Can someone recommend headphones set with microphone and remote working with Galaxy S3 (please don't mention the stock one ) ?
Literally everything I see on Amazon works with iPhone, iPad, but not S3 verified.
I currently have Bose headphones, but neither microphone is working with S3, nor the volume control and only the Start/Stop (middle button) does its job.
Price range?

Im currently running MH1C's from sony. Together with the Wolfson DAC module and lossless recorded flacs playing with poweramp it is so much better than stock. And it costs only 30€

I can only think of the Klipsch Image S4A but it doesn't have volume controls or theres the Fischer Audio Eterna's
Try MEElectronics. I have the M9P and they sound awesome, a $25 pair of in-ears sound better than a Sen he is wrong worth $75.

Well ig your not just open to IEMS then check out the Vmoda M100 headphones
They are super portable and sound so bloody good with the S3, especially if your rooted and have the ACID tweaks
Bass is the best I have heard with superb mids and lively smooth highs, you will find lots of reviews on head Fi, a few on Amazon and CNets is quite accurate
If these are out of your price range then maybe try a VMODA M80 its on ear but has significantly less bass so it's up to personal preference
Some good IEMS may be the Philips Cityscape the ones tbat come in brown or purple, i have these and don't use them since I got my GS3 and would be willing to sell them for a decent price!
Good luck

Klipsch S4A great buds. Trust me if you can afford 90 bucks for them get them!
Also has mic, button to change songs, skip, previous and customizable from the Klipsch app.
The A in S4A is Android
Don't get S4I that for iPhone

I tried the Klipsch S4A but when I compared it to my old Sennheiser MM 50, it's no contest. The Senn requires much less volume level than the Klipch. I tried the larger ear bud, it improved it a little bit, but still nowhere close as the Senn.
I am no audiophile, so I don't know if the Klipsch, while having less volume is better in sound quality than the Senn.
In the end I returned it and bought the next Senn up from the 50, the MM 70i. Very happy with it.
do these work for making calls also? I have a pair of skull candy that dont work at all with calls and I recently switched to CM 10.1 and the samsung stock ones don't work either..

so i bought some headphones from walmart the other day. they were behind glass so i figured id give em a shot.
they are logitech ultimate ears 350... for 50 bucks u cant go wrong
they sound better than my beats audio headphones at 1/4 the cost. if you like your sound check em out.
I love these! I got them off Amazon for $45 free shipping. Logitech Ultimate Ears 350.
if youre budget allows check out the Klipsch s4 or s4a (same thing but with android controls). best buds you can get for under $200. can be had online for around $60

i have bought/used MANY headphones and as far as earbuds go... i have not experienced anything with such clear highs and mids and amazing bass as with the klipsch s4i's. yea, s4I. its the iphone version but i got the headset controls to work on my android phone with jays headset app and the headset Fix. out of the 10 or so pairs of earbuds, the Klipsch are not the most expensive but the best sounding. i have yet to try the Logitechs so thanks for this post.

I picked up a set of the Bose IE2 while they were on sale for $59. They are excellent for music and so far the best that I have found for watching movies. They really have bass that I haven't heard in other headsets. If you want to go wireless, the Backbeat 906 bluetooth headset works great. You can use it as a bluetooth headset as well has your headphones.
The type of headphones you buy can depend highly on your needs. Personally I use http://www.amazon.com/SoundMAGIC-Noise-Isolating-In-Ear-Earphones/dp/B005HP3OB0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1332509801&sr=8-3 cause they have stellar sound quality for the price and I go through IEMS quickly. I have lived in a lot of IEMS in my time using references like http://www.head-fi.org/f/103/portable-headphones-earphones-and-in-ear-monitors and http://anythingbutipod.com/ They have some good reviews from IEM enthusiasts.
i love skullcandy earbuds. cheap..loud...durable...great bass response, loud and crisp
i got some headphones in my hoodie buddie (machine washable) and their fantastic. for some cheap headphones. work pretty well.
nice options here keep em coming
I prefer sennheiser headphones... they're just impeccable...
If you can find somewhere that has the V-Moda headphones in stock they are well worth the money.
I have the ear buds, on ear and over ear cans and I would put them up against headphones costing twice as much.

