BlueTooth Mouse - Samsung Captivate Glide

I tried a Bluetooth Mouse and wow works great under IceCream Sandwich.
The mouse appears and you can click and right click opens the menu button.
I found this post from another topic that someone posted useful because our GLide works the same way. Look at his mouse pointer in his provided screen shot same thing I am seeing:
vodrin said:
Wow didn't even know this was supported so well. Pairing up brings up a mouse pointer until the connection is lost.
LMB obviously simulates touch.
RMB is the back hotkey
MB3 is the menu hotkey (top right icon)
Scroll up-down traverses open menus. LMB to select. Will scroll in the browser and system wide such as in polaris office.
Full movement as expected from desktop OSs.

MyMobiler (1.23)

Anyone on here using MyMobiler?
I'm using Duttys 1.6 and when I move my mouse onto the phone (rather than using the desktop view), I cant see the mousepointer on the phone. Anyone else have this problem?
It worked OK on my old Orbit but that had a "Mouse" option in settings somwhere.

If you right-click on your PC MyMobile icon and click "Connect" (rather than double-clicking to open the window on your desktop), then change "Mouse Cursor To" from "Disabled" to either "Left" or "Right", when you then move your PC mouse off the "Left" or "Right" of your screen, it should move onto you phone.
It does seem to work (clicking opens menus, runs apps etc), you just cant see your mouse pointer.
Yes, I am using MyMobiler in the same version and it works with no problems. Also after I change from a vogue to the blackstone.
Only the skin-mode doesn't work for me.

So you both see a mousepointer on your phone?
Hi
I have My Mobiler and I see a mouse pointer on the phone image on the laptop screen.
I have in My Mobiler the option "Mouse cursor to" set to disable. I have never looked at this option before (!!) but it all works fine for me.
I open Mobiler and I have a working mouse that scans across the laptop and onto the image of the phone. On the phone image I'm able to activate various options with the mouse including tap and hold.

HD Skin
Hmm, strange. I see the pointer on my phone occasionally but its very "flickery", I'll try a soft-reset see if that fixes it.
In the mean time, attached is an HD skin I just knocked together.
There's also a Touch HD skin on the MyMobileR forum if you search for mymobiler touch hd skin in Google.

If you want a working skin mode, you can use EveryWAN Remote Support
from Sparus Software.
I am one of the developers and we made it free for all.
WOW! that is genius! MyMobile was flaky at best for me, and was of limited use. Just installed EveryWAN (about 30 mins ago) and haven't stopped playing since! Great tools - esp. the macros. Many thanks for providing this to the community.
The second time I went to use it, my Touch Pro started to "click", and on my PC, I got the error message...
"An unhandled win32 exception occurred in MyMobiler.exe [2772]".

How it works
Hi
1. Get mymobiler up and running.
2. Set (e.g.) mouse cursor to right
3. Close mymobiler BY USING THE "X" BUTTON
4. Move cursor off right hand side of computer screen.
Voila
I could'nt get the latest version of MyMobiler working on my Topaz - installed "EveryWAN Remote Support Personal Edition" - its a breeze - everythings working fine.

[Q] How do I enable the mouse pointer in CM7-GX4(EX+4G)

Yes you can. But the mouse pointer support has not been added into CM7.
It was fully functional in CM6.1 and I'm confident it will be added into CM7 as well.
really I was under the assumption that android was built as a tablature os thus not supporting a mouse pointer I guess you learn something new everyday. So cm6.1 supports a mouse pointer?? I'll have to try it.
I'm in the same boat as OP... Ms bt 5000 mouse and keyboard....cm7 nightly 17 post rc2...no cursor or mouse pointer but instead mouse movements move from field to field...unusable....believe cursor was working great in 6.1.2 .... interestingly under remote desktop mouse works great (except for scroll button or right button) but yeah...there's a cursor... keyboard works great too...as does HDMI mirror... only thing is hid doesn't account for rotation of screen....mouse n KB think still in portrait mode...

