Worthy S Note replacement app? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This 3-4 seconds lag when creating a new note is becoming very frustrating for me, especially as I often use it.
So is there any worthy replacement of it? I know I won't be able use any alternatives with S-Pen pull out but that's no problem.
Thanks in advance.
PS: I mean an app which will support S-Pen input like S-Note, I won't be using it without S-Pen.

Papyrus
Asus super note
My story
handwritten from my note 2 (N7100)

You can try this

Thanks for your replies guys. Tried Papyrus, didn't like it much. My Story, good app, but I don't need it. I've installed the Handrite one, it'll come useful when taking long notes. But atm, S-Note still looks better than others and I think I don't have any other, better options.

Evernote?
I've switched over to Evernote combined with Skitch. Skitch works quite well with the S-Pen in terms of drawing.

S Note Question

So I was trying to create a list of random stuff online with S Note, and I noticed I couldn't create a hyperlink with S Note. Is there a way to? And if not, can anyone suggest a good note app that can? I LOVE S Note though. Really hope anyone can help. Thanks!
Note Everything. It also gives you the option to draw notes in case that's what you like from S Note.

Ugh the drawing on the app wasn't as good as S Note. Why can't I just create a hyperlink in S Note? T_T
Thanks for the suggestion though!
3rd party apps are not gonna be as intuitive as the S Pen apps... unfortunately </3

Wierd sPen issue, Read on as it may affect you too

So here's the weird issue. I have an AT&T galaxy note and I have put the GT and 7100 image on it.
so I went a T Mobile store, and I played around with their galaxy note 2 on display. I pulled out my spen. And started writing on the display device. now I grabbed the spen from the display note to, and started writing on my own note and it doesn't work. So what gives.
so the SPen from the display note 2 does not work on my note but my sPen from my note works on the display note on T Mobile.
So what you're saying is that your sPen works, but the display model's sPen doesn't. ok?
Did the display model's sPen work on the display phone?
Does the sPen perhaps only work when there's not an sPen inside the device?
The sPen they use for display models around me are all fake ones. The reason I know is the little white tip is not movable basically a display model of an sPen.
OP You sure you didn't have your S-Pen inside your phone when you tried to write with the other one? there's some kind of power saving thing that turns off the Wacom digitizer when the pen is holstered.
The spen they had was what it come with the phone there was no tether. The display's sPen works on the display Note 2 but not mine.
While mine works on both my device and the display device.

Am I missing something? Your S-Pen works with your device and the T-Mobile floor model. The S-Pen from the floor model doesn't work with your device. Why do you (or should we) care as long as your S-Pen works? I have five S-Pens between my N2 and Note 10.1; all work equally well on either device. I don't care if an S-Pen I don't own or use works on my devices.
Recently I lost my spen so..I called Samsung and spoke to customer service and found out that the spens are different and function differently with each device (verizon spen wont work with att device)..and vice versa...Verizon spen has different functionality ?..I dont get it

This was the answer to the problem. There is a setting for the spen that needs to be unchecked so that you can can write on the screen even if an spen is in the silo.

For all the people here, the S pen is not just an ordinary capacitive stylus, rather its hardware is properly configured and hardcoded to work with the phone only. If you think you have an alternate truth, then prove it.

My s pen does not work on my note 2 other s pens don't work on it either.....my s pen works on my sisters s5 could it be something with my screen?

More comfortable?

