HI guys,
since agot my beast sgn2 areally always face a battery drainin' wakelock called battery monitor and screwed to get rid or just even reduce its waketime so any suggestions???
thanx in advance
Most likely its one of the Battery widgets you are using which is causing the lock to read the battery info very aggressively.
Best is to 'Disable' such apps/widgets from Applications menu and see which one is causing it

Cool down guys. We are having this problem and want to find a way to resolve it. Kiddish attitude won't help.
Thank you.
PS: Okay, I was searching the BBS topic for battery-monitor issue and finally there is NO clear cut answer what's causing this issue! Now I am leaning more towards BBS itself for this issue. Still I will wait for the reply from the dev himself.
huhuhuh it's ok ........

i saw ur post in the BBS topic and u have many wakelocks beside battery monitor and i asked the dev before u did and he told me that he need a dump file to identify the cause of this wakelock
concernin' ur post u've maps wakelocks and bad network coverage causin' alot of these wakelocks .....
thanx bro for ur interaction
Hmm. I need to upload a damn dump then.
And bad coverage? No. You can see the network signal bar is green always, don't have a bad coverage over here. Maybe FD causing something! And that Map wakelock is due to location history was enabled, maybe!
i also feel this weeklock is itself generated by BBS. nothing to worry

Maybe no one here knows the answer? Anyway, i think you should seek help from BBS thread. The experts there might be able to help you out.

I'm on stock jb...the Asian version. I've just noticed that the kernel usage as reporter by gsam battery app is at 18%. Any reason for this?

Could do with knowing what is making the kernel work so hard.
Search for: BetterBatteryStats on XDA, install, run it, leave phone for an hour or 2 then check the "Partial" and "Kernel" wakelocks.
Then you will know whats eating the battery

Its only a radio update. I don't see how it could possibly be anything bad.

Maybe your phone and experience is a reflection of you...or the phone gods spitting some negative Karma on you!
For me the updated radio has improved my signal and therefore my battery life ( less searching for better signal i think )...
I also know of many others that share my experience as well...

Ok, so this title and post say so much without saying anything really. Contrary to what many people think, XDA is NOT a sounding board. Sure we have rants and we have times where things don't go our way.
You know what, THAT IS LIFE!!! Deal with it and move on.
Posting a rant like this is not the end of the world. What really sucks about it is that there is no further information about WHY the update sucks. Maybe if more thought was put into why it sucks, then maybe more thought would have been put into this thread and why it was created.
And now for RANTS, this one is Ovaaahhhh!!!!!
ps. The latest radio is good for some, but not all. I have been using it since the day after it came out and my data has actually been worse. Best modem for me is LI7. Oh wait!!! There is a thread for that.

You're missing several "somethings". How did you find the answer last time?
maybe i meant to say is there an su.zip or superuser.apk for it...
it's up to you if you want to answer it or keep being anything but helpful. either way, i'll find my answer sooner or later. i know it's a little hard to believe but not everyone eats, sleeps and breathes android dude. the last thing i loaded on my phone was the 4.0.2 OTA update. it's definitely been a while so i really don't remember where i looked.
So I downloaded the factory image and used the flash-all.sh script as instructed by Google. I was running a custom-build 4.2.2 that had some issues, plus I wanted the new radios. Everything worked fine and dandy as expected, but just giving everyone a heads up: upon first boot, when I was setting up my WiFi and inputting my G-Mail credentials, I heard some low-faint music coming from my ear piece. Turning the volume up, I could tell that the phone had auto-dialed that Verizon "activate" number, I guess to refresh what it needed to refresh. It took all of 20-30 seconds and was finished before I was done with the setup. I was worried because I remember people saying not to do this with an LTE device, but it seems to be OK.
This is the first time I can remember or noticed the phone doing this upon returning to a stock state. Don't know if it's new behavior or what.

What battery issues are you referring to? The battery life will be determined by your use. If you have abnormally bad battery life it could be an app with a wake lock or you could just have a bad battery.
