so i bought some headphones from walmart the other day. they were behind glass so i figured id give em a shot.
they are logitech ultimate ears 350... for 50 bucks u cant go wrong
they sound better than my beats audio headphones at 1/4 the cost. if you like your sound check em out.
I love these! I got them off Amazon for $45 free shipping. Logitech Ultimate Ears 350.
if youre budget allows check out the Klipsch s4 or s4a (same thing but with android controls). best buds you can get for under $200. can be had online for around $60

i have bought/used MANY headphones and as far as earbuds go... i have not experienced anything with such clear highs and mids and amazing bass as with the klipsch s4i's. yea, s4I. its the iphone version but i got the headset controls to work on my android phone with jays headset app and the headset Fix. out of the 10 or so pairs of earbuds, the Klipsch are not the most expensive but the best sounding. i have yet to try the Logitechs so thanks for this post.

I picked up a set of the Bose IE2 while they were on sale for $59. They are excellent for music and so far the best that I have found for watching movies. They really have bass that I haven't heard in other headsets. If you want to go wireless, the Backbeat 906 bluetooth headset works great. You can use it as a bluetooth headset as well has your headphones.
The type of headphones you buy can depend highly on your needs. Personally I use http://www.amazon.com/SoundMAGIC-Noise-Isolating-In-Ear-Earphones/dp/B005HP3OB0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1332509801&sr=8-3 cause they have stellar sound quality for the price and I go through IEMS quickly. I have lived in a lot of IEMS in my time using references like http://www.head-fi.org/f/103/portable-headphones-earphones-and-in-ear-monitors and http://anythingbutipod.com/ They have some good reviews from IEM enthusiasts.
i love skullcandy earbuds. cheap..loud...durable...great bass response, loud and crisp
i got some headphones in my hoodie buddie (machine washable) and their fantastic. for some cheap headphones. work pretty well.
nice options here keep em coming
I prefer sennheiser headphones... they're just impeccable...
If you can find somewhere that has the V-Moda headphones in stock they are well worth the money.
I have the ear buds, on ear and over ear cans and I would put them up against headphones costing twice as much.

Ultimate Ears are decent but the only IEMs that are truly deserving of anyone's cash are Shures. Their entire line is pretty much best in class. The Klipsch S4s can sound good if you've never heard anything better.
As far as Beats and Bose are concerned... lol
I had a pair of Shure SE115m. They are comfortable with great sound and bass and they lasted me for 2 years. The most durable noise cancelling ear phones ever.
I love their modular cable design (THEY GOT RID OF IT! =[) . The original cable crapped out but I bought another 3.5mm cable to replace it and its still going strong. Worth the investment imo.

I got a pair of Philips for $12 off Amazon that have lasted me half a year so far (no damage or anything). Way longer than any pair of in-ear headphones I've had before.
Sorry guys, i'm a sucker for Klipsch headphones.
The V-Moda Crossfade M-80 on-ear headphones. They are pricey though (at $200/ set), but they are built like a tank and are the best headphones I've heard to date.

I have a $25 pair of sennheisers, I love them, great quality and it has this little clip that makes the cord 1/3 the length to prevent tangling, it's I'd say 60% effective, but still it helps.

Me too. The sound is out of this world. The treble is simply astonishing! I was able to improve the fit, and save cost on comply foams, by stuffing the comply foam inside the silicon tips. This saves me buying a pack of new ones every two months.
But seriously, these are the best sounding IEM's I've ever heard. Lol at the people who buy bose or beats instead .

The B&W really aren't that good. You can look some reviews on them at head-fi. The really should only cost €100 or something. You pay for the looks instead of sound quality. The thing only uses one dynamic driver, and while that can turn out pretty well, like in for example the sennheiser IE8, it is not the case for the B&W.

Ultimate Ears are awesome.
I have a pair of NuForce NE-700X (sans microphone, which is the M model) and I just finished the requisite 50 hour burn in. They sound incredible, and after trying different sizes of tips, I finally settled on some that isolate well.