Ultimate Ears are decent but the only IEMs that are truly deserving of anyone's cash are Shures. Their entire line is pretty much best in class. The Klipsch S4s can sound good if you've never heard anything better.
As far as Beats and Bose are concerned... lol
I had a pair of Shure SE115m. They are comfortable with great sound and bass and they lasted me for 2 years. The most durable noise cancelling ear phones ever.
I love their modular cable design (THEY GOT RID OF IT! =[) . The original cable crapped out but I bought another 3.5mm cable to replace it and its still going strong. Worth the investment imo.
I'm looking to get a new set of headphones, wondering what everyone is using.
I'm looking for some that are less than $30-40, not looking for audiophile quality, just good solid headphones.
I want earbuds so that i can carry them with me. tangle free would be a plus, as would android controls and a mic.
I found these 2 on amazon for cheap, anyone have any experience with either?

I'm not sure if over the ears are an option but these are excellent for the price, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001RB24S2/ref=cm_sw_r_an_am_ap_am_us?ie=UTF8. Fantastic bass, clear highs, deep lows. Sound stomps beats. As far as comfort, the pads are extremely soft and light weight.

sorry, I should have specified, I'm looking for ear buds, to be able to put them in my pocket and carry with me. I edited original post.
I would highly suggest the NuForce NE600M ($30). It doesn't have in-line volume controls, but it has the mic and button for pausing/skipping. I don't own this model, but I do own three others from the same company (including the model that this one replaced) and they sound great and the mic is surprisingly decent considering the cost. I can't vouch for how well the self-detangling cord works, since its new to this model, but it does have it.
I can't post links yet, but just search NE600M on amazon, it comes in black, red, and lime. The NE600X ones do not have the mic.
I actually like the ones the phone came with

If you want something with controls that offer quality it's going to cost around ~50. Probably more i.e. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001RB24S2/ref=cm_sw_r_an_am_ap_am_us?ie=UTF8
Keep in mind if you want full functionality control, the headphones should be labeled as Android compatible.

Not quite the $40 mark... But I've really enjoyed these noise cancelling buds from Rocketfish. I paid $60 at Bestbuy sometime ago.
Bought the Image S4 Black In-Ear Headphones at Best Buy a year ago. They sell for $79 but they are well worth the money. I've been blown away by them, the sound quality is beyond anything Bose has made and it also blocks out outside noise/sound!

See head-fi.org XEARS appreciation thread here.
Also... use the promo code: KLANGFUZZIS and the total will be about $43.32 USD for XE200PRO. Only downside is the shipping... I got mine in about 10 days but it was worth the wait.
For reference, my Xears XSR330 has better all around sound with a punchier bass than my $120 Westone UM1. It's also much louder.

Picked up the Monster Turbine Gold's for $140 on sale at Amazon a while back... love em!
Audio is extremely subjective. Not everyone has the same hearing, the same sound signature preferences or even budget for that matter. Headfi is a good place to get started, but in order to appreciate the sound of the headphones, words are not nearly enough You'll have to give them a listen yourself.
I own 3 headphones I use with my S3.
1st. Samsung Infuse Earphones that came with that phone when I got it back in March. Works good for me honestly.
2nd. Motorola S9-HD 1stGen. Bluetooth. Yeah they actually still work even with all my sweat in them. Sounds good but can't get good bass cause I lost my large ear cushions for them.
3rd. My Motorola S805? I believe that came with my Giro snowboarding helmet 3 years ago. Those things are also still kicking!!!
Yeah I take care of my stuff. Honestly though, clear sound is important, but holy flippin' crap I'm not spending $400 for music listening!!!
I find my s3 oem is good enough for daily use . I also have klipsch x10 which is amazing for its size the only thing bad about the klipsch is the built quality other than that the sound is superb !