HID Bluetooth Mouse

Hey Folks,
I'm using the Desire HD with the Cyanogen Mod 7 (latest Version from 2 Days ago).
Now I connected via Menu (Wireless & Networks --> Bluetooth) a simple "noname" Bluetooth Mouse and the pairing did happen. I used "0000" as Pairing-Code and the Desire gives me the Message "Connected with HID-Device" (or something like that, I use the german language).
Now I should see a Mousearrow or something should happen if I scroll or press a Button.
But nothing happens.
The Mouse itselft works properly - I tried it in Windows7 and Suse-Linux.
I also tried the App BlueInput (latest and some previous versions) but there its the same. I get connected properly but it wont work.
Now I'm hopefully waiting for your ideas (and I hope there are some)
Thanks in advance!
Ok, correct me if I'm wrong, you want to use a mouse to control your handset? Where the handset is directly in front of you?
I dont know if Android supports this. If you wish to remotely control your handset try WebKey from the market.

Well, there is also a possibility to make use of a WiiMote...
I see this more as a proof of concept.
What about the Motorola Atrix within its "to-Netbook-conversation-Docking"?
Internal Keyboard + BT Mouse = playable Quake3 on Android
Err bubble to bursting station, you can use a wiimote on a DHD quite easily. You can even do it with Apps available from the market place, hey you can even use the classic controller and nunchuck with it.
I have used it (not entirely successfully) to play N64 games on an emulator
At first : Thanks for your responses!

Yes, I want to control my Desire HD with a mouse when I stand next to it. If I wouldn't, I wouldn't have asked for it
The thing is that I need a Mousewheel - or at least something that can emulate one.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the WiiControl doesn't have such a feature.
What I found out is, that the Cyanogen 7 doesn't support Mouseweel-Actions.
I installed the latest 6.1 - et voilla - I get a Cursor and the Mousewheel works.
But unfortunately it doesn't work if I use it in a Flashmovie with the WebKit-Browser.
It seems that the Events are not tunneled into the Flashapp.
Someone got an idea for a workaround?
Ps: I like the idea of playing Quake3 on my Desire - but I prefer Quake1
Is there a way of using the mousewheel in a self-written application!?
That could also solve my problem
I mean, in the Cyanomod I can scroll around through lists an so on. There must be a way! (hopefully)

[Q] Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse

Hi,
Has anyone used a bluetooth keyboard/mouse with the SGS2?
If so, what was your experience and which devices did you use?
It would be nice to have a list of devices that are AVAILABLE and play nice with the SGS2 so we don't all end up buying 5 keyboards trying to find a decent one.
This is obviously a precursor to the MHL cable dropping and being able to navigate the device over MHL Mirroring.
Cheers!
Check the end of my video here, BT keyboard and mouse working fine:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giJXF5pIITc
The keyboard I'm using is the iGo Stowaway Ultraslim Keyboard, sadly not made any more. Nearly any BT HID Profile device should work with the SGSII.
For starters I would guess that all the ones in this -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=799079&highlight=bluetooth+keyboard+mouse
- thread for the SGSI will work fine.
Ah cool cheers, i do remember you saying that your keyboard was no longer available sadly.
I was thinking something like this would be great to just kick back and use as a media controller....

I'll take a look through that thread, thanks for that.

anyone can check if it work? or advise similar mini keyboards which would work on our device..
I have the same question... did a bit of research and found the following:
Foldable freecom model, 54 quids. Reviews indicate it's decent, has a little tray to hold the phone but it's also 'cheaply built':
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Freedom-BTF...1_6?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1306668294&sr=1-6
The official Apple wireless keyboard. Great build, but not foldable. 50 quids
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-MC184B-A-Wireless-Keyboard/dp/B002TUSWU4/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
A clone of the above, 22 quids.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-W...1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1306669505&sr=1-3
I'm not seeing any 'great' options here... can someone suggest anything else?
I have this keyboard:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Freedom-Pro...IWJ6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1306675360&sr=1-1
It works fine, save for the buttons that are specific to certain OS. It's not my favorite keyboard, tho.
I just purchased this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Folding-Bluetoo...66?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item53e6f9a18a
I have one from about 10 years ago that was made for a Handspring PDA and it was hands-down the best portable keyboard I've ever used, so I'm hoping this one will be just as good. I also have a Jorno keyboard on order, but there's no ETA on its release yet.
I've also used a Bluetooth mouse with the phone, and it also works fine. Mine's the Razer Orochi.
Logitech dinovo mini works well...
(only complaint is that the keyboard layout is scandinavian/swedish) and the phone gets the default english letters. Probably just have to change key mapping but have not gotten around to that yet)

