What is this "Chameleon has stopped working" message I am getting ? I rooted the phone and as soon as it reboots, I get it while the phone is being activated.
It's a couple of posts below, not hard to find.

I've had some problems with my phone recently as it keeps rebooting itself (sometimes when charging and the battery gets hot.. sometimes randomly). When this happened a few months ago it got to a point where almost everything stopped working.. I did a factory reset but no joy so I took it to a phone shop and the guy said he flashed it and everything seemed to work again for another couple weeks then the rebooting started again but less frequently. Its now become a daily thing and today everything has stopped working again.. my call list.. text & emails won't update if a new message comes in I can't see anything in the list. I keep getting a popup telling me that Open Sense Plugin Manager has unexpectedly stopped along a couple of other error messages. I can't install anything either.
Any suggestions on how to solve this? I'm getting more than streesed by this!
Is it still rebooting? You could use an RUU and it might solve the issue but it might not. A bit of hit and miss if you ask me. If it is still rebooting because its getting hot, give HTC a ring.

What's an RUU?
It got to a point last night where it wasn't turning on at all just getting to the T-Mobile screen and then back to the HTC screen continuously. I managed to do a system reboot which stopped the error messages I was getting but it was still doing a number of reboots. Seems to have settled now but obviously there's still an underlying problem there.
Will def be giving HTC a call in a while but want to avoid sending it to them unless absolutely necessary.
[Q] Annoying "application stopped working" pop-up message. How to turn it off?
I'm on 4.0.2 stock and the app that stopped working was Taptu (RSS-reader).
I have set the widgets of the app to update every 2 hours and I figured the reason I got the message was that it was trying to update, but could not for some reason. I went into the app and tried multiple times, getting some of my feeds at a time, until it all worked.
Oh well, but my problem was that ICS gave me this annoying pop-up message that the application has stopped working. I pressed "OK" but it came up 3 times before I went into the app to check. I guess it was trying to update all those times.
The problem was that damn spammy pop-up message ICS gave me. I was in the middle of taking pictures.
I don't want those pop-up messages at all, is there any way to turn them off? I couldn't find a box to tick/untick in settings.
if an app is crap, and it seems is it, uninstall it
why u want keep an app that crash all the time?
That was not my question, but you're right none-the-less.
My point was that I don't want that message. Every app can stop working / FC or whatever, it happens, especially on a new platform.
I just don't want to get those pop-up messages from the system, in the middle of doing something else, and would like to turn the messages off.
i understood ur question, but i don't think u can disable that message..maybe in a future custom rom it will be possible
anyway, im using my gn from 2 months on the stock rom, and i saw that message very few times, usually on a new installed app, so soon uninstallet because it was not working..and never when an app was in background..a working app should work..none of my actual apps/games (about 80, maybe not too much anyway) crash
You're right about not having to live with a badly working app, but when it's working Taptu is very nice.
I love the ICS widget where you can go through stories like cards, the same way the photo-album works I think.
I'll keep an eye on it in the future and maybe have to search for a replacement.
But any app can FC / stop working, I don't want that pop-up message ever. I could live with it being a notification message, but that pop-up sure is intrusive.
Hi,
ever since having updated my unlocked Captivate Glide to ICS on Saturday, I keep getting the message "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped". Initially I thought this was just a nuisance. But at work today, I found that everytime a call came in this message pops up and on pressing the only option- "OK", the call disconnects. Further more it neither shows whose call got disconnected nor its shows missed calls. What gives?
Was wondering whether anyone knows anything regarding this before I go back to the stock gingerbread from the ROM

When this happened with our Glides we did a factory reset, which fixes the process.com.android.phone issue. Not had a problem with it since.
Same over here. No more problems after factory reset.

I just got the LG G3 on Verizon and flashed CM 11 12/4 and I am getting this error. A few nights ago I originally flashed the nightly from 12/2 and randomly got this error after setting up all my preferences. It's been fine since I went to the 12/3 nightly but I dont think I made any phone calls in that time. I don't know what's causing it and it's really bothersome. This time it happened when I went to make a phone call. This will be the 3rd time I've had to factory reset. Any ideas? I think I've tried all the wipe options possible..clearing caches etc.
I'm getting a similar issue. I've tried the last few nightly cyanogen builds for my G3, and sometimes during a phone call, the "com.android.phone stopped" will pop up, disconnecting the call. Once it pops up, clicking it away only makes it pop up again. A reboot does not fix that; clearing the phone cache does, but obviously that's not desireable because then the phone loses all my apps and saved logins.
Anyone know what EdenService is? A window popups every morning thus far stating that "Unfortunately, EdenService has stopped"
After I click 'OK', it comes back a few seconds later. It takes awhile for it to leave completely like 30 to 40 mins. Sometimes rebooting works.
I picked up the phone at Best Buy on 6/5/15. My carrier is AT&T. I live in Chicago, IL.
Thanks!

Got the same problem here. Pls help...

I've had the same thing.. I have an LG G3, running ROM CloudyG3 v2.4 (but with v2.3 I also had this issue) .
I just stopped the process.
Just forced it to stop. We'll see how the phone behaves without it. Thanks
same problem
I have exactly the same prproblem, every day at am2 the message pop up and have to force close it once. Any solution so far?
Task killer
I have used Zapper Task Killer. So far so good. Advanced task manager doesn't work so well. The EdenService keeps coming back. I'll try another if Zapper fails but so far two days of no issues
Good luck

I am still having the same problem non of the above solutions work for me permanently. The issue repeat it's self every time I restart the device or after 24 hrs. The only way that stop the message is to force stop it, however I have to do that every day; it's annoying.

In Debloater it shows up as EdenService.apk, com.lge.cic.eden.service. I wasn't able to find anything out about what it does. CIC seems to be some kind of LG support center though, so it could be remote support software.
I've blocked it using Debloater. If I notice any adverse effects I'll post here.

EDENSERVICE HAS STOPPED
It took a while, however on my LG G4. this damn popup continued to plag me. The solution (although possibly temporary) is: (SETTINGS-APP'S-ALL) find edenservice and clear cash & data. This will stop it for at least a good while. You may have to return in a few weeks and redo. It works for me. What, WHY nor how.....I don't have a clue.
Hi
Guest user here.
I have seen my G4 popping up this same error "Eden Service has stopped" a few times, but only at about midnight to 4am. I was stopping this service to make it go away. Reboot did not help a bit. Now it seems strange I never see this error during regular daytime usage. So today as I was scrolling my running apps list to find Eden Service, I saw "Restrict idle apps" running. I remembered I never turn this feature on. I double checked and yes it was disabled in Batt Power Saver section. So I went ahead and stopped this service too. But... It came back running by itself!
So here is my hypothesis. LG turns this feature on automatically, or should I say force this feature enabled at certain times of midnight. So that users get a longer standby time. Now I am not sure if Eden Service has to do with this or not, but if a user deliberately killed a service and it comes back by itself, that's not right. Especially with Eden prompts coming up every 3 seconds.
