Hey everyone, i have watched many of how to make your android faster without root and it is kinda frustrating. Is there anyone who can teach me how to root my wonder and make it faster, without draining the battery life faster (I have saw a few post that states battery drains)?
I plan on using my wonder daily for everyday-uses and it is too slow to handle that.
Thanks.

A suggestion: Try out the "Seeder" app. Someone shared it in the General forum. Please thank him *and* the dev of Seeder.

Hi,
I love my Nexus, but in my opinion there are to many lags. Do you think this will be better in the future? CM9? I hope!
CM9 + Overclock + Disable/Delete every possible app that the system doesn't absolutely need.

I couldn't agree more. This is by far the snappiest phone I've used. And it's even better when rooted and running ARHD
Hmm if you think there is zero lag on this device then you are deluded
It's still awesome though and very snappy (generally speaking)
I hope at least of 8-9 months of top of the line support and proper updates to solve bugs/issues.
Hello Guys,
I have a Question:
I want to OverClock my Galaxy Wonder. I was an Bionic Cow 2 (OC) and I liked the Speed..!
But there was a Green kinda "Flare" on the left + right Side. This was really annoying me.
Plus it crashed some times...
So I flashed back to RebelRom.
It's my favourite Rom; very Stable (never crashed so far, but kinda slow. So thats why I want to Overclock it.
I used to download alot of Tools in the Play Store, but all the Widgets, Apps etc. go till 1,4GhZ. But since the Galaxy W has 1,4GhZ from Stock, it' no Overclocking..!
Is there any possibility ?
I searched alot on the Internet, and all I found were Answers like; "Go and Flash the Bionic Cow..." etc.
So I decided to ask over here, and hope for a good answer.
Anyone knows how..?
Greetz, Busted.
Hey, i wouldn't advice overclocking since 1.4 ghz is pretty much, i think that you would gain waaaay more speed by suoercharging, have you considered using v6 suprercharger script? If you dont know what it is look it up on xda

Hi, is there anyone who can suggest me the best Rom + Kernel to use to have the maximum battery life? If there is a similar post, i'm sorry, i couldn't find it.
I personally use rbj 4.1.2 with trinity alpa 67. I average 20 hours with 4-5 on screen time

i believe you easily!
almost same config (rom), with leankernel and 4.1.2 version is doing the job with battery life, compared to 4.2 JB, its day and night.
Ill try trinity, already placed it on my memory but was testing leankernel
No SOD, or heavy drain in use ?
I'm trying the new dummy kernel from ak and it works really good. You should give it a try.
Dummy kernel and Purity rom does the job. 36 hours or so of usage with 3hr 30min of screen time or so. 3G on throughout. ARHD does the job too
I recommend AOKP with lean kernel. Best battery saving and buttery smooth.
The combo is so stable and it's my daily rom.

Hey so I know I'm a bit off topic but I'm still pretty new to the development on this phone. Anyways for kernels, do I need to download a certain one for my phone model (GSM/LTE)? Or are they compatible with any model?

Given that you have to find *your* best combo, I think that Purity with lastest franco.kernel is better for battery life, even if AK kernel is a little better for performance.

GSM and LTE have different phone/data HW and chipset just because the phone technology is different. You have to find you custom (or stock) rom in your own forum.
And yes, you are quite OT , but I'm not an admin
Yeah sorry for the OT question. Also I wasn't asking about custom ROMs, I was asking about kernels but thank you I appreciate the reply.

I've tried about all of them and aosp with stock is definitely the best battery life........ With my usage pattern. Your mileage will probably vary.
I have no issues with my gps on 4.1.2

Good evening/afternoon everyone ,
My wife has had her Galaxy W for a while now , been really happy with the phone other than random restarts . Tried factory reset - reinstalled latest software via kies but still this issue continues . I am just about to install a custom ics firmware on it which I hope will rectify this -can anyone recommended a basic ICS rom that I can use , don't need anything flash just a functional upgrade ,
thanks

Adding to pepoluan, CM9RC2 + Seeder. Its not compulsory to use custom kernel, for daily usage, arco's CM9RC2 kernel is good enough.

I'm currently using dewadgKernel, and it's Real Good™
However, before I use some newfangled kernel for at least one week, I won't fully recommend it...
That said, CM9RC2's kernel is Way Good Enough™ for the majority of people.

Thanks guys -
I have installed: cm-9-20121221-EXPERIMENTAL-ancora-rc2 , with kernel V2.2 , seem to be pretty good and I am sure it will do all that she needs and more , hopefully more stable than 2.3.6 ,
cheers

Of course. Seeder is one of the best inventions ever made. If you think your phone now is stable and smooth, wait till you get seeders in.

Please advise, i have flashed Arco's CM9RC2 with Kernel version 2.6.35.14-cyanogenmod, however i;m facing problem with wifi stability especially when i log off and log back in, will need to reconnect wifi which is quite a hassle & the wifi receiving is not so efficient as before... other than that, no complaints...

Hi guys,
I asked this question in a thread, but I think it deserves its own.
What is the most stable ROM for this phone?
I just bought it to offer to a family member of mine that does not want to worry or understand the advanced android user ways
Please tell me which ROM should I install. I'm already unbricked and recevery'd
Thanks
Cheers

At this time any of the stock derivatives ie v20x. However progress has been made on CM10.1 so it may not be long for it. From what I read blue - tooth and battery drain are the two biggest issues with cm10.1.

I'd say PAC-Rom is the most stable.
best
I think CM and aokp support our devices very well
I want the best multilanguage rom also for my P930, which is the ROM with the less bugs, and all hardware work?
I mean camera, wifi, BT etc.. I don't care about rare FCs or reboots, just I want evrything working.
Cyanogen doesn't have mhl working, I don't use BT so cant comment on that.
Lg nitro V6 is remarkably stable with everything working fine, but doesn't have many languages available.
Use wind kernel for best battery / performance ratio, it also fixes the WiFi battery leaks on the latest versions as well as the screen off issues
