for the delay on teh camera fix. I have just been extremely busy with a project that is a few days past deadline at work. Unfortunately, real life has to come first....

I am using CyanogenMod 10.1 by TeamCanjica
When I take a picture it gets auto uploaded to dropbox, however dropbox renames the file to 1970-01-01 01.00.00.jpg
The reason for this seems to be that the EXIF data (metadata of the photo) has the wrong date in it, therefore dropbox does not rename the file to the correct date.
Is there any way to fix this?

Can't read external SD card in Bliss v.0001
I'm running a Sprint GSIII, and I have a 64GB SD formatted ExFat in order to store large files. It has worked fine in all previous roms I've tried (both CM/AOSP and Touchwiz, although it's been almost a year since I was on TW). In fact, I have most of my backups and files, including my Titanium Backup files, on the external SD. I just installed Bliss Stock (4.4.4, D2LTE) and my SD card is no longer available. I verified that it's still readable in TWRP and directly in my computer, and did a nandriod restore to my previous ROM (also a 4.4.4 rom, PAC Rom) and it works fine. PAC has been giving me issues and is missing some of the features of Bliss, but this would be a deal breaker. I don't want to reformat the SD in a way that reduces max file size (like FAT32). Other than doing that, what are my options? I've been flashing for some time, but I'm not a developer, and I haven't found any solutions other than changing format to FAT32 (which limits max file size) and vague references to changing kernals or ramdisks with no instructions. Can anyone point me towards a solution that will enable me to use my otherwise fine external SD with this rom?
Thanks!

Tried flashing DKP Kernel as some seem to have, with no success. It appears that DKP used to integrate specific modifications to get ExFat compatibility, but more recently the changelogs seem to indicate that AOSP/CM roms shouldn't require specific drivers for ExFat. I got the kernel flashed no problem, and everything seems to run fine, but it still doesn't see my SD card. For now I've gone back to the PAC rom with Gravity Box to get some features I like, but I'm eager to run Bliss Stalk instead if I can get it to see my SD.
I love this Rom. The only issues om having is when i try to create a guest profile and then open the guest profile it keeps saying google processess has to close and i can never actually get into the guest profile...and it messes up various things in my profile...any way to fix this?
I have a question about mms. Is it just me or when I'm in the stock sms app and I receive a audio clip/video /attachment other than a picture, the sms app force closes and I can't download/see/hear the attachment . Maybe a bad download or something?
Edit: how I fixed my MMS/SMS issues was I used titanium backup to delete the blue colored messaging app that came with the ROM and then downloaded the green colored messaging app from the play store. Everything has been working since. I can send/receive MMS now. Hope this helps.

Have you tried any other kernels? There are a couple you could look at like leankernel or BMS, no clue if either of them support exfat, but take a look

This ****'s been ripped from the official source, bypassed the makers ad's and provided a MEGA link to directly download it. It's from here:

Don't bother getting it from thread. Go ahead and support the developer. It's free for ****s sake.
The poster also failed to mention that root is required to fix the front camera, and video (and flash I think) for S9 and Note 8 devices, as a .lib file must be changed.
Get it from the original source, and join the telegram group for up to date configs. I've also got a couple I've modified myself for better daily use.

I know it's been some time, but currently none of these libs work anymore on latest LOS 17.1. It used to work before the first october update of LOS, but when you replace the lib right now, it will also break the stock camera and none of the GCAM/ZGCAM ports work. The only way to keep it working is to keep the stock libs (that come with vendor image, both in /lib and /lib64). ZGCAM works fine except front cam! For this just use the stock cam app, everything else is functioning great.
