First things first. We do NOT yet have permission from our source to release the full build.
We do have permission to post screenshots and our findings. We have received tentative permission to release the TAR and One-Clicks in the coming days. We DO NOT have a specific date or time as of yet.
If and when we do receive permission to release the full build it will be posted here.
In the meantime we will try to test everything we can possibly think of and post the results here. We'll update as we find more.
Now would also be a good time to introduce you to the two newest members of the Team Sextape machine. Traylunch and MohoGalore will be helping us going forward with testing. This will be their first build testing and they will be posting their findings in this thread. We appreciate all the offers for help and hope to take some of you up on the offers in the future! We'll keep you updated as we find more opportunities.
Please feel free to ask questions! We'll answer all that we can (except for the, "Can you sneak me a copy early" question ).
Proceed to Post 2 for findings and Post 3 for screenshots.
Enjoy!

Findings
All Internal Storage still wipes upon flash.
Still only JB modems are compatible.
Sync option is back in Toggles.
Samsung KB seems to be more accurate.
Several Bluetooth devices are compatible.
Hotspot functions same as previous JB leaks.
Rapid GPS locks.
Talkback works!
So far battery drain from FL04 appears to be eliminated.
More to come!
Reserved for Screenshots.
Has bluetooth been fixed on fl16? For some people including myself that is very important... I now this are test builds but at the same time this could very well our next official update. If anybody can test this it would be deeply appreciated.

I had one situation when I was re-installing apps where it said "system has been given Superuser permissions" several times and then did a warm boot. Also had another time where hung and had to restart by holding power for 5 seconds. Battery jumped down at that point - as it was at 2:30 am don't remember how much or if it really was a jump - the color changed, which is what I noticed. (Green to yellow)
Battery life beyond that seems to be on par with other JB builds.

That "system has been given Superuser permissions" issue is not specific to JB builds. Not sure what the cause is exactly. I've gotten it several times with the release ICS version as well prior to updating to FK23 and now FL04 (haven't gotten it on either of those yet).

The previous error was "shell has been given Superuser permissions" which seems to have been a combination of two issues:
1) An issue with superuser that ChainsDD fixed
2) (Possibly) the flash order that was being used for restores.
After the reboot have been unable to recreate the problem.
Can you check if the bluetooth issues are still there? FL04 had some issues with bluetooth earpieces, chipmunk sound and static noise for the other party. For me this happens with a plantronics M50.
Thanks, everyone. Cant wait to see some screenshots!!

Bluetooth - Here in a few hours I will give you the details of models/pieces and findings. Short answer is yes. But please keep in mind, BT worked for me on FK23, FL04 as well. Like I said, here in a bit, I'll give you all the details of my findings. (Need to get model numbers from my GPS and headset)
Screenies attached.. Sync is back in the toggles. Any particular screen shot you'd like to see? Or a screen cast?
Also, hotspot functions the same as the previous JB builds.
Garwynn or MoHo can you check if the talk back feature works in this build. My son diving me nuts to fix his phone cause it don't work on the 2 previous leaks. Thanks

I don't have that specific earpiece, so I can't guarantee anything, but I'll give it a shot as soon as I find mine. Static and pitch the only issues observed?

You guys do me a favor and read this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21182524&postcount=33. Then type the message I gave in it if your brave and would like to test for the team. You will get a pm [possibly with link] mid week. I don't like to release anything that is broke in anyway, but i haven't got it fixed yet; so, this is the best comprimise I could come up with [gives me two days to try].
Your decision time...

I'm suprised no takers. I feel pretty good about this one. Perhaps a YouTube moment for the old man... I don't like to lock myself into deadlines, but if you want to test, just say I want to test stipulation is.. it's unsupported until final release. I know there are things that can be improved upon as noted in OP, and I just don't need flash addicts to pop in and slow down those things getting fixed by saying "my bluetooth device worked with Virgin, but it doesn't work on this rom" or "do you think you could add American english?" It's beta; it's pretty darn good, but not yet the finished product (which I will support in this forum) So... you want to join beta testing team? It hasn't gone out; it goes out in say another 30 mins; at which time, I will update the OP with beta testing closed.
Guesstimation on release time... probably two weeks. Got to tweak the aforementioned things, add Team MarvelUS branding, etc. Could be more, could be less.

