[Q] Problem on HBOOT screen - HTC Wildfire S

Hey guys, I have an HTC Wildfire S, and from what I can tell it is CDMA (does not have a SIM card), and apparently it goes by other names as well....marvelc, A510c, PG762. I managed to unlock it, root it, and s-off it, thanks to all the fantastic help here on XDA.
I am ultimately trying to get it so that I can try out different ROM's and such, so I wanted to install ClockworkMod Recovery on it as well. This is where the problem lays.
In the process of "playing" with the phone, I believe I screwed it up somehow....Apparently, in order to install ClockWorkMod Recovery, one of the steps is to press Vol-Down and Power at the same time, it WILL give the screen that says:
***UNLOCKED***
MARVELC PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.10.0001
MICROP-0354
RADIO-0.94.00.1226
Apr 17 2012, 18:21:30 etc.
But underneath, where it says:
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
SIMLOCK
IMAGE CRC
When I plug-in tha usb cable to pc and it SHOULD say "HBOOT USB PLUG".... it does not.
I *should* be able to Vol-Down to RECOVERY and install ClockWorkMod Recovery that way, no? The problem is, I ***CANNOT*** Vol-Down, Vol-Up, Power, or anything...the phone takes over at this point, and the next thing I see is:
***UNLOCKED***

RADIO-0.94.00.1226

HBOOT
Parsing... [PG76DIAG.nbh.]
[1] MFG DIAG
Update is in progress...
Jumping to DIAG...
The phone flashes a few times and then "Get SW Version"...etc....
In order to use the phone again at all, I need to pull battery out and re-insert, and start normally.
I need to say, OTHER THAN THIS, the phone *does* seem to work normally....
What can I do to fix this? Is it a matter of resetting the hboot? Is this possible? Please help, I have no idea what to do....
Also, if someone can PLEASE give me a detailed step-by-step instruction on how to install ClockWorkMod Recovery, as well as CyanogenMod, I would be eternally grateful. Thank you in advance.
I have also made a video of me attempting to boot the phone and what I just described....but being as I am a noob here, they won't let me post it....msg me and I can PM you the link
PS. I should tell you guys I have tried this with fastboot on as well as off...same results.
Also, I found similar HBOOT problems in the threads, but they were not HTC-Wildfire-S, CDMA-marvelc-A510c-PG762 specific.

Time to feel silly you have left the pg76diag.nbh after you s-offed pal. The bootloader will Always look for this file and others and if it finds them and they are untampered with, and have the correct cid (s*on) then it will execute them. If you are s-off it will always execute no matter what the cid/tampered state. Delete this file and any other pj76 files from your sd card then boot to hboot. The device will look for these pj76 type files and if it finds none it will give you control of the volume buttons and activate the USB plug if it is attached

[Q] Have I bricked my phone?

I was trying to run an RUU to un-root my phone (got tired of the hassle, had a lot of issue) and program said that the files were corrupt AFTER finishing the process, now I am stuck at the black screen with an HTC logo. The screen has !'s inside of triangles on all four corners.
When I try to get to recovery (power + vol down), the screen just says

I can access fastboot through a windows command prompt and runningn "fastboot devices" shows my phone's id, so the device is connecting, I just can't do anything else. Is there something I can flash to get my phone back, and if so, how exactly to I do it?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

UPDATE: Found this solution that allowed me to run the RUU without any errors.
I ended up using RUU_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.29.651.5_Radio_2.15.00.09.01_NV_1.77_CNV_release_150224_signed.exe
I'll gladly mirror it if anyone needs a copy and can't find it.

I'm guessing you used unrevoked forever? Try installing amon_ra using the link in my sig and flashing the S=ON tool from them, after that you should be able to use the RUU tool to completely unroot your phone.
For fastboot to work you need to be using the eng bootloader, ver 0.76
Thanks!
Thanks for the help, mate. I actually ended up using this solution to get the RUU to work without an error 110, so I'm at least back to stock now.