So the Samsung guy paid a visit and brought the AT&T version of the S4 with him...my question is: Is this better than our Note 2? I don't mean internally or as far as screen. It does everything the Note can do and more without need of a stylus AND has Multi-Window, all in a smaller package. Is this the ultimate device in terms of power AND comfort? I, like many, have that nagging obsession of buying everything that comes out...so I will get it. How about you? Would u switch because of the S4's much smaller size?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
The main reason I bought the note was the size. Would never get another phone simple for a smaller size.
So anything below 5.5" is too small? My S3 feels tiny in my hand after using my Note and the fact that everything is smaller on the screen doesn't help either. I wonder how much of a difference it'll be between the Note screen and S4 in everyday use.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
I would stay with the note, mostly because I'm used to it now lol. But I would go to the s4 mostly because of 4.2.2 on it

Ohh hell no!!! I would never switch to an S4,I'm very happy with this beast of a phone.
Just like the wise man said YOU COULD NEVER STAY UP TO DATE WITH TECHNOLOGY).
EDIT: just an fyi, there is a sticky thread for phone comparisons especially the s4.

I to am still in love with with my note. Even if the S4 is greater than or equal to note 2 I will keep my note. I have actually come to enjoy the stylus and would miss it if it were gone.

Note 3

So it looks nice and all leather was a nice touch but other than that the features are not really breathtaking. Would it at least have an AR blaster? What about air view that's sick was expecting that on note 3 if it doesn't have it then damn might have to go for the s4 .

l Feel Like that the note 2 can do everything that the note 3 can do far as features of the spen like Box and others can't wait for them to be released in a custom rom

i'd like to sell my s4 for another note. i got the sprint note 2 but use my verizon phone more an love the note more than the s4. kinda stuck between deciding on the n3 or get a cheap n2. just waiting to see if the bootloaders are locked or not. i doubt i'll ever update my sprint phone since sprint's pretty useless in the 3 cities i'm usually in.

Some people like the "gimmicks"
I have installed cm on my note 2. Didnt take long before I realized my spen was useless and I had to figure out a new way to take a screenshot. Even on all my sense devices I really enjoy all the stuff worked in to the overlays. I might as well get a nexus if I want aosp

Useless? You're not trying hard enough. Get Note Buddy, CM S Pen Add-on, and Papyrus all off Play for free. Screenshot hardware shortcuts vary depending on the ROM, Vol-Down+Power is a common one otherwise screenshot can be added to the power menu.
Gimmicks are things like eye tracking, hand waving for scrolling etc. There are tons that only add ROM bloat that have little real value. There's a whole dictionaries worth of these included in the 4.2.2 included with s4, and likely all that crap and more included in 4.3. Sadly most all the UI improvements to Android in 4.2 and 4.3 are whitewashed over in TouchWiz.

I was hoping for a metal frame and body, but wasn't expecting leather. I'm not sure about that part. As for software improvements I feel the Note 2 can handle what the Note 3 has, but we will see.

Uhh...it isn't leather. It is texturized plastic.
Only thing I wanted to see was the flexible screen come into play
. N3 specs don't really phase me to go get it

The n3 is not revolutionary it's a little upgrade. I have a note 2 and will get the note 3 because I am addicted to technology but the reality it's I am not going to be able to do much more on the new note than the old note.

Actually there are changes - I suggest you check out the off-topic New device/upgrade thread for 2 reasons:
1) This one will be eventually locked as the other is the official.
2) I just left a little nugget there....

Best keyboard?

Not quite satisfied with stock and since I've used Swype forever on my previous devices, I'm not up to speed on the keyboard front and especially not for super-hires 10.5" tablets. Anyone running any particular ones they're happy with?

Try swiftkey. Its free and has a tablet mode (thumb typing). Swype and the likes don't work for me on a tablet as there's too much real estate to cover.

I use AI on my phone, it is my dd keyboard?. Best prediction capabilities for me. However, its a pay app and you have pay separate for the tab model. Swiftkey is free and has tab mode where it splits the right and left side of the keyboard, bringing them closer to the edge.

Love SwiftKey. You get cursor keys, and, man! Some really great themes! After SwiftKey learns you, it's almost as if it can read your mind.

I use Thumb Keyboard. You can setup text shortcuts and substitutions. It's good for 1 key passwords and infomation like email address, credit card numbers, etc. It makes entering information much easier and faster.