Hopefully u`re not gonna laugh, but my oppinion is that the stock headphones are the best for my GS2. I have over 30 pairs of headphones +/- control talk on them varoius brands (Beats, Bose, AKG, Marley, Skull...etc) and i`ve paid ****loads of money to buy them. maby my ears are a bit old ) but i`ve been testing and testing: best music fidelity i get with the stock ones. Of course after hotroadding them on some headphone amps with powerfull signal. I personally choose them over Monster Beats, but that just my oppinion.
Anywayz if u wanna buy a new headset don`t do it online. Go to the store and phisically try them. That`s how u get really happy
I don't like in-ear earphones, I prefer the classic ones.
I think the best are in the third link u posted
I'm actually looking to buy a new pair of the stock ones. I loved them, but I lost one of the ear bud fittings.
I went to a Bell store and they said they'd be able to give it to me for free but apparently they're on back order and have been for a while.

Best ones:
Over-ear: Philips O'Neill line, indestructible headphones, its hard but you can buy cords with controls for specific gadgets (example: iPhone on apple store) -> http://www.amazon.com/Philips-SHO95...KKUS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1339635632&sr=8-1
in-ear: The beats by Dr. Dre, with his incredible beauty -> http://beatsbydre.com/products/showproducts.aspx?startBanner=2
Klipsch S4A will be the best bet. Good mids and highs with plenty of bass response. Also it is excellently priced for what you get. It cannot be faulted. I used to have them but recently upgraded to a pair of Shure Se215.

I have the normal S4's, so without inline remote, because I use them in combination with a Sony Ericsson MW600. Not quite like my Sennheiser HD598's but they give a pretty good seal and are perfect for when commuting or something.
curious
im wondering the same on a good well priced headset. preferably in ear with good bass and acoustic. im currently using lg hbs-700 which are nice bluetooth headset that sits around ur neck. but lacks bass. and samsung in ear buds that also lack much bass.
Hello,
I'd like to buy me a new pair of headphones (not in ear phones). I'd like this to have a mic and 3 buttons compatible with my Samsung Galaxy s2. It would be nice if it will be also compatible with other phones.
I've already looked the different Monster Beats model (nice design but performance/price not so interessing), and some other Headphones.
basing on your experience, which headphone should i pick?
best regards
elvan121
I like Skull Candy. Am a big fan of earbud styles, and these are the most comfortable I've tried of that kind and come with 3 sizes of buds to customize if you need to. Good price point. Many models also have a volume control for the headphone on the cord line - something I always look for. And I find they have good bass to boot. Just my opinion though.
You can buy the skull candy hesh 2.0 and comes detachable cord. And you can buy this htc cable with remote all three buttons work on galaxy s 2
Here is link for both of them :

I can recommend Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic headphones.
PLEASE, dont buy skullcandy(same for wesc, urbanears, beats by Dr.dre). The sound is horrible and the buildquality sucks. You can get way better headphones for that price! Get Sennheiser CX300 f.ex., they sound quite nice and the price is pretty fair. I would also recommend you to buy a pair of klipsch S4, pretty unknown but they have a brilliant sound!

because the ones i m using are cool enough ..the pmx 60
take Sennheiser HD228 its a cheap and great audio
steelseries. hehehe
I still couldn’t figure out all the fuss about $100 or so headphones vs average $20-$40 headphones. I don’t listen much of the music but when I do they pretty much sound the same to me..I don’t see much differences between lets say ones costing a lot and cheaper one. Only the way they feel in your ear is what I noticed..anyhow start with cheaper version and see how it goes is what I would say..
Sennheiser...
i'm not comfortable to wear standard headphone designs so i'm stuck with BH-503
beats earphones are best
I have read posts on loads of sites for the past week.. Had a pair of soundmagic e10's.. Brilliant sound if a little uncomfortable but for 35 quid... Brilliant. Also had a pair of sennys cx300ii... Ok not brilliant but had a good fit and not bulky. But just got my girlfriend to order me some klipsch s4i for my birthday.. Hoping for soundmagic sound with a really good fit. Seems to be what people are saying and for 60 quid its the most I would pay for earphones
Sent from my awesome S3.
I have S4i and find the bass to muddy out vocals a bit. The highs are also not superb, but other than that, very enjoyable earphones. I do prefer my Shure SE215's in all aspects, though. Of you could find those for the same price, like I did, I'd expect you to be happier with the Shure.
so i hear this question all the time, for every phone. i personally use $15 sony earbuds, but if you are looking for the best and dont mind spending money....