Does anybody know how to use a different keyboard layout than US/GB?
I have a German version of this keyboard.
Same with me.
My keyboard finally arrived, and it's pretty good. Seems it may have a defect (it's typing some double letters on some keys, R and Space especially), but other than that, it's pretty much an exact replica of the one I used to have, and it feels great. I highly recommend it.

Hello!
I tested a Nokia SU-8W bluetooth keyboard, it comes with a Nokia N8.
Works well, no pairing issues, very clean to do it .
I don't know how to do with the keyboard the same actions as "option" or "home" buttons . At least, Esc key works as back button.
I miss to have a bluetooth mouse at the same time... is a needed partner for this keyboard.

On the couple of Bluetooth keyboards I've been using, these combinations worked:
Fn+left arrow: Home
Fn+right arrow: Sleep
Fn+1: Option/menu
Fn+(hold) left arrow: Recent
Fn+(tap x2) left arrow: Voice Talk
Been playing with other combinations, but those are all the ones I've been able to find so far.

Actually, I am interested in remapping keys. I have a Palm 3245WW bluetooth keyboard and I sometimes have to write in Greek, which involves using some accents (for intonation). The on-screen keyboard will give me these accents if I long press on the keys of the stock Greek layout, but I haven't figured out how to do this with the bluetooth keyboard. Any help would be appreciated.

Review of Logitech T630 Ultrathin Touch Mouse w/lots of pics!!!

This is a review of Logitech T630 Ultrathin Touch Mouse. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/ultrathin-touch-mouse-t630
Before I start my review, let me get this upfront: YES, it WORKS with Android!!! The name Logitech is synonymous with keyboard and mouse accessories, and not just quality but also forward looking design. After T630 introduction, I was a bit disappointed it's spec only included support for Windows8 and Windows7. Without a doubt the intent of a mouse is to be used with a PC or a laptop. But with growing popularity of tablets and large display smartphones, as well as people connecting their phones to a bigger "tv" screen, more people use a wireless mouse and a keyboard to turn their smartphone into a computer. Nothing beats putting your tablet or a phablet on a kickstand and enjoying scrolling through a webpage using a wireless mouse. How about doing that and much more in style with a sexy ultrathin T630!!! Let's take a closer look.
Before you even get to T630, you can't help but to stare at the display box it comes packaged in. This is not your typical box to open and to throw away, this one is a keeper to showcase your T630 when not in use, displaying it like a trophy Once you take it out of the box, the next surprise is how lightweight and smooth it feels in your hand. At only 68g with dimensions of approximately 85mm in length, 50mm/60mm in width between narrow and wide parts, and 5mm/15mm in thickness as it narrow down toward the front edge, its very compact and super portable. With a body made out of brushed metal and silky-smooth touch surface it feels almost like a pebble in your hand. When you flip it over, there is micro-usb charging port (including provided angled micro-usb to usb cable), on/off switch, pair-up Connect button, and a switch between 2 bluetooth devices. Yes, you can pair it up with 2 different bluetooth devices and use one at a time with a flip of a switch. This is a perfect combination to have in a setup with a smartphone and a laptop. Also, it has rapid charge mode where 1-2 minutes on usb charger or connected to your computer usb port will provide enough charge for about an your of work. Full charge can last you up to 10 days.
The mouse itself has two ways of operation. First of all, you have your traditional Right, Left, and Middle mouse clicks, and then you also have 9 touch gestures. One thing you need to keep in mind, this is not exactly a touch pad where you tap for mouse clicks. The mouse click itself is a physical action where you need to apply a force to click it, while touch gestures are performed by swiping your finger on the surface of the mouse. I personally found this to be very useful in preventing accidental clicking when you hover over the mouse with a palm of your hand and need to physically move it in order to change pointer position on the screen. This logistics has a slight learning curve to get used to operation, but afterwards it becomes natural. You move and click it like a regular mouse, and you use touch gestures as shortcuts for Windows7/8 functions and scrolling through multi-page documents or pages in your browser on any platform. The only difference with Windows is that you have access to Logitech free SetPoint software which allows additional fine-tuning of operation. The basic click/tap/swipe operations are described as following:

