I am not rooted, original sprint rom etc
every time i put my stteing on vibrate it keeps on switching back on on its own, or it goes into ringer off mode,
same thing with the wifi it keeps on turning itself on/off by itself
any solutions???????????
Thank you
The wifi is from sprint connection optimizer. It turns it on when a steady connection is around. Personally i keep it on because I get much battery life just using wifi over 3g with 2 bars of connection since it struggles. But for the sound, I have no idea.. That's interesting..
anyone out there have any ideas how to resolve this?

Something weird happens. I am connected to wifi calling all the time when I am home because I get zero bars here. For some reason though, whenever I dont touch the phone for a lil while, whenever someone calls it goes straight to voicemail. Does not even ring. Almost as if there is no signal, which of course there is. I also randomly call my cell from phones here to see if it happens and they get through fine. Like I said, its only when I have not touched the phone for a while.
I am completely stock.
I have the wifi sleep policy on NEVER and the wifi calling settings on wifi preferred.
Any ideas what can cause this?
Also, cell standby says the entire time I have been on battery, I have almost 100 percent non signal. That happened with my amaze also but it never made me miss calls because it was always on wifi calling.
Any idea of what can be causing this, or what I can do to stop it. Using GB btw, not ICS

Stock GB?
Yup.. Stock Gb
Hi, I have rubbish Orange signal at home and at work, so I started using Orange Signal Boost, which you may or may not know if the (somewhat misleading) name for an app that redirects the phone signal through any connected wifi router. So as long I have a wifi connection I have phone signal. Great. Apart from one thing, say now if I come home and my phone (Galaxy S2) is in sleep mode, it will not look for wifi and therefore not connect to Orange Signal Boost. So I miss calls/texts because I have no signal. And this situation will remain until I happen to wake my phone up for whatever reason, then it will connect almost immediately.
What I want is an app (or to change the settings of my phone somehow) that will, even in sleep mode, periodically turn on wifi, see if it can connect to any router. If it can't then I would like the app to turn off wifi, but if it can then it would connect automatically (which will then turn signal boost on) - I'm sure this would then keep signal boost on even if the phone is in sleep mode.
For obvious battery life reasons, I want the app to be as small as possible, and only check for wifi every, say 10 mins.
Do you know of an app (or phone setting) that would help me? If someone fancies developing one (can't imagine it would be that difficult for a developer) I'd be willing to pay for it. Plus, I think this would be useful for every user of Orange Signal Boost.
Thanks.
Traditionally I've read all over the place that turning Wi-Fi off when not in use is better for that battery but as of late, even here on XDA I've found people supporting the idea that it is better just to keep Wi-Fi running all the time rather then turning it on and off. I've been testing this for about a week now and have seen virtually no difference in my battery life. So I guess I just want to know what GNex users experience has been with this.
Only difference is that your phone will scan for networks once in a while.
Swiftkey'ed on my CM9 Galaxy Nexus
If you turn off WiFi network notification, there really isn't a big difference between leaving it on and off, as it won't be constantly scanning. If you're gonna be using WiFi several times off/on throughout the day and find yourself forgetting to turn it back on, just leave it running. But obviously turning it off can never be a bad thing, as long as you're capable of remembering to turn it on when you get back home and need WiFi.
I am out US on wifi only and there are a few issues i noticed. Im wondering if anyone else has the same problems.
1) If the phone is restarted it shows a full 4 bars when connected to wifi. Once the phone goes to sleep and has been sitting for a while then when I unlock the screen it says I have one bar and it performs that way. Toggling the wifi on and off has no effect the phone must be restarted to get the signal back strong.
2) The wifi reception overall generally seems weaker on my G than on other devices. In certain areas wife's Galaxy SII and my iPad both have signal of 2 bars and the G has nothing plus my G keeps disconecting from the wifi.
3) Power saving mode when the phone is down to the last 30% it turns off the wifi and turns on the LTE. Shouldnt it be the other way around!
Thx,
Mark
I have just got a note 2 LTE from Vodafone and the wifi seems to be constantly connected all the time if i'm in range of a network. I have checked all the standard settings wifi never on with screen off, *#0011# wifi deep sleep on etc and still my battery info was a solid blue line under wifi.
Does anyone else have this problem? or any suggestions?
I am starting to think it's the Vodafone Bloatware thats installed that maybe keeping the wifi one?
You mean to say that the wifi is always on even if you are not in a range of network?
That's normal behaviour.
this is XXXDDDAAA
Hi
This is normal for both wifi and bluetooth if you have them activated. Doesn't suck much battery though as I'm at 1% when in deep sleep with both running.
Send from my GNote 2 what else...
