I decided to give it a shot and installed the LG-F180S Variant
on my Bell E973.. I haven't played much with it. I took a few
screenshots and did a system dump . I installed all 3 and
dumped the system of S and L. Atm there is no root.

So, is there any info about these roms?

Thats the leaked 4.1.2 rom
With reference to testers no differences are noted
Seems zero boost on performance
Main change visually noted is the weather widget

Basically just download the kdz from above and:
2) Make sure you have LG United Drivers already installed, otherwise download from below

3) Download LG KDZ Updater

5) Put your Optimus G into Download Mode by switching it off, attaching the usb cable to the phone, holding both the up and down volume buttons at the same time and lastly inserting the usb cable into the computer; wait for the drivers to finish loading if doing it for the first time.
6) Unzip the downloaded updater zip file and run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe. Use the settings below
Type: 3GQCT
Phone Mode: CS_Emergency
KDZ file: navigate to the folder which you have saved the downloaded KDZ from the step (1)
Click Launch Software Update and wait for the flash process to finish
7) Your phone will restart itself when IParam = 90 is displayed and proceed slower until you see IParam=1 again (which signals the end of flash, you can safely exit the program then and remove the cable from the phone). If phone boots up normally, congrats, skip the steps below and proceed to use the phone as per normal.

Also you need to wipe /data. If you are unlocked you need to relock. After you flash it please hop on irc (freenode #lg-optimus-g), we'd like you to pull some images (boot, system)!

From the looks of all the screenshots I notice that none of them have a signal for phone/data....is it because of different network bands used in Korea?

Can someone pull the recovery partition from a device running the leak? We would like to test if the 3.4 kernel will run on a stock phone without any of the other firmware flashed to it.

Thanks but the dump is a little to small. I downloaded it and it seems to be corrupt. I think it needs to be around 700mb-800mb

[HELP] tot file for F180K for lgnpst

Hi everyone,
I really need your help, I need a tot file for F180K so that I could return to the official stock version.
So dump of me, I flashed KDZ to convert it to E975 but i don't get a network signal anymore. I flashed back to korean rom, f180k20g (jb version) but to no avail, still the same. If someone kindhearted would generously provide a tot file for this device, I would greatly appreciate it.

But I have a copy of F180K10H_00 that suit you.
But a question. Did you try factory hard reset and wipe? Did you flash the right baseband?

Yes i tried factory hard reset only. I don't know how to wipe. I already tried F180K20G firmware but it is still not working. I haven't flashed any baseband because there is no available baseband img file yet for F180K. I already tried to flash anything from E97510a philippines or 10b HK version but still not working. I hope someone can provide a tot file so that we can boot back from scratch.
EDIT:
The only thing that I regretted is that I didn't back up the efs partition before I flash. If only I have learned about the freegee stuff earlier.

Hi I just found the baseband for all F180 models in a Vietnamese website, there is a file .bat to execute for all models.

2: USB debugging actived

Yeah I tried it already but it's not working. Probably I need to erase everything first, CACHE and SYSTEM. How do I get to fastboot mode on the phone? Pressing Volume down + power only brings me to Factory Reset Mode.

Do an Factory Reset, it's goog for clean your firmware, so after root again your phone and following the steps I indicates

Yes bro, I think I need the ICS kdz first so that I can unlock my bootloader using the freegee. I can't unlock it using the freegee-beta for JB. I already tried the adb reboot recovery, factory reset, still nothing. Appreciate it bro if you can upload it.

I just convert my F180K to E975 EU , rooted the phone and flash the baseband , all is OK :good:

benseoul, did you try LTE baseband? Can enyone call to you? I have Korean JB and when I,m logged to LTE, some calls to me are dropped.
Is WCDMA 900 baseband enabled? (don't know is it possible...)

currently on stock 4.1.2 bell e973 model
just rooted the phone cant seem to find the next step after rooting am i installing a custom recovery or just simply going to flash a custom or what just need some direction or a link to a thread to go next. kind of confused since there are soo many variants of the optimus g.

install FreeGee from PlayStore to unlock bootloader.
then you can install TWRP/CWM and flash roms

I have installed cwm touch and everything went well after installing free gee thank you very much how can I now install custom.roms as in just download place go in recovery and then flash from and gapps and that it?
How do i get in to recovery and how do I check if bootloader and everything is unlocked and recovery installed?

Turn off phone. Press vol up+power.You will enter fastboot mode. Then press 2 times volume down and after that, press power. Voila, your phone will reboot in recovery mode.
OR you could install quickboot app from market and you will have advanced reboot menu.
Of course,there are many apps to do this,but quickboot is the most simple and it's free.
Rom toolbox,rom manager, titatium backup and so much more can do the same ....

One question,how did you unlocked the bootloader without freegee?we are not talking about nerwork/simlock. We are talking about bootloader.do you even know what is the bootloader and why is it locked?i see you ask alot of chaotic questions my friend and i advise you to stop.
Please start doing some reading on how an android device works,especially the G.then read about tweaking possibilities and read multiple times.make sure understand what you are reading amd only then you can attempt to try something.

