Google Calendar Sync Issue - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Everytime my phone syncs with the google servers all my passed calendar events get deleted. I've lost all my calendar entries from the last month and a half and every time I try to re-add events from say last week they keep getting removed. Anyone else have this issue or have any ideas of what could be causing it? I've tried reinstalling google calendar and clearing the application cache but no difference.
Edit: I should add that it deletes the events from both the phone and the main google servers.

Desire stopped syncing some events in Google calendar

About a week ago my Desire stopped syncing with Google calendar properly.
The items missing are regular recurring events. These events are still in my calendar when I log on to Google Calendar via the computer, but have disappeared from the phone calendar. Non-recurring events still appear on the phone.
I've tried unchecking and then re-checking Google under accounts to force a re-sync, but no joy.
Any ideas, short of a wipe data/factory reset?
Sorry to bring up this old thread again but I'm facing the same issue, did you have any luck resolving it?

Calender sync problem?

Hi,
Just a quick question really about the calender app. It seems to not want to automatically sync up with my online google calender? It does it the other way round so when I add an event to my phone and I go open the calender online the event is there. But if I add an event on the online calender I have to manually go into the calender and sync it, anyway to get it to do it automatically?
Thanks.
mine randomly forgets to show me any google calendar entries at all. It worked yesterday after clearing the calendar app data, now it's gone.
My wife's SGS2 seems to be plagued with this problem, totally stock build, keeps forgetting all her google calendar entries and I have to clear the calendar data and manually re-sync.
Doesn't happen on my SGS2 running a Cognition 2.3.4 build though.

ICS calendar sync issues solution

Not sure if anyone else is having problems in ICS builds with google calendar sync but I found a solution that worked for me. I tried different apks with no luck the problem it seems is that the ICS calendar has trouble displaying certain recurring events that GB seemed to handle fine for me. After exporting my google calendar, deleting the calendar, and then importing the saved file back into google calendar I was finally able to get ICS calendar to sync. Google how to import and export google calendar if you don't already know how, it's quite simple. If this doesn't work you can try deleting reoccurring events till you find the one causing the sync error.

THIS solved my ics google calendar sync error after updating
Yeah I had the same issue after updating to the official ics (samsung galaxy s2 I9100).

SWEET
Thanks
ICS with Exchange
I am facing the same problem with my exchange calendar sync. Do you think this solution would work for this as well?
There's an app for it
I had this issue after updating my Galaxy Note to ICS 4.0.3. Calendar sync caused forced close and no data was synced. Tried deleting my corporate google account from the phone and re-adding it (my personal account synced just fine).
Bought an app called CalenGoo for less than EUR5 after confirming with the very helpful dev that it is not reliant on the defective ICS sync engine. Got everything up and running in seconds!
On other suggested "solutions" found on forums: 1) Not intrigued to factory reset the phone and restore all apps and lose their settings etc. while there is no guarantee that it would do any good. 2) Deleting recurring events (weekly meetings with colleagues etc) is simply not something anyone who uses their Google calendar for anything serious is going to do. And again no guarantee that adding the meetings again would not just cause the same problem. Rather buy a phone that works. It is ridiculous that Google/Samsung would release this kind of defective crap, and makes you think what else might be wrong with ICS if QA is this bad.
Another Fix - Change/Delete Daily Recurring events with Every Weekday Selected

I was having this Google calendar sync error constantly on my Samsung Galaxy S3 and Asus Transformer TF101 tablet. I used ALOGCAT to pinpoint the root cause although it was misleading because the log said "Weekly" recurring event when it was actually a "Daily" recurring event with "Every Weekday" checked. If I deleted these entries or changed it to a Weekly event and picked each weekday specifically, the sync errors stopped. Here's more detail on my approach. I use Gsyncit to sync between my work pc Outlook account and my Google calendar. Then I use the normal sync apps on the phone and tablet. As part of my troubleshooting I had deleted all my Google calendar entries, then reloaded the events from Outlook to Google (one way). I still was getting the sync error until I located and changed the offending recurring events. I also removed my Google accounts from my phone and tablet to force them both to load all the recreated Google appointments from scratch. This may have been overkill. Try removing or changing the Daily (Every Weekday) recurring events, first, before wiping your calendars like I did. If doing just that works for you, it will save you a lot of time.

I have solved same problem by clear data of "calendar storage" apk in application manager. then sync with Google account.

[Q] Calenda Sync Driving Me Crazy !

Hello, I hope I can get some help from you guys about what is a petty issue I am having. I am having trouble getting my Google Calendar to sync up. The particulars are whenever I text GVENT and add a Calendar event i get the confirmation text message stating the even was added. However when I go into the Calendar it does not reflect the event was added. I can see the event on the online Google Calendar. If I manually sync the calendar the event appears on my mobile calendar. So I guess the issue is that the Calendar is not Auto Syncing. I have done the following. made sure auto sync is on, ensured the correct calendar is linked up, and even cleared data and cache. Removed account and added it back. I just reflashed this rom and it's not working now. Since I can sync it up manually is it rom related? Or something simple? Driving me crazy !
So after a day of searching I found the answer. Restoring system data in Titanium backup caused me to have this trouble. After re-flashing and restoring only certain basic apps without any system data it is fixed. Yea !:good:

Duplicate calender event with exchange

Is anybody having duplicate calender events with LH1 or LH9? I have 2 exchange accounts (one through my work, one personal through Microsoft Exchange online). The work account shows every calender event twice whereas the personal one works just fine. Once I delete the account and re-enter details to sync, there is only one copy for a while but eventually I get the duplicates. Both LH1 and LH9 firmware have the same problem...
Any suggestions?
I've had similar problems for some time. It happens for me with my work MS Exchange server and my hotmail account. I also will occasionally have duplicate contacts which I sync through my hotmail account.
I've found that if you clear your data in your 'calendar storage' app, it will resolve the calendar duplicates. Though it's only a temporary fix because they inevitably return.
I wish there was a better more complete solution because its quite frustrating.
Is thus happening on latest ota. There are some exchange fixes. In last release I had same problem I removed hotmail and only using one exchange account.

Ok, here is a fix for this. The best way it to delete the account. Follow these steps.
1. Disable all accounts from Syncing, Delete the Exchange account
2. Go into Applications and delete the cache, data and Force Close for Contact, Contact Data, Calendar, Calendar Data.
3. Power off the phone
4. Power on and add the account back and enable all accounts for syncing.
I did what you recommended but this is very cumbersome. And the duplicate records eventually do come back. We just need to permanent fix rather then temporary fixes.
Does anybody know whether the aosp Google mail/calendar program has the same problem (eg on cm 10)?