Picked up the Monster Turbine Gold's for $140 on sale at Amazon a while back... love em!
Audio is extremely subjective. Not everyone has the same hearing, the same sound signature preferences or even budget for that matter. Headfi is a good place to get started, but in order to appreciate the sound of the headphones, words are not nearly enough You'll have to give them a listen yourself.
I own 3 headphones I use with my S3.
1st. Samsung Infuse Earphones that came with that phone when I got it back in March. Works good for me honestly.
2nd. Motorola S9-HD 1stGen. Bluetooth. Yeah they actually still work even with all my sweat in them. Sounds good but can't get good bass cause I lost my large ear cushions for them.
3rd. My Motorola S805? I believe that came with my Giro snowboarding helmet 3 years ago. Those things are also still kicking!!!
Yeah I take care of my stuff. Honestly though, clear sound is important, but holy flippin' crap I'm not spending $400 for music listening!!!
I find my s3 oem is good enough for daily use . I also have klipsch x10 which is amazing for its size the only thing bad about the klipsch is the built quality other than that the sound is superb !

Waiting for some money, then I'm getting Jays a-Jays One+. Had the ordinary One until it died, superb sound and phenomenal bass. Courtesy of my SGS and Voodoo Sound

IE800 are much, much better:
http://en-de.sennheiser.com/ie-800
They can be fitted with a cable that works 100% with Samsung Galaxy S series phones.
I have used Audeo Phonak PFE 022 and cannot recommend them: the mic is really not very good and the sound quality left me wanting compared to even Sennheiser's low end line, like mm70i.
There really aren't very many good mic-headsets that work with Galaxy S III without any additional adapter cables and w/ full inline remote controls.
I use my beats from my rezound.

Are you using any kind Portable Amplifier with your IE80?
Loving my Rock-It R50's, but it really depends what kind of music you listen to.
check out http://www.head-fi.org
Currently, Shure SE315 's. Next week I'll have VSonic GR07. However for the high-end IEM's mentioned here. What's your complete setup? Please.
SE315, Paid version of Equalizer
(fx music off) and most importantly is my fiio E6 Portable Amplifier (best $25 I've ever spent)
The IE80's, Shure 535's mentioned, please what kind of setup?
I was about to purchase the Westone 4r but the VSonic GR07 are too highly rated at half the price with the FiiO E11, It will be the music I've ever heard. But these new small portable Amplifier give us the power needed.

While I am at home, I use a pair of Audio Technica's ATH-M40fs. They sound great with the awesome beats mod. If you decide to get these, you will need a 1/4 inch to 1/8 inch adapter. It can be found at any Radioshack. Also the cable is very long since it is a pair of studio headphones so it isn't good to use while on the go.
Koss portapros are weird looking but cheap and have excellent sound (and quite a cult following)
I only listen to audiobooks and talk radio, so any old earbud for less than $25 IMO
I like my Sennheiser CX200 ear buds rather well.
Blocks out most sound, clean crisp sound and get nice and loud if I want them to.
Best of all, somewhere like the "egg" has 'em for $20 US.
Vsonic GR02 With Poweramp is best combination
Still best IEM for price tag, value for money
Soundmagic e10's, they sound great and are a great value at $35 on Amazon. I bought them as back ups as they were pretty cheap and the reviews were great. They have replaced my s4's and a pair of Sony iem's I paid about a 100 bucks for lol.