8. Enjoy while resisting the urge to Slap yo' mamma!
As I do not have this device, I did send it out to testers and pretty sure all the kinks are worked out. If there are any I missed please be kind and respectful when reporting. Please dont report wether you dont like this rom and are going to another. This is not a competition, all roms are great in their own way..
Okay. Know issues.
*Random reboots. Temp fix is to bump min CPU up one step to 432
needs to be reset every boot. Set on boot not consistent.
* if a random reboot happens while on call.
You lose phone audio. Simply reflash build with out factory data reset will bring it back.
*MMS quick reply setting. If you use setting to wake and unlock when a message is received get a reply quickly. Screen will time out back to lock screen soon.
*Camera. Panoramic mode crashes. Don't use it.
*Aspire some times it seems widgets dissapear from the home screens. Unpredictable. Just replace them when you realize they won't return on their own.
Do Not Complain About these things or post about them. We know these things. If you do feel it necessary to post on these issues please also include a perm fix along with it.
Finding issues not listed here PLEASE include steps to recreate the problem, and a log cat if available.
Please do not post "music won't play"
This helps no one and pisses me off. Savvy?
Also I would like to have a video review on you tube if someone here can do that kind of thing. In depth review a plus
If you would like to make said video please contact me and I will tell you what items/screens I would like to have highlighted.
Thank you and enjoy our work.

if mute bug is fixed I'm flashing!
thanks for this!
I flashed the modem.bin va pc odin and then updated prl and profile and then tested a call and the other side could hear me the entire time. Then tested the call via speaker and waited for screen to timeout and the other party could still hear me. I made sure my proximity during calls setting was on and my screen timeout was set to 30 seconds.
This was only flashing the modem.bin and not the kernel, may flash the kernel next but I kinda wanna wait for the tar file.
I did notice that with this new modem I am getting less bars at my desk.
The backwards compatibility with fk09 is a good sign for us I think.

ok so when flashing it says fk09 modem and kernel?
This may be a stupid question but how do you flash the zimage file in odin or even in mobile odin? When I look for that file using the PDA slot nothing shows up like the modem.bin did in the phone slot.
I have only ever flashed tar files, sorry for the newbish question.

I ran some more speed tests and my 4G was actually pretty good, the problem I am seeing is my signal bars dropping often and when on a call it was a little fuzzy at times. 3G speed test was pretty bad but I forgot to try it in this spot before I updated the modem.
Edit: And now I am roaming at my desk when I wasn't on FK09.

Just an FYI - FK23 modem/kernel are optimized for FK23. It works with FK09 but just as FK09 was optimized for FK09 it may not work 100% with other builds.

I'm interested in what answers you might get on this. The only way I know to flash a kernel bin file is through adb shell, which you need the device to be rooted prior. Hadn't really looked into any other options since it's a rarity for me. :edit: or you could take a look at the flash able zip and look in the script to see the calls.

ok well I have to agree signal seems a bit better and made 2 10min phone calls with no mute bug added a contact pc and froze so......i do agree that until we get full leak all problems may not be solved and we will probrobly not see all the optimization that were included with package. So can you tell us if the FK09 ROM with the FK23 radio is acting worse that when it's all FK23 is all installed?
I know on my phone that one ROM and kernel with one other radio works great for me on speed and signal, but if I keep the radio the same as the ROM I am on then my signal sucks and my speed suffers and battery dies faster. But I don't want to talk batteries right now as I am having issues that are different than this.

Down slightly on the FK23 modem/kernel, FK09 ROM combo. Signal down again to 42%.
Checking data as time allows.

Quickest and easiest i have found to make changes is to keep a copy of the one click el26 kernel flash before phone starts to boot hold down vol up and power to go into recovery then flash the modem kernel and other zips that needed to be flashed reboot.
If I have helped in any way dont forget to say thanks and most important dont forget the developers.

Phone crashing while reciving a call on Miui? follow these instrucitons.
Ether make sure to be on stock zvb(cfx has been reported to work for this too), or flash stock make sure signal/data are working properly.
only after this you may flash miui, then phone will work as it does in cm10.1

Having issues with getting data to work?
Go to network settings, then access points , choose,
APN0 EHRPD ota
then go to network type selection and chose automatic
next go back to settings, and enable airplane mode
wait a couple of seconds, and disable airplaine mode,
then wait a few seconds and data should enable it self.
For lte you can try and do the above step but choose
LTE EHRPD Internet, then dial *#*#4636#*#* and , go to preferred network, and chooce lte/gsm/cdma

Thanks for your contribution! It's good to see more ROMs popping up. Especially MIUI.
Also, it looks like it has all the AOSP based issues. But I noticed you didn't mention anything about the camera. Does auto-focus work on this ROM?

Looks really nice!! Great work! I'll check it out tonight....:good:
ok reciving calls is working perfectly, with data wiped. i think its the gapps i linked that messup the phone app.
Thanks for this! Waiting for gps fix and media scanner fix before making it my daily driver.

Right after it boots. Going to try it without the gapps. See what happens

Make sure you wipe everything, flash the ROM and then boot into it and do the miui setup, reboot into recovery and flash gapps and do the Google setup.

Data never connected for me. I did as the op said multiple times. Good rom though.
Edit: Got data working but couldn't get lte. Of course the call bug. And I also got the settings bug in the beginning. Besides that this baby runs smooth! Great work!!

