if u rerun a benchmark test on any stated above ROM
you will find such a differnce in two results on the same ROM
this is a very minor difference and doesn't mean
any high and low performance (i think so)
Ex:
rom=cm10 alpha3
kernel=forfivo maxmem
max freq=1401
min freq=245
app= antutu v3.0.3
results:
before reboot=5469
after reboot =5696

Honestly, a difference of less than 2% on a synthetic benchmark is nothing to lose one's sleep over. Attribute that to statistical error and/or inopportune events (like, the baseband deciding to resync with the BTS).

can arco's cm9 kernel be used with other roms (i.e. stock gb rom or rio's black notes)?
i know it sounds stupid but i just want to clarify...

yes arco's kernel have 364 mb of ram and providing smooth and liquid in gaming so if possible to port to gb it will awesome i think
CWG (Cow) kernel is also based on arco68's kernel...the very latest is Bionic V2.
When it comes to gaming Alpha3 is the best

Which the best for gaming? and which the best for daily use?
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
For day to day use you should wear a8 CM9 kernel, for the performance is quite nice and smooth. But it's good to play games using fortifo v2.2 BFS kernel, faster performance but battery is rather wasteful.

new version of antutu have different scoring system. with new antutu your score will likely higher than the old one. if you're using antutu you'd better make sure that you're using same version so that we can compare the result. with old antutu my score is about 2700 but with new antutu I could easily got 4200.
Antutu 3.0.3
Ussrv9

I would start with whatever kernel is included in the ROM.
Personally, I never see much of a difference flashing kernels....so I usually stick with the one the rom supplies. Just my preference.

I think I should be the one to answer this. The kernel I baked into SpeedBean is the final ASDK 4.1.2. I forgot to add the WiFi modules so WiFi is borked on the build. In my opinion, ASDK and Cerux are both good kernels to use with SpeedBean. You have to decide on one or the other because like I said, WiFi doesn't work on SpeedBean if you don't flash another kernel.
