I just got my note 2 only 3 days ago and sometimes when I try to open an app there is this annoying massage popping out saying that the maps are unfortunately stopped working so why is that and can I stop it somehow and just to mention a unchecked the google location tracking thing
Go to applications manager, select maps, clear cache and data.
And it's 'unfortunately' buddy!

Hey all,
Been having an issue and wanted to know if anyone has experienced the same thing.
I recently added a second Gmail account for my school email, and the first time it automatically downloaded some apps that I guess were downloaded from the market under that account. This is fine and I expected that, however...
I deleted all of the apps it downloaded because I don't want them anymore. A little while later it proceeded to download them all AGAIN without me doing anything. I deleted them a second time and then when I got home and connected to the wifi, it again downloaded all of the same apps.
Any idea on why it is doing this?
Thanks

Thanks. So it's normal for it to "restore" my apps more than once after adding an account, and after I delete them multiple times?

This is a well known bug in several Samsung models. It happens when you install an app that has access to accessibility or LED controls, and who knows what else.
I have a SmartWatch app which requires Accessibility to be turned on. I also have the SwitchPro widget which can turn on the LED flash, which makes matters worse.
The ONLY way to get rid of this problem is to disable all TTS (Text to speech) services and applications. Go to Settings --> Applications manager --> scroll right to "ALL" --> Disable "Google Text-to-speech Engine" and "Samsung TTS". If you are using 3rd party TTS apps, like Ivona, you'll have to Force Stop these apps as well. Which is a really bummer because I like to listen to my books using TTS using ReadBoox.
I'm hoping Samsung will fix this in their future updates.

Really thanks for answered.
F****** sammy.
:what:
Always love my note 2

Another way to at least temporarily get rid of this is to clear the cache of the TTS Engines. The darn bug comes back, and it's a bit of a nuisance, but you may be missing features of your phone if you disable it completely (Navigation?). It's NOT a permanent fix: disabling the Engines is.

Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda premium
theres an app called chat heads or something like that, that enables facebook like notifications to whatsapp and other programs.
Thats guaranteed to enable talk back even if is off. Check what you installed lately, probably its an app that does the same.
LOL
That's some high tech Note 2 you got there.
Talking to you and stuff. :cyclops:

Hello, i have the same problem.. Facebook and those work. But Gmail doesnt work.. unless i open the app manually.
First go to settings/app manager/all apps/ Gmail, Show Notifications must be checked.
And Sync must be on.. check sync options for gmail and the other not working stuff. this happened to me when i updated Gmail.. not facing any problems with other apps.
Give me a Thanks Button If I Helped!

I rebooted the phone and after that the Facebook app just crashes on launch without any error or anything. I had greenified the app. Uninstalled and installed again. Cleared cache and data. What more do I do

Any ideas please?
Well sounds like your greenify settings are causing the issue. With Facebook installed go back into greenify and remove the settings for Facebook and reboot. Hopefully it will fix the issue.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I did that as well, but to no avail, it just opens and then closes all by itself,
It's the all mighty telling you to finally get off Facebook.
Seriously, is your download coming from the play store or a backup?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
Lol Well I tried everything a backup and a fresh install. Still stuck on the same issue
Freeze or uninstall Greenify, uninstall/ reinstall Facebook, then see if it works.