Going to flash this first chance I get an working on hooking up the kernel on AOKP for us... Itching like crazy to try thus love some miui
ROM works pretty good for me other than a few things that maybe are normal for miui but I'm not aware of because of my first time using it. I realized just now that the browser wouldn't go into landscape mode while typing this. Also I can't seem to get the camera to focus consistently. It seems like it works every once in a while but it could have just been working on first use due to resetting a couple of times. I didn't pay close enough attention. Also, not an issue but more of a question, how do I enable root access? Faster GPS requires root but I don't know how to enable it. Thanks for the ROM and any info. Loving it so far!
Edit... I found the root access.
The system ui error , is related to the gapps i linked, i found better ones for miui to be more specific, http://en.miui.com/thread-2840-1-1.html, flash there instead.
Also i found a mayor bug sadly this will make this rom pretty useless for now, when you get data to work, everytime you receive a phone call , phonewill crash and you wont be able to pick up the call. il leave the rom online for who ever whants to try it, but this bug just ruins everything, and i did not notice it untill today, few hours after relesing it.
Great to see you developing here Magic! I was just about to download when I read your last comment. Dang it I was stoked! Oh well, I'll wait because I know you will figure it out... thanks for taking on this ROM and we appreciate what you are doing! If I can help in any way let me know!:good:

sure will, iv probably figured out why that bug is happening, you see when you are in 3g, sprint cant have voice+data(on 3g only, lte does allow this) on when you recive a call, so the modem is supposed to turn of data and recive the call, but instead what miui does is ignore that and leave it on, thats why phone is crashing mostlikely, il have to talk with synergy or shellnit2 so they can help me out.
so yea i worked on miui today, and still cant get ril to works properly, even though iv implemented most of the smali from our cm10.1 telephony-common.jar to miuis's one. im really running out of ideas, tomorrow il probably try and decompile the phone apk see what i can do there. as always stay tunned.
Hey guys,
I know, there is already a Thread for the FXP-Version, but im always using the newest CM11 nightly and just want a thead where other people - using the same version - can talk about the current status and bugs they have spotted. Also I think its usefull for others who may want to flash CM on their phone.
Currently (Nightly 11.12.2013) are a bit annoying for me:
1. Bug: no sound through headphones (without a mic!) during a call [this bug was already present in cm10.2 and still exist :/]
2. Bug: while using a headphone, the ringtone is still coming out the speaker instead in the headphone (really annoying if you are in a metro or something)

Maybe it was just the restart that fixed it ]
[@]Mods: Im not sure if this is the right place for the thead. If not please move it to General or what ever the right place is. Thanks!
I have been using the nightlies for that passed couple days as well.
I am also using the 12/12/2013 nightly 4.4.2
The problem is i never use headphones!
I stream audio to my bluetooth device that i have to wear for work, so i dont know if i have the same bugs.
I will check when i get home with some earbuds and see if i have the same issues.
Oh and this should probably be in the "General" or the "Q&A" sections, but thats for the mods to decided
gameloft games not work
on my phone xperia zl C6503 (12.12/2013 4.4.2 nightly - odin) not work gameloft games
Strange! On My Mobil, Need for Speed Most Wanted, and MC4 works without any Problems!
Sound is definitely weird. Music with headphones has a sputtering noise in the background. Very annoying.
oh,I use ART,so many apps don't work
I have issues with my gallery freezing and I have to do a hard reboot with the yellow button. Such a pain in the ass when u have an otterbox! Lol. Just updated to the 12/14 build and haven't tried yet. But the last few nightlies had this issue.

Hmm, which Apps? All the Apps I used in the past with cm10.2 are still working with cm11 and ART.

Hmm, I stoped to think that we will get any fix soon. PMs are ignored getting ignored by the devs and the amount of reported issues without a reaction/comment on freexperia is just raising every day :/
Our phone isn't popular enough to have a handful of Dev's constantly contributing new stuff.
It is frustrating.
But at the same time you gotta remember that these "Devs" are just people tinkering around with their device in their spare time.
Hell, lots of devs develope for phones they don't even own, and they do it FOR FREE!!!!
If every person who downloaded a ROM had to pay 1$ for each one, TRUST ME, there would be a TON of high quality material for EVERY device.
I love AOSP, because its AOSFREE!!
But id be willing to drop a few bucks knowing i would be getting a top shelf experience.
I know that our Phone isnt that popular but the same Sound Bugs also apear on the xperia z.
Is there anyone having problems to stream music through bluetooth? The phone works fine for phone calls, however, it seems music doesn't want to work.
I'm running CM11 12152013 nightly.
Thanks!

Guys you gotta go into the diagnostic menu on the phone and change the radio preference to LTE. Its on WCDMA Preferred by default. You can access the menus by dialing *#*#info#*#*. It will take you to the menu you see in screenshot 1. Then select "Phone Information." Scroll down until you see "Set preferred network type." Tap on "WCDMA" and change it to what you want. Then LTE will work just fine
