Does anyone know what types of phones are the class B and C replacements? I remember class A replacements being unopened retail phones, but nothing really about the other two classes...
Edit: I posted this provide information for those who may ever plan to replace a phone through VM. I had an issue a few months ago where I bought a brand new One V that I decided to return two days later after I experienced problems with my screen. I thought that I was going to receive a new phone having it only been two days of having bought it as new, but I ended up receiving a remanufactured or "refubished" phone instead. These phones are know as class B replacements, and you can tell by putting in your order number at VM's site and reading the details. They come in small white boxes or the printed one like you see here. The phones look new and all, but it infuriated me that I would be paying full retail price for a phone that's refurbished. I returned both the defective and refurbished phone and got my money back.
As far as class C, my guess would be that it is a refurbished phone that has cosmetic wear, and that you would probably only receive after your warranty has run out, but it's just a guess...

Hi has anybody else had problems with this company. I pre-ordered the phone on t-mobile recommended contract on the 13th March. Pre-order deal was 4gb memory card, in car charger and £40 worth of free goodies to which I chose an 8gb card.
- 4 days after recieving the phone I found they hadnt activated my contract so had to do it all over the phone
- 6 days later still my number hasnt been ported. Called up T-mobile had to re-submit my code for porting.
- 10 days later no freebies or goodies arrived. called mpd customer services they had to re-submit my order.
- 19 days later they sent me a 4gb card not recieved anything else!
Everytime I speak to a customer rep online they dont come across friendly and never even said thanks for buying from mobilephonesdirect they just hang up or close the chat! very ignorant for a phone company I think.
Anyone else had problems?
It's a shame you're just out of the 14 day cooling off period, else you could have just sent it back.
They've been really, really sloppy with the release of the Desire. I ordered one from them, and after phoning them literally every day for 9 days to try and set up my sim card, I told them to shove it, and sent my phone back. I haven't heard from them since, so I'm hoping its all good
I had a nightmare of a time with them, pre ordered mine 1st march, cancelled 1st april but they still sent me out 2 phones attached to contracts, its taken me the best part of 2 weeks to get it sorted.
I wont be touching them anytime in the future thats for sure, customer support is appauling and i could never get through on the support line, always ended up using sales.
I didn't have any problems with em, ordered on the a Sunday and it arrived by Wednesday with the free car charger. However, I didn't pre order or take it on a contract.
its flaming annoying. Now they just sent me a bill for a 4gb sd card which comes free. Im getting very cheesed off now! Still haven't received my freebies, they told me there's a huge back order for them.
Beware MPD
Same here.
Preordered in March. Delivered on April 7th.
T-Mobile sim set up for Nokia 6700. Max connection speed 356k because of this. T-Mobile wont switch it to HSDPA speed without £5 per month extra charge.
Ordered 8Gb memory card. Delivered a 4Gb card 2 weeks later. Billed me for it yesterday.
This is the worst company I have every dealt with!
it must be contracts? I had a good experience with MPD. I was weary about ordering from them but was happy with the service for the most part. Updates on the website were not that regular.
I ordered a T-Mobile PAYG Desire the evening of the 7th. It arrived the following Monday. I was surprised considering the stock shortages. The 4GB card was already in the phone.
Based on what I read here, probably on for PAYG or SIM free only. Sounds like they struggle with contracts.
Thank god I didn't buy from them. They wouldn't confirm whether the handset was sim-free/unbranded on PAYG despite plenty of people suggesting otherwise so I went to Handtec and got it from there.
Mine was fairly smooth to be honest. A little bit of a mixup with my order but it arrived about two days later complete with free HTC car charger.
The only issue I had, which I think everyone had, is T-Mobile think you're on a Nokia N900 when you activate your contract so won't put you on the free (and apparently faster) internet tarrif.
It was quite simple to talk to T-Mobile and get this changed and there was no suggestion of paying an extra fiver and now I'm getting DL speeds of about 1600kbps and can use the booster for my text messages instead.
Hi all,