I have F180L converted to E975 .. So I used KDZ's and other way to root device and replace baseband etc..
And now I want to try this ''so much ''adored'' ROM called CyanogenMod 10.1 ..
So now u know WHY I am asking ALL THIS !
Will be wery happy if I 'll get some support here ..
I haven't found here NOT EVEN ONE person only ignorants which are lazy to explain how to..
So I ALWAYS get it done BY MY SELF .. Useless. really ..

Make back up through recovery first? Or other way to back up instead something goes wrong and need to go stock

E973 is the same as E975 ..

no it's not the same. why do you think they have another number? it's fun, or does any changes exists between 973 and 975?

Hey guys, i want to unlock with free gee but i'm a little nervous. Has anyone used this on 4.12? I get a warning about there being a chance of a bricking if your running JB. By the way, I'm rooted and I have an update pending, that's why i wanna install a recovery. Will i have any issues if I update? Besides losing root, i can only assume.

1.my answer was for eithos,who is very chaotic.
2. E973 has 8 or 13mpx camera?
3.there is no risc in bricking it.the dev placed that warning to be sure you know what you are doing.it's the same warning you get on op of rom thread.the devs are not responsable if anything goes wrong.no one is forcing you to do anything.
Conclusion,freegee is safe and it's working on jb without problem

the diff. are only in lte bands.. E973 is for north america and E975 released for europe and azia the rest is same..

do you mind linking me to the thread you used to root your phone. Just picked up my optimus g yesterday and it seems most methods only work for ICS and not JB.

so i just bought an lg g4 device in georgia (not the state the country) and the reseller told me that it is the korean version i have been reading the thread for rooting lg g4s and i couldn't find the file for my device which my device is LG-H815P then i also read that you can flash the existing file the h815 without the p and it will work fine hoewer there are multiple files for thhis model ex:german,european and etc
soo which one do i flash?

i don't know if you can root the device with android 6.0 hoewer i know for a certain that you can root it without unlocking the bootloader

Nope not at all. I delete most stock apps as they are useless for me, (LG Backup, Airdrive, etc) No app crashes. Even installed Xposed. And i don't have an unlocked bootloader as my phone is not compatible to be unlocked hopefully soon though

Hi People ! Just Bought a LG G4 Dual In India ! I had a LG G2 a couple of years back and it was very easy to root it ! Now I Am Finding it Difficult to Root this Device as there is alot of confusion between dual n normal LG G4 ! The basic gist of it is:
1. Create an image of your system partition
2. Modify the image using a linux PC to add root
3. Write the modified image to your system partition
Or:
1. Download a system image someone else has already made
2. Write it to your system partiton
The modified image works without a bootloader unlock because the kernel itself isn't being modified.

Look a the specific model you have.
The basic gist of it is:
1. Create an image of your system partition
2. Modify the image using a linux PC to add root
3. Write the modified image to your system partition
Or:
1. Download a system image someone else has already made
2. Write it to your system partiton
The modified image works without a bootloader unlock because the kernel itself isn't being modified.

Also do you know how to dump and modify the system image or can you link a tutorial that sound better than flashing an already modified image

I have the Aussie Version too, I'm super keen to try and root it this arvo, is it fairly straight forward?

Unfortunatley as of now you can only root android 6 by unlocking the bootloader and that is not possible on your phone

I also have the LG G4 H815K, Just want to confirm which commands and Root files you downloaded, I'm currently downloading the International H815 10c Version and plan on using the international commands. (International H815 10c Version (NOT H815T, H815TR, H815P, etc - you will lose internationalization and possibly features)
Is that what you did?

LG G7 Sprint Unlock?

I recently bought a sprint LG G7 for a really good deal since it was cracked from the back corner. I've been searching around it seems no one is able to unlock it yet.
I was wondering, could I unlock it if I flash the LMG-710EM kdz file from the European unlocked G7?
If not anyone know about how long it takes until someone finds a way to unlock it? It's just sitting there.

I don't think you can flash it if it's still locked and it's still not sure if other versions of the firmware would work on other models since the "EM" one is the only ones that's unlockable ( as far as I know).

I just have the phone sitting there. Waiting for someone to be able to unlock it.

I already tried to flash AWM (canadian rom) and EM rom. I am getting an error 0x81000302, Please use latest dll. Laf protocol version is not match. DLL = 115746384, device = 149688352.
So do you have any news about flashing or unlocking sprint LG G7?

There is a guy over at the LG v20 section that has cracked the laf partition stuff for that device, maybe he could possibly be of some assistance to this matter at least the knowledge behind it would be great. His name is @runningnak3d I do believe

After selecting dl repartition and flashing. You can find awm rom at lg firmwares com. Im not able to post a link now, sorry.

I believe you need dll version v40 if it even exist you can try the v30 dll just replace the application and the model folder under your os/program files 86 /lg electronics /lgup something like that.

Have you tried this? I dont think it will work because to cross flash the firmware you need to use dl partition if you use refurbish then it will throw an error?
Also in there comments someone said they got an error and phone brick so doesnt work for cross flashing only if its the same model number.

Is there any update on this?
Isn't it's possible to convert it on US version like it was done on V30?
