uncover "hidden" Trad and Simp Chinese interface - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

This can be a reason I will sell my S3 and go for Note 2.
Get "Morelocale 2" and set the following:
Trad Chinese: zh tw
Simp Chinese: zh cn
Yes, it's 100% native Chinese interface and menus (except the app does not have it).
In addition, Note 2 has many varieties of Chinese input methods (pinyin, changjie, quick, writing panel).

have you figured it out yet? i'm trying to sell my phone here in BJ but I can only sell to foreigners until I get that language on there.
AT&T Lumia 900 does Chinese language quite nicely. Under region+language settings modify sytem locale, browser & search language to either Traditional or Simplified Chinese. Then add Chinese keyboard input for 注音符號 and Hanyu Pinyin. They are both there. Good luck!
wait.... how can u use 900 in china?
i thought it's lock to at&t

I have a lumia 800 that I use and bought a 900 from my friend who works at at&t when I visited the states a few weeks ago. It is locked to at&t still. Waiting for that code.

As for 注音符號, can you choose Eten (倚天) keyboard layout? And can you use the Hanyu Pinyin Keyboard to output Traditional Chinese? Any handwriting input?
You can type in Chinese but the display language for the UI is still locked to English or Spanish.

Here are the keyboard options on my Titan (I *think* these are standard Mango, so it should be the same on a Lumia 900):
Chinese Simplified 12 Key
Chinese Simplified Handwriting
Chinese Simplified QWERTY
Chinese Traditional Handwriting
Chinese Traditional BoPoMoFo
I don't see any further settings for the Chinese keyboards (I might be missing something).

bopomofo and handwriting are both included for traditional Chinese. No PinYin :-(
Under Region + Language Settings:
Display Language (no Chinese)
Region Format: Chinese HKG, Macao, PRC, Singapore, and Taiwan
System Locale: Chinese HKG, Macao, PRC, Singapore, and Taiwan
Browser & Search Language: Chinese HKG, Macao, PRC, Singapore, and Taiwan

[Q] Handwriting recognition for Ex-Yugoslavian languages

I have searched for this on the internet but can't find any useful info.
Since one week I'm proud owner of Note 2. It's a fantastic phone. There is just one rather big problem I'm having with this phone.
I have a stock phone and I would like to use handwriting recognition for different languages. I have added and updated English, Dutch and Croatian. It is possible for me to write with S pen when I select English or Dutch. But when I select Croatian, the handwriting option in the menu disappears and I can only choose to use on-screen keyboard or speak-to-text recognition.
By the way. I need to use handwriting recognition for writing: SMS / Whattsapp / E-mail mainly.
I really need Note 2 to be able to write text in any Ex-Yugoslavian language (Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian), preferably Bosnian or Croatian. Does anyone know if a solution exists for this problem?? It would help me very much to use my phone to it's full extent.
One maybe important piece of information. My phone is an international GT-7100 version.
Tried:
- So you just know when I try to write serbo-croatian, with English or Dutch selected, the phone just tries to change the words to English or Dutch. So this is not a workable solution...
Bump!
I would like to know this too... Writing in english is perfect on this phone. But most of my sms i send in Serbian (or serbo-croatian, whatever you like)..
@OP : pozdrav tebra
I have the same issue with Lithuanian language. However I have checked on other phone with exact same software version and settings and it had the functionality. No idea what Im missing - any help appreciated.

German language and Swype version

Does the Galaxy Note II (if purchased in Asia, say Singapore) allow installation of additional languages for Swype (keyboard and dictionary)?
What Swype version does it have.
All these for Jelly Bean if available..
thanks

Hi, I just got my Note 2 and it doesn't have Swype installed. It just has the "Samsung keyboard" and "Google voice typing" available under Keyboards and input methods. But two things which should interest you:
1. You can enable a Swype-like mode in the Samsung keyboard settings - they call it "Continuous input".
2. You can download and activate most languages too. I live in Berlin and I've installed Deutsch and English (UK).
The Samsung keyboard is OK and has separate number keys along the top row (like a PC keyboard) but it somehow doesn't feel as slick as Swype to me after a day's usage, the main drawback is that the symbols aren't available with a long-press on the letter keys, you have to bring up the symbol keys separately, which is annoying. But there is supposed to be a fix for that here on XDA (search for "Enable secret CSC features") which I might try before deciding to install Swype.
I hope this helps!

I doubt they would,
I have Tab 3 (HK release) so yeah came std.
However Google has 'Google Pinyin Input' as a stand alone APP
so I am sure if you install that APP you will have no problem inputting Traditional !

Has Chinese/NFC version EU/global translations?

Hi, XDA!
I want to buy this device, but you know global version hasn't got NFC hardware enabled. So, I ask here if anyone has Chinese/NFC enabled and if it has global languages apart of Chinese and English (I want to enable Spanish and Russian, in particular).
So, apart of that question, I would like to know if anyone has taken advantage of NFC features and AI support out of Chinese market, or if knows future official/unofficial developments to enable and use NFC far from China.
Thanks a lot!
I'm not sure what languages besides English and Chinese are supported officially, but you can always flash this FW which contains Spanish and Russian - https://geekdoing.com/threads/international-firmware-for-mi-band-4.970/
As far as I know, it is not possible to use NFC outside of China (at least as of now).
If you install the notify and fitness for mi band 4 app from Google Playstore you can select from all languages. My phone language is set to Norwegian, and this was the only way to force the language on the band to English, but the app supports many languages.
