I rebooted the phone and after that the Facebook app just crashes on launch without any error or anything. I had greenified the app. Uninstalled and installed again. Cleared cache and data. What more do I do

Any ideas please?
Well sounds like your greenify settings are causing the issue. With Facebook installed go back into greenify and remove the settings for Facebook and reboot. Hopefully it will fix the issue.

I did that as well, but to no avail, it just opens and then closes all by itself,
It's the all mighty telling you to finally get off Facebook.
Seriously, is your download coming from the play store or a backup?

Lol Well I tried everything a backup and a fresh install. Still stuck on the same issue
Freeze or uninstall Greenify, uninstall/ reinstall Facebook, then see if it works.

I have notice that in the last day or so my phone sync icon has been constantly spinning and draining battery very fast....Help, is there a fix for this???

If you're on a Sense Rom & have removed any system apps that sync, the syncing will go on forever as it's trying to sync an app that's not there. Gmail, Facebook, Peep, Friend Stream & its counterparts, Weather... you get the point. Restore those apps or reflash the ROM to solve the problem. A temporary fix would be going into Settings, Applications, Manage Applications and force stopping com.htc.bgp but you'll have to do that any time the phone syncs.
I don.t recall removing anything...I just start to notice this about two days ago..I am running the Elite Series Custom Rom and have not had any problems untol now...strange...I really hate to reflash

Does a battery pull, wipe of cache, and dalvik cache, and then reboot solve it? It sounds like something is stuck syncing. Maybe Facebook, the weather, or something. When you go to menu>settings>accounts and sync, do you see any of your accounts stuck with the spinning sync icon?

Today when I woke up I checked facebook and the messages worked, but my news feed and notifications wouldn't refresh. I just ignored it. I checked again an hour later and it still wasn't working. I logged out and tried to log back in but it wouldn't log back in. Most of the time I get no error, it's just stuck doing nothing, but the error I do get it something stupid like "error: Cannot sign in".
I've tried restarting countless times, clearing the cache, clearing the data, uninstalling and reinstalling the Facebook app, using different Facebook accounts and nothing will work.
Using Facebook in the browser works fine.
Any ideas?

Kidding lol.
It could just be Facebook app being weird. Mine did that yesterday but today is fine

Even if you uninstalled it, it still stores some data.. You tried deleting the facebook folder in Android/Data ?
Also if you got to Settings then Apps.. clear the cache and settings from there too..
Hope this helps dude..
Just tried again and it's still not working, ill try the data thing later

Got an app called Friendspace Pro for Facebook and it's supposed to be an alternative.. It wouldn't log in either.
Going to try and log in using the wifi at work tomorrow.

have you tried a factory reset? Could help.
Are you on a stock or custom rom??
Factory reset is bit too extreme.
Try clearing cache and dalvik from recovery.
Also install and open lucky patcher.
It often deletes some stored files.
P.S. I know lucky patcher is related to piracy and I am not promoting it. Just read and observed that it does help in some cases.

I ended up fixing it by turning off my custom hosts file.. No idea why that effected Facebook. (It was to stop an app from checking the licensing server)
I have my note 3 rooted running stock rom with just a couple of apps disabled frozen such as chat on, s voice, pen up, etc. Nothing that should interfere with the system or anything. But my email app will just force close sometimes Idk why. Has this been happening to anybody else?

Try clearing the data on the email app and the exchange app. Reboot the device and see if that fixed it

I have pinpointed it to when new mail is arriving.force closes 100% of the time.
I think I've found the culprit. I froze the 2 'my magazine' files.
Upon restoring them the email and Touchwiz stopped force closing. If I refreeze them, email FCs 100% of the time when new mail arrives.

I am on Sprint, but have had the same issue--once I defrosted the magazine apps, the issue went away.
Nice!
Rooted stock 4.2.2 rom. Randomly one day none of the Google apps worked. I removed account and now when I try add account this appears. Internet connection with other apps works fine. What should I do?

Hi, i'm using the old-but-stable 2.20.40.149 on my Z008, the only issue is whenever i start messenger, it crashes all the time. Facebook has the same behaviour. I tried to install old Messenger version, as well as wiping dalvik cache, still no help. Thanks in advance.
Edit: Make it a system app doesn't help.
Are you using xposed?
I had the same issue and solution was to boot without xposed, launch Facebook and Messenger, then install xposed again.

No, i'm not using xposed
Hi,
Try to wipe data of Facebook and Messenger app and relaunch it. If it doesn't help, try factory reset.

If nothing else then ditch the Facebook app and use a third party app for Facebook.
I got rid of the FB app because it seemed to take over my phone. I now use Swipe instead. It is a little plainer but it works solid and stays where it is supposed to. It even lets me use messaging in FB without having to install FB Messenger.

Yes. Definitely agree with this one. ^^
I've been using Swipe for more than 3 months and it's rock solid. OP could also try Metal.
