Hi Guys,
I was wondering if you guys could point me towards the best kernel for battery life? Or perhaps just some CPU settings?
I'm currently on the Blade v2.1 custom ROM. And I was wondering if anyone could help me out? (Please keep it noob-friendly )
Cheers!
Use lionheart governer and noop
They are the best for performance and battery
no signature....problem ?!?!?!
Custom kernels don't work for JB Sense ROMs, so you stick with stock kernel
Ah I see, what about some CPU settings with apps like No Frills CPU Settings?
Any app
no signature....problem ?!?!?!
ncx kernel or stock one

Are there any ICS kernels that have the conservative governor included? Battery life is a big issue for me on AOKP and CM9, which prevents me from using them as a daily driver.
At the same time, I love them for being so slick and having the Bluetooth audio issues fixed.
Any help is appreciated.

No, because there are no custom kernels yet that are compatible with ICS.
I think we can fix that one without the custom repacked kernel.
Do you know which governors being used for AOKP and what CPU frequencies?
What I'm thinking about is, we could take the cpu tweaks on my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1625299, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1610741 (all_in_here.zip, there are two cpu tweak files) and make the modification to fit to AOKP.
Currently on these tweak, I'm using 'ondemand' governor as default because conservative governor is not supported on ICS stock kernel yet. By changing the values on ondemand governor, we may get the same result.
(with some other tweaks, I'm getting 24hours now with 50% battery still left on Stock rom/kernel)

That's actually phenomenal. I'm at 46% after 6 1/2 hours.
Hi guys,
I was wondering if any of you could advice me on what are the best settings to use for:
a) Battery life?
b) Maxing out performance?
Cheers!
You need a custom kernel to play around with CPU governors. (No custom JB kernels yet as the source hasn't been released).
If you're still on ICS and have a custom kernel, interactive or ondemand are battery friendly. Performance governor give the bets performance (surprise).
hi guys , i want to ask you what is the best gaming kernel for HTC stock JB 4.1.1 ROM ?? im not on a custom rom so i need to play some games like NFS most wanted with minimum lags . can anyone tell me what is the best kernel for me ?
All kernels are amazing! You need to change the governor to interactive and io scheduler to deadline for optimum gaming experience...
Besides, comparison threads are not allowed in xda...

yaa i know , i tested many kernels and all of them with interactive governor give me the amazing performance so it was so hard for me to choose one and it was the reason that i created this topic . and i think i find it , i think Alex kernel is the best .
and another question , which governor use Less battery ? when i don't wanna play game i set my setting to 1.3 ghz and Smartmax , so i just wanna know its the best option ?

Dear fellow xda members,
I have a question that I could not find answer for via search, so I would like to ask you to help me.
This is a great ROM, but I wanted to get maximum of battery life so I installed SetCPU. I chose several different profiles and CPU governors, but I ended up with a significant lag and even worse battery life. I am using stock Kernel. My questions are:
1. What SetCPU settings should I chose for my Note 2 in order to have best battery life with minimal impact on performance? (ondemand, pegasus,...?)
2. Which KERNELS beside stock and Devil are compatible with awesome Dr Ketan's v6.1 ROM, and which Kernel do you recommend for best battery life? Also, how do you set parameters for those kernels also?
Thanx in advance, dear colleagues!
This one could be compatible with this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2311094
For further answers, scripts and settings there are several posts.
Edit: Yes it works:
I am testing these settings now:
gove- yanks zz move
schedulers row,row
cpu freq- 1600 mhz
cpu undervolt -20
gpu default
gpu uv -20
threshold- more batt save
sd read ahead 1024 1024
power saving load bal- max savings
zram 500mb

use settings from my thread to start off
hiya everyone,
I was wondering i'm running KK with Werewolf V8 kernel stock rom, Is there any better ones that allow better GPU clocking, next question is Whats the highest suggested Voltage setting for the SM-T210 and Can you clock it any higher than 1.40Ghz.
I'm also having an issue keeping both Cores running full at all times i have the Gov set to Lionheart.
Whats the best Kernel.
Thanks Hope to hear back.
