Hi all
I'm on stock jb...the Asian version. I've just noticed that the kernel usage as reporter by gsam battery app is at 18%. Any reason for this?

Could do with knowing what is making the kernel work so hard.
Search for: BetterBatteryStats on XDA, install, run it, leave phone for an hour or 2 then check the "Partial" and "Kernel" wakelocks.
Then you will know whats eating the battery

You can use BetterBatteryStats for that.
System Panel has a great historical monitor feature that helps track down problematic apps.

My thoughts on the battery... I've used it like an hour and it was already down to 70%... Just surfing and stuff like that.. So I think the battery sucks just as much as a jailbroken iPhone 4 with Bluetooth and Wifi enabled

Oh! So a rom is like... The actual android OS just with your customized tweaks and addons preinstalled?
Well that makes sense
Is it easy to install a rom without erasing all your current data?
Sorry for asking here, just didn't want to make a new thread

First and for all, thanks for making this thread. I was having the same idea earlier.
Usually when something gets released the internet is flooded with the bad and the good experiences barely get the time of day.
I also love my grey one x. Its a monster and the colour looks tough.
The screen is absolutely beautiful and my unit does not have any glitches worth mentioning.

You haven't had the firmware update yet, nor a chance to let the battery reach its potential.

HI guys,
since agot my beast sgn2 areally always face a battery drainin' wakelock called battery monitor and screwed to get rid or just even reduce its waketime so any suggestions???
thanx in advance
Most likely its one of the Battery widgets you are using which is causing the lock to read the battery info very aggressively.
Best is to 'Disable' such apps/widgets from Applications menu and see which one is causing it

Cool down guys. We are having this problem and want to find a way to resolve it. Kiddish attitude won't help.
Thank you.
PS: Okay, I was searching the BBS topic for battery-monitor issue and finally there is NO clear cut answer what's causing this issue! Now I am leaning more towards BBS itself for this issue. Still I will wait for the reply from the dev himself.
huhuhuh it's ok ........

i saw ur post in the BBS topic and u have many wakelocks beside battery monitor and i asked the dev before u did and he told me that he need a dump file to identify the cause of this wakelock
concernin' ur post u've maps wakelocks and bad network coverage causin' alot of these wakelocks .....
thanx bro for ur interaction
Hmm. I need to upload a damn dump then.
And bad coverage? No. You can see the network signal bar is green always, don't have a bad coverage over here. Maybe FD causing something! And that Map wakelock is due to location history was enabled, maybe!
i also feel this weeklock is itself generated by BBS. nothing to worry