IE800 are much, much better:
http://en-de.sennheiser.com/ie-800
They can be fitted with a cable that works 100% with Samsung Galaxy S series phones.
I have used Audeo Phonak PFE 022 and cannot recommend them: the mic is really not very good and the sound quality left me wanting compared to even Sennheiser's low end line, like mm70i.
There really aren't very many good mic-headsets that work with Galaxy S III without any additional adapter cables and w/ full inline remote controls.

Are you using any kind Portable Amplifier with your IE80?
Loving my Rock-It R50's, but it really depends what kind of music you listen to.
check out http://www.head-fi.org
Currently, Shure SE315 's. Next week I'll have VSonic GR07. However for the high-end IEM's mentioned here. What's your complete setup? Please.
SE315, Paid version of Equalizer
(fx music off) and most importantly is my fiio E6 Portable Amplifier (best $25 I've ever spent)
The IE80's, Shure 535's mentioned, please what kind of setup?
I was about to purchase the Westone 4r but the VSonic GR07 are too highly rated at half the price with the FiiO E11, It will be the music I've ever heard. But these new small portable Amplifier give us the power needed.
OK, I hang out in the earphone forums, looking for those with sound quality.

i like the one with good sound quality, good bass, very cheap, decent looking.
Was considering the Shure pro series, but my student loans said otherwise... ended up getting the ZAGG smartbudds from the people that make Invisible Shield screen protectors. The sound quality is fantastic, the buds stay in my ears, the weird 'hanging tight' cord config actually is fantastic. Best part, got them on Amazon for £25. Bargain.

Currently using either my JH Audio JH13 Pros or Westone ES3X. Some of the best IEMs you can get. If you value sound and isolation, I'd recommend even the cheapest of IEMs from westone or JHA over any earbud or earphone. There are some even cheaper IEMs from smaller companies that have gotten very good reviews on head-fi.
When I don't want wires, I use a Motorola SF600 w/Comply tips.
Awesome bluetooth earphones that support Apt-X. With the comply tips they have thundering bass and clear mids/highs that rival some mid tier and more expensive wired earphones I've tried such as my Phonak PFE122, Phiaton MS 400, and V-Moda Crossfade LP. Bass is so strong I actually have to put low freqs into the negatives in the EQ to balance it out, after which they sound incredible considering I've never thought any BT earphone/headphones sounded good.
As far as headphones, the only one I've tried and kept that could compare to the 2 IEMs listed above in terms of sound and isolation is my Beyer Dynamics DT1350, although the new Sennheiser Amperior has gotten my attention lately and costs about the same as the DT. Supposedly slightly better comfort and sound, so may try it later on.
not really a fan of the in ear types, skullcandy hesh 2

Hi xda forumers,
I'm looking for awesome quality earbuds that won't cost more than $90-100 and have a mic/music controls.
I've been using Beats Pro Detox, but as a glasses-wearer, my ears hurt like hell if I use them for more than an hour, the headphones are real tight.
Otherwise, I use cheap sennheiser earbuds, but I'm looking for something with much better sound quality, and not beats (as I know their earbuds are total garbage).
Any suggestions?

I just got a pair of Klipsch S4 in ear headphones and they're pretty amazing for the price. Sound quality is better than the set of Beats Tours that i had and half the price. List on them is $80 bucks, but you can get them for $60 on Amazon. They make S4a's as well with music control/mics for androids for not much more, but I prefer them without it personally.
I also bought a set of Sol Republic Amps HD's for $100 as well and to be honest, I like sound on the Klipsch set a little better. The design on the Sol's are pretty sick though.

I'd say both these and the Klipsch S4a2's mentioned above should be on your shortlist to test out.
