hi guys. i have a problem with Cyanogenmod 9 Boot Animation.
every time i installed it on my Galaxy Gio. the boot animation don't load.
i tried formats, wipes and ways. but no help.
i using cm9 beta 9 now. and tnx for your attention.
in Stock and CM 7.2 boot animations works fine.
if i posted in bad place. i'm sorry.
If you are talking about GalaxyICS remember to flash their special version of ClockworkMod, I've forgotten to do that before and it caused me hours of buggery. All fine with it though.

Please give me a solution. the bad things is when ROM is loaded it don't going to lock screen. page goes blank and i must do Power Off and On to see Lock screen.
Wipe data/system/cache
Install cm9
Again wipe all
Reboot and go into the rom
Use a root explorer and search in media folder (i think its there) the bootanimation.zip file
If its there i think there its an option in settings that disabled bootanimation
If dont work, sorry i dont know what is going on :/
Ps. Sorry for my bad english

hi. i tried all and no help. but thank you. i can't undrestand the source of problem!
Only reason I want to do this is to get rid of the T-Mobile bloatware. I assume the T989D has pure samsung's stock touchwiz without the bloatware, correct?
Yes you can do this but not with ODIN (dont try it it will fail at the radio). Find a stock cwm flashable rom and you are good to go!

I am an Indonesian. Bandung to be precise.
Always full wipe if you're installing an AOSP-based ROM from a stock firmware. If you're just moving between AOSP ROMs, some wipes are not needed (such as /data)

Nope... not needed when moving between AOSP ROMs.. do it though if you experience glitch and apps forced closes. It is optional.

Just download RR latest build and RR gapps and put them in external sd. Now go to cwm and do a full wipe and flash both RR ROM and RR gapps. reboot. You're good to go.??

Before flashing rom and gapps. You have to wipe data and while cache partition and go to advanced and wipe dalvik cache.

Yes. But you'd need to figure out how to place the file into eRecovery. You may alternatively place the file to your SD card and use the original firmware too to do a "local update"
Anyone knows some free download site to get this rom?
Thanks in advance.
um, u can just use the link provided in the OP...?

It says the file is too big, and I need a "premium account" to download.
Have you been able to download without a "premium account"?
Thanks.
huh, interesting! just tried myself and got the same message. @thomascook , could u possibly provide another mirror?

thx buddy, much appreciated

And how to flash it ? There's is no local update in menu now ...
Отправлено с моего GT-I9515 через Tapatalk
unpack the zip and flash the .img files via fastboot. either that or use the italian knife tool in the android development section
And what about upgrade through recovery?
Отправлено с моего GT-I9515 через Tapatalk
well the newer versions of TWRP are able to flash .img files so it could potentially work as well
I mean stock recovery
Отправлено с моего GT-I9515 через Tapatalk
no idea, never use stock recovery
No gsm firmware download link??
um, in the OP....?
