I have a question about the notification bubbles that pop up on the lock screen for missed calls and texts.
When I first got my device, it updated to 4.1.1 and the notification bubbles would pop up in the center and would share one bubble for calls and texts. I don't remember my original firmware or what region my device is from (international Note II - N7100), but I do know that it ended in XXALJ3.
I then rooted (though kept the stock firmware) and then decided to unroot. Not knowing the region for my specific note, I flashed a generic, international version that I found to end in XXALJ1. It's here where I found that the lock screen notification bubbles now pop up off-center - either to the left or the right (left for messages, right for missed calls).
Thinking that maybe this was due to the device running an older (if LJ1 is older than LJ3) version, I updated to the newer 4.1.2 firmware (rooted version from wanam (sp?). However, the notifications are still the same.
To summarize, my original firmware (4.1.1 XXALJ3) had the notification bubbles for these appear combined on the center of the screen, whereas firmwares I've installed myself (XXALJ1 & 4.1.2 XXDLK7) have these notifications appear separately, with missed calls on the left and texts on the right.
I'd like to know if anyone knows of a way to change/fix this. I'm assuming that this is due to regional differences in the device firmware, but if it's a setting any assistance in changing this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello guys, found a bug which is starting to annoy!
I'm using Modaco's Kitchen Rom R5, Jul/20 Version and I love it to be fair, finally having a phone customised to be my own is fantastic, unlocked and using the newest Radio also, good times.
But I have one problem.. When I receive messages through Handcent, the Blue LED Notification comes on (as it should) but doesn't disappear when the notification has gone! Is there a way around this bug?
Cheers,
Dan
The bug is with Handcent's latest version. Just change the LED to another colour than Blue from within notification settings in Handset
considering the fact it doesn't show on my DeVillain rom either, i also tend to incline towards a handcent issue.
Hope they release a fix soon tbh
Yeah, I hope they do, it's a fantastic app. I would like for them to release a paid version, and I would pay for it to get rid of adds in the settings menu. I know that shouldn't bother me but it does!
I only get it if I receive a notification pop-up but ignore it by doing something else, then bringing it back up to read it and hitting x doesn't make the blue LED stop until I open up the app itself.
I don't get such a 'bug' in normal cases. Just received two SMS, read through the pop-up notification and then hit x and the blue LED stopped. Works fine like this. Phone is running all stock.

I also have this problem with the led on my desire. all stock . Don't know but sometimes it turns off when i restart the phone but after the first message i recieve the led is always on again.. begins to be annoying cause i depend on the notifications when i work and can't have my phone on me, only see the phone behind the cash register.. It's annoying when i'm waiting for someone important to call or message me. always looking on the phone
Handcent fix now available - version 3.22
I updated to 4.3 by OTA last week. I had no issue during the update. The update was from 4.1.x which was the latest version before this 4.3. It was never rooted. I see two weird things in this new version. I would like to hear if anybody saw the same, and know how to solve the problems.
1) en download notification keeps appearing. (see the attached picture) When I hit the notification, it directs me to an URL link, but nothing shows up. The notification pops up every minute almost.
2) When someone calls me, the flashlight in the back of GS3 blinks. It never happened before. I do see it as a cool feature, but I don't want to use it every day. I couldn't find an option to turn it off.
Thanks.

Not sure about the notification but the flash setting can be fixed by going into settings, then to the My Device tab, then to accessibility. scroll down to find Flash Notification (under Hearing).
I did the official update on my wife's GS3 and immediately did a Factory Data reset and everything is working very well and smooth. Battery is actually pretty good too.
I have a Galaxy Note II, and my talk to text icon has disappeared. I had this issue once before on an HTC One X, and it turned out to be a bloatware app that I had disabled. But I can't figure it out on this phone. I've tried looking it up on google, and every answer I came across either said to hold the gear icon until the other icons popped up and make sure some box is checked (this option is not on my phone), the typical reboot and reset, or for some reason it gets flipped and I get a lot of results about text to speech. So if anyone has any ideas on how I can fix this without doing a reset, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance.
Oh, and its all stock. I don't have any custom keyboards or anything, running 4.3
My SGS4 (T-Mobile) is a bit over 2 years old now. I had been running a modified TouchWiz rom (I believe it was this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2679913), but recently I started having problems where the phone was missing triggers - alarms wouldn't go off, TextSecure would receive all my messages all in one big lump only after I opened the app, stuff like that.
I tried reflashing a number of ROMs, and I've currently landed on a recent CM12.1 nightly, but I'm still getting this problem where apps running in the background don't seem to have enough priority to get the phone to wake up and alert me that something is happening.
Does anyone know of a way to figure out what's going on? Any suggestions on diagnosing this?
(I have tried messing with PrivacyGuard on CM12.1, in case it's a separate issue, but the problem persists with it enabled or disabled).
Hi!
I've upgraded my phone via OTA to Marshmallow build EPH5 and have side loaded Good Lock 24.0.12. While most everything appears to be working well, I'm having an issue where incoming notifications (for example, a new Hangouts message, which I use as my default SMS app) will cause the multi-window side bar tray to appear on the screen.
I'm not entirely certain if this is Good Lock related, a side-effect of not doing a factory reset before upgrading the phone, or some new setting I haven't quite discovered yet. I'm hoping someone can confirm if this is occurring for them too and what the resolution, if any, might be. I'd prefer the tray to only appear intentionally. Perhaps this is intentional behavior?
Thanks!
I have the same problem too.
I have same problem too, simple fix just disabled multi window for now...
I'm not sure if it's an issues with 6.0.1 mm or is it just a bug in good lock but which ever one hopefully it gets fixed soon...

Thanks all!
From some more Googling, I've found the comments page (which I can't link to) of the Good Lock APK Mirror site seems to indicate this is an artifact of Good Lock.
