Mobile odin - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Hey kinda new at this but how do i flash a rom on my epic 4g touch using mobile odin pro
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app

Best advice I can give you is to read the wiki. That's what I did when I first got this phone, and it helped a lot.
Sorry, I can't help you though cause I never used mobile odin to flash a rom, I always did it in recovery.

I've only done it once but it worked well. You need a tar.md5 file which you can extract from a one click tar file. The cool thing is Mobile Odin can inject root and Super SU for you during the flash by checking all 3 boxes in Everroot section. I did this going from FL04 to FK23 because the one click had not been rooted yet.

Hey dvtmg, which root method did you use? Most likely, you have the stock android recovery which will not allow you to do a nandroid backup, or flash roms. You will need a custom recovery (CWM, Rogue, ACS) to begin either of those processes.

If you run auto root I think it's option 3 to add cwm. Not sure though but check it out.

Yes option 3 is for installing CWM only. As far as a rom I would recommend calk's it will give you the features you are looking for.
Thanks

Can I use mobile odin to unroot

I am running jellyverse fl16. I am needing to unroot because I am selling my phone and the person buying it is having it flashed to cricket. She took it to cricket and they said they cant flash it because its on jellybean. I juet need to unroot it and get it back to stock. I dont have a computer so I need to know if I can do this from mobie odin. I have tried to search this and came up with nothing. Can I use qbkings unroot video but from mobie odin. I also have a nanidroid thats a backup from the stock rom. If I can just flash that I would rather flash that but I didnt know if there would be any issues because im on jellybean and thats ics. Thanks to who ever can help.

Use mobile odin to put the fi27 one click full restore on. Or even the new fL24 from sextape. That one is the newest ota from sprint. Plus if it is the one from sextape there is no root. If you do any method using mobile odin flash the modem in cwm before you odin. Mobile odin will not flash the modem. And if you put an ics rom on it wont have any data. Because ics will not use jb modems.

Error whilst flashing cwm + root

Im running a stock rom and kernel with a root using th exynos abuse app. I tried then flashing cwm using mobile odin. Now if I boot into recovery the initial GN2 screen with the model name flashes up before jumping all over the screen and going blank. I hold the power button down and it happens a second time before it boots normally on the third go.

Thanks....I'm travelling without a PC, but I'll hassle another traveller to let me use theirs when I find one.
So using mobile odin or cwm to flash twrp works differently than odin on pc?

I have used to flash zip many times
Copy flashable zip to sd card (int/ext)
Open mobile Odin
Select ota/update zip
Point to zip you have copied
Flash.

Yes I prefer it too over cwm. And is much faster too in creating backups or other tasks.

Tar files flash through Mobil Odin.
E4GT Rom-a-holic!!!
Being specific is your friend! GB27 what?:
-Stock ROM?
-Stock TW Kernel? (since no stable custom GB27 kernel)
-Modem?
Just saying GB27 is very very broad. As stated though, yes .tar files are the ones that mobile odin flashes. Let me know which GB27.. whatever.. You need and I'll get you a download link

assuming you mean GB27 stock ROM, here are numerous links. Download whichever suits your needs, links go to a download for odin one click and mobile odin .tar files