I got mine off amazon back in Jan, was easiest/cheapest way to get a sim free phone that I could find here at the time. But it would appear that it's not offered directly through Amazon - just resellers now there. So depending if that's your cup of tea or not, still have that route.
Not sure which carriers offer it still in store - but I believe if you bought outright off Vodafone, they'll give you the unlock code immediately (up to a 7 day wait maybe though?).
O2 policy was a year, and I think 3 might've been three months.
Pretty sure its not stocked in most stores in the uk now,
I got mine from the reseller Top T through amazon and they were very good, dispatched and delivered within 3 days. Free delivery also.
Thanks folks.....
I'm gutted. I almost bought the white one on ebay the other day, but opted for the HTC One X (this was before I read the bad reviews) and the bugger ripped me off with my cash.
So waiting for Paypal to get my refund sorted.
The white one on ebay was new and only went for £227
Would you recommend it?
Only because I could upgrade early with Orange for about £300 and get the S3?
I'm just not keen at all on that touchwiz poo,lol
That sucks, i like the onex but i have heard some bad things about it.
Just a personal thing but i'd never buy a phone from ebay anyways.
Grab the Gnex from amazon for £316 and you'll be happy
Edit: SGS3 is a beast, i've played with one and the touchwiz isnt all that bad. Plus the custom roms will be coming soon.
Down to personal preference really, i cam from iphone so anythings better!
Yeah, I've heard it's good,lol....
That's why I'm a bit undecided
Argggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Decisions, decisions!
I would go for the nexus, buy it outright then you're not going into another long contract, if you dont get on with it down the line you still have an upgrade to use and you can sell your nexus.
That's what I was thinking....
They're all going to start competing with quad cores now and in a few months the SG3 will be bottom of the list....
Nexus it is....
Thanks for your help!
So I had to get a replacement phone and they sent me one through customer service, now how do I know if its refurbished. The shipping weight shows it being .80lbs. I dont even know if its possible to even have refurbished ones this soon. What do you all think?
Refurbished are guaranteed to be the same quality as new so if it isn't send it back.
consider how many people bought the phone, even though it's only been out a few weeks. there's going to be messed up ones, of course. there may also be new ones as well, if they run out of refurbs. like the above poster said, not to worry, as they're just as good as new.
fake samsung s3 cheap
why samsung s3 phone made in china? galaxy note made from Korea.......
I had to exchanged my phone like 2 Weeks ago. I got a new one, just the phone though. Did you ask the representative if its new or refurbished?
Sent from my SGH-T999

Well....
#1. The shipping weight is low because it is not coming with battery or any accessories, not even a battery door. Just the phone.
#2. There is a possibility it is refurbished, and there is a MMI code ##RTN# that displays whether it is refurbed or not. Has to be 100% stock to see, so don't flash anything.
#3. Hit thanks, and let us know your findings
When U purchased my moto 360 I bought the two year warranty for it. Recently its been randomly turning off and the device gets extreme hot. Seeing as how the original is no longer being sold by bestbuy if I took it to be exchanged how would that work?
I'm not sure what category that would fall under on here [http://www.geeksquad.com/protection-plans/geek-squad-protection], but if you bring it into your local store, they will be able to get the process started. You can also call them at 1800 Geeksquad (1-800-433-5778) and they will be able to fully answer that for you. More than likely, they will be able to replace it with a working refurbished one.
Wish I'd seen this earlier, but this was exactly my situation. Essentially what they did was allow me use the amount I spent on the original Moto 360 (minus the warranty) towards the new Moto 360. I did have to buy a new 2 year warranty, which is more expensive, because the watch is more expensive. I paid around $130 total, and took advantage of a $50 gift card offer they were running at the time.
So Im on my second 'new' HTC 10 from ebay. First one was simply an open box to unlock listing. Not bad since it only takes like 5 min at most to unlock a phone. Nope phone came with nicks and scratches on the casing and screen. Didnt want to deal with it so I sent it back. Ordered another one 'brand new sealed in box'. Wrong again. Another shoddy box with chinese knock off accesories but atleast the phone was mint. After having problems connecting to LTE i decided to do a imei/serial number check to see if I probably recieved some weird non us compatible phone. Low and behold phone is a japan version with HTC warranty repairs for water damage. So now to return this one.
So if youre in a market for a new phone, ask for the imei before shipping and run it thru a HTC warranty checker such as imei.info
Either way if it comes in non HTC packaging, eg texured stickers on the box as opposed to the pressed textures of an oem htc box, chinese accesories like chargers with the writing all crooked and a generic sim removal tool instead of the tiny and square htc tool USE PRECATION. Sellers ive delt with so far are AMPM and x-channel on ebay.
Again BEWARE of used phones being passed as new.
Also does anyone have any links to brand new phones? They are non existent in the US and Amazon had them listed a couple months ago
https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B01G1NHAYI/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all
There are a couple New listings there on Amazon still.
Both for Grey and Silver.
Is the 10 even made anymore? Why would you buy an old phone new?
Also, where is your negative feedback on these sellers, especially the one that barely has any feedback?
Yes, always IMEI search; the phone can be blacklisted becasuse someone didn't pay their bill/fulfill their contract. I provide that information when I sell my phones on Craigslist.
this is common sense

The HTC 10 isn't made any longer. But there could be leftover inventory not yet sold. Overall it's a very good phone and could be had for a lot less than a U11. The only trouble is, the HTC 10 is a crap-shoot on reliability. There have been enough reports of this battery issue where the phone suddenly shuts off when the battery level is somewhere down below half, and then gets caught a rebooting loop. If the phone is fully charged, you won't run into this issue. So, it's easy for a used/refurbished HTC 10 to be sold without the problem revealed upfront. Either a seller would confirm the issue doesn't exist, or you get it with a warranty. HTC has not formally acknowledged the issue. And apparently there's no way to know if your phone is a time bomb waiting to suffer the same fate.
Amazon is turning into eBay now. There are tons of counterfit goods being sold on Amazon. With a recent ruling, they can NOT be held responsible for these items, even if they fulfill shipping them from their warehouses. I just got a suspected used phone that was listed as NEW on Amazon, and it was even PRIME! Very sad that you can no longer trust Amazon for a hassle-free, no b.s. shopping.
