Sorry for the newbi like question but are the at&t galaxy s2 sgh-i777 ROMs compatible with our t989? Just wondering because I like a few ROMs that were created for that phone like the shostock ROM with the note 2 features. If not is there a way that one could be ported?
I mean if you want to brick your phone then go ahead, but i advise you to not
btw nothing is impossible so it might be possible to port those roms but they are specifically built for those devices so you answer is no

I have a Tmobile Note 2 and I was wondering is this possible? is so is it easy? I have absolutely no dev skills but when I had the att gs2 there was a hellraising tool for porting over roms from the i9100, by pretty much just switching the modem and kernel.
I am sorry if my post was in anyway ignorant i'm just curious lol
Yes it is possible (though not entirely easy). The process would be similar to that described in this thread.
I've been reading alot...and... well I'm not sure. I returned my Nexus 4, for various reasons. So I am looking at either the GNII (Note 2), or the GS3.
I am on AT&T btw.
I am mainly wanting a good CM-AOKP rom that will give me stock goodness with all the extra lovely settings. I'd rather not have anything experimental.
Someone told me this phone was just recently unlocked? If he was correct? So am I to assume there are no good daily driver roms?
Can people for god sake stop posting questions in random sections and post in Q&A section?
to be nice an answer your question no one can answer that what fits someone else wont fit you its a trial and error thing, just keep try them until you find the one best suited for you...
Are you looking to buy an at&t version? If yes then this is not the right forum. This is for international GN III. Recently unlocked? You mean verizon GN III bootloaders? If yes then please read more before buying
what? the last part makes no sense at all. and wrong section bro

I'm still on stock and don't intend to switch until something really interesting comes along. has been treating me great and it's fast without all the trouble of custom roms.
Can I install roms listed in this forum on my Verizon note 2? I know this is a dumb question and probably answered somewhere. Sorry...
Sure you can... As long as the ROM developer has made it clear that it can actually work with a Verizon Note II.
You'll be risking your phone if you flash a ROM whose developer has not specifically mentioned that it can function properly on your phone.
Besides, I'm fairly certain there are quite a few ROMs out there compatible with Verizon, such as: Jedi X, Eclipse & Jelly Beans to name a few. Happy flashing', you apologetic bastrad, you...
I have a dream that one day I will have a signature... However, today is not that day...
Thanks. I just asked because I wanted to try something other than Jedi, jelly beans and clean Rom . For some reason aosp roms won't load on my phone. When I flash them my boot screen goes glitch y and stops loading.

There doesn't seem to be more than one or two roms for the verizon n2 so I have to ask a somewhat silly question- is there a way to port or use roms posted here? I came from the S3 and there are tons there but was shocked to find low support for the n2 until I saw the many roms in this forum. Of course it was impossible to mix carriers on the S3, so are these roms strictly for the ww version or what?
Now since I've decided to root my Samsung GS3 (my first android phone), I have no idea which rom would be the best.
I need some suggestions and maybe the pros and cons?
REQUIREMENTS:
- Multi-window feature
- Much better battery life
- Not pure android, cause I'm getting used to TouchWiz
Thanks for any comments
Samsung Galaxy S3 (I747m-Rogers, unrooted)
look through the android development section. that's where you'll find what you're looking for. check out this link and follow its steps to safely and smoothly get yourself rooted, backed up and blazing away on a custom ROM. stay here in the i747 and i747m section. any other software will do permanent damage to your device. Cheers and good luck
I agree with xBeerdroiDx. The best thing is to just look around. Some of the ROMS may have what you want while others may not. Also remember that just because it might work great on my phone does not mean it will on yours (and vice versa). Play around until you find one you like.
And be careful on which ROM to flash. Flashing an international version ROM will brick your device.