[Q] stuck in hboot

i tried doing a factory reset then I was reading a guide on a similar site about unrooting my phone and downloaded a file called pg32img.zip and put it on my sd card. I booted into hboot on my phone and the only things i can do are reboot/power off and use bootloader which automatically goes to trying to flash the file i put on there but it gives me the error "main version is older" everytime, and kicks me out to the main menu giving me the same options. I cant do anything besides try to reflash the thing or reboot my phone. At the top of the hboot it says "security warning" if thats any help.
tried doing adb devices while my phone was plugged in and it said no devices found.
screen looks like this

First step is to delete the PG32IMG.zip file off of the SD card. If you leave it on, HBOOT will try to install it every time you boot into HBOOT.
The security warning that is now showing indicates that the PG32IMG.zip you tried to flash was an older version that you currently have on your DInc2.
The adb.exe command will only work when the phone is booted normally or booted into recovery mode. It is expected behavior for adb not to work when you are booted into HBOOT mode.

[Q] How to rescue stuck HTC Desire

I have an old HTC Desire, which I am trying to resurrect.
Attempting to boot it normally shows the HTC logo for a while, followed by 7 beeps, a reboot, and repeat.
Vol down + power gives

with the usual HBOOT menu - FASTBOOT, RECOVERY, CLEAR STORAGE, SIMLOCK.
Trying recovery does similar to boot, i.e.shows the HTC logo for a while, followed by 7 beeps, a reboot, and repeat.
As I understand it, I should first S-OFF it. However, all the methods I have tried do not recognise the device. If I put it into fastboot mode, and type "fastboot devices" in my PC, it is recognised. I can attempt to flash a new recovery, but I get an error "remote: signature verify fail".
I have tried revolution, and the CD method - neither recognise the device.
I tried to make a gold card, but I am stuck on the first bit, because I cannot connect to the phone with adb, only fastboot.
Revolutionary only works with phone booted, u cant flash recovery unless ur s-off or unlocked bootloader but the fact that it vibrates 7 times means hardware problem. Try flashing the 2.3gb upgrade from htcdev or find it in bortaks guide (my sig) and hope it flashes but i doubt ul be able to do anything unless u get a new motherboard.
I had the same problem. i am now on oxygen zm2 rom.

U reply to all posts i had the same problem. Care to share how u fix these problems or u just telling people u have problems? U have 10 posts now so i guess ur done?

Can i fix this??

Hi all!
First off, an elderly neighbor gave me this ancient looking phone, going by the name of HTC Buzz A3333 Wildfire in order for me to try and resurrect it back to life, lol.
I was trying to get it a nice new custom rom and root it. Somewhere down the line i guess i made some critical errors. When i try to boot it into recovery, all i get is a red triangle and an exclamation mark "!". I'm no expert but i think that indicates i still have the stock recovery (twrp or something similar) on the device but it's not running ok.
Now, how do i get about this problem?
The device's info (if you need more, just specify):
android version 2.2.1.
software number 2.22.405.1

When in hboot, what comes up is something like this: "No image or wrong image/Main version is older! Update fail! Press <POWER> to reboot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do i do? Did i BRICK the phone? I'd really love to help the old lady, she was always nice to me when i was a kid.

Easy fix pal you have tried to flash a recovery or an update by adding a file named pc49img.zip to your bootloader. This method does not work for unlocked bootloader, only security off bootloaders (s-off).
You should download a pc49img.zip of clockworkmod (cwm) recovery which available in the development section, or in the stickied thread containing all the roms and recoverys. Download version 5.0.2.0 or 5.0.2.8.
so extract that zip file into your fastboot directory (the one you used to flash the unlock_token.bin you got from htc to unlock the bootloader) and make sure you delete any pc49img.zip files from your sdcard.
Then boot into bootloader. Use the power button to select fastboot on the device and connect it via usb to the computer. Lastly you should have a file called recovery.img in your fastboot directory after extracting your downloaded cwm zip file. If not, wrong download, try another
So, open a command prompt in the fastboot folder and issue these commands.
Fastboot getvar all
(if you dont get any information back then there is a connection issue and continuing will fail)(also dont post the information here as its device sensitive )
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot reboot-bootloader
Now use your volume buttons to select recovery and hit power to select. The guides i have written to downgrade the hboot of this device can explain the new controls for the recovery so have a read at them, then install any rom of your choosing AFTER making a nandroid backup
Always nice to help out someone helping out an OAP