Of course, the main interest is HOW does it work with Android on your phone? There was no issues pairing it up with my Note 2, and afterwards all I had to do is flip the power switch and mouse pointer was there on my screen. I found this mouse to work on almost any surface. It easily scrolls up/down through webpages and left/right between your phone screens by simply gliding your finger on the mouse surface up/down. Left click works perfectly as "Enter", and Right click works perfectly as "Back" button (!!!). To make things even better, Middle button click works perfectly as "Home" button. So, you are in a total control of your Android smartphone/tablet navigation.
Overall, I think its a fantastic mouse which packs some incredible functionality. The current price on Amazon for $49.99 makes its a great value, considering its advance design, solid build, battery endurance with rapid charging, and flexibility to work in both Windows and Android environments. If you are looking to buy a wireless mouse for your smartphone, I can't think of a better choice than T630 where you get a mouse to control your on-screen pointer, to use touch controls for document, webpages, and phone screen navigation, and to have a direct shortcut access to Enter/Back/Home with three "invisible" click buttons. This one definitely gets my high recommendation!
Here are the pictures.
Just made a video review of how this Logitech T630 mouse works with my android phone. This is my first official video review, so please go easy on me, I'm still an amateur when it comes to YT reviews and this one was made in one shot just now without any editing. Perhaps if I get enough positive feedback, I can continue with more video reviews.

Funny you mentioned this. I was using this mouse with my Note 2 for navigation only, so didn't test it with a keyboard typing. Well, today I was playing around with my Omate TS smartwatch which is basically an Android device with 1.5" screen, and used T630 for easier navigation. Discovered the same problem where I couldn't use on-screen keyboard when paired up with a mouse. It considers this mouse as input device so virtual keyboard gets disabled, I guess. I will continue playing around, but as of now don't have a solution. If you figure it out, please post it in here.
So I returned the ultrathin mouse and got the Microsoft Sculpt BT mouse... same thing happened! It thinks my mouse is the default mouse AND keyboard. And also has my BT keyboard as thed default kb. So they are both default....????? Yikes. It seems to be a problem with the tablet and not the mouse used.

I think it has something to do with bluetooth profile of that mouse. Logitech makes a lot of wireless keyboards, and combos of keyboard/touchpad that work with Android devices (like their famous K400 keyboard). Perhaps they use the same bluetooth profile with all of them to pair up as mouse/keyboard, thus messing up control on a phone and a tablet? In a worst case, you can use T630 paired up wireless and also pair up another keyboard or attach one through OTG usb? Though it defeats the whole purpose of using a wireless mouse and on-screen touch keyboard.
That is what I'm doing at the moment.

Loving using this mouse on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1. The only problem is, the tablet also thinks it's a bluetooth keyboard. So when I don't want to use my real bluetooth keyboard, I have to turn off the mouse because it prevents the on-screen keyboard from coming up. Any suggestions?

I can't post the link to the solution I found but if you google search "android enable on screen keyboard" the stackexchange link at the top worked for me on my Nexus 10.
The problem, in Note Pro 12.2 is that when you connect Logitech T630 mouse, don't show in "Select an input method" the option "Hardware Physical Keyboard ON/OFF". In other device, Xperia Ultra Z, Nexus 7, this yes is show at connect the mouse and on screen keyboard go again if you put "Hardware Physical Keyboard" in OFF.
I wait this clear the problem with this beautiful mouse:laugh:
