There are 2 cwm's available so which one do you want? Either by mad team or by skin1980(I prefer this one) ? You should probably check the threads in Android development forums for the links after deciding which one you want or I'll upload them if you want..

Have u rooted ur rom? if u manually deodex ur rom now, u might not be fully deodex all apps. I would recommend u to flash a custom ROM for simplicity. All the custom ROM here are deodexed.

Yup its rooted but I dont want to install custum roms because none of them I find is sutible for me ...!!!
And iam wondering if i installed custom rom can I revert to the stock one...?

Sure you can.....revert I mean!!
As a matter of fact, you can revert to exactly what you have at this moment in time.
Have you got ClockworkMod Recovery....
if not, you must install.
When you have CWM.. you just got to make a Nandroid Backup...which is a complete copy/image of your current setup.
This can be restored at any time, bringing your device back to what is your current setup!!!

Thanks very much so now i think i will install the CWM recovery....but the problem is there is no good rom that meets my needs except arco68's rom but the cam isn't working!!!
Btw do you know a good custom rom you tried and was good...??

How do you come to that conclusion???
Please tell us, as you are obviously an expert!!!
What are your conclusions, having flashed numerous ROM's?? no doubt.....
You should be careful how you phrase what you say.....
you probably mean no offence....
but you have just offended the entire Voluntary Developer Community for this device.....
as in guys/gals working for us for no money,

Ohh my bad i didnt say it right will i meant i didnt find any rom that meets my needs thats all.
Sorry i think iam a noobie not an expert though i know too much about computer and android but not that good to be a dev.
And iam sorry i sure mean no offence....but you know what i mean like lets say....arco's rom is very nice except the most important thing to me is isnt working (the cam).
I really need the cam and i will want to have a an ics rom or a good rom and install an ics theme on it...!!!

So after all can you suggest me a rom that you tested and like it ...?

Why is it that all new devs first come to our forum to test things?? . I am not at all trying to scare this dev and make him run away but its just human nature not to believe when there are couple of reasons like these (That guy has only 2 posts, no android phone and he is from symbian OS)

Dude I already ported it before
As taking the base as cm7
It had the same buggs in cm7
So i didnt post it .......
Hope this one might have the same buggs because nobody fixed the present buggs in cm7
If you want to help us . Try to port another cm7 at first before you doing this

I did use the tutorial mentioned above. I'll be getting my Galaxy Y in no time.
About the Rom
- Flash it via CWM
- Base rom do has bugs as mentioned by sgy.creed. Use patches by Mr.Vivek
- LeWa-OS rom is actually ported from HTC Hero. So I think it'll have screen resolution problems

Same bugs mentioned in cm7 section because it is made with the base of cm7 for sgy

im not offending the OP or anything but this looks like your nth-port-post-here thing,
and previous ports we found that nothing worked, and wont boot
hey guys i recently updated my galaxy grand from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 the problems i am facing is that some apps are force closing ... phone became slower ... it takes longer than before to open apps ex: if i tap on Facebook app it shows a black screen first for 10 sec ... phone freezes randomly ,
i have cleaned cache and done factory reset (phone memory isn't full i have 3 GB free)
any ideas ? i am really thinking of downgrading to 4.1.2
Have u flashed any custom script??.. That cud be a reason...or maybe ur ram consumption is too high....
Try updating to latest firmware...if still problem persists...its firmwares fault..compare to any1 using same firmware of same region obvious.. If he also have same issue...then sorry bro bt u cant help it...flash another one if u want.. ..

yeah man it seems that its a firmware fault i have seen a lot of people complaining about it online ... xD
do u think i should downgrade to 4.1.2 as it's official or i should give CM11 a try (KITKAT)

U can definitely give kitkat roms a try :l..(if u okay with singl sim....and not to forget,no fancy samsung apps but standerd google ones ..our developers have brought amazingly stable roms for our device by giving there precious time)..

First...when u flash a firmware via ODIN, that is a whole package which includes kernel,bootloader,recovery,system...every thing...so it will automatically do whatever is needed to be done...just flash by ODIN and have no worries .
About kitkat roms....
That depends on what's ur poison...
1.cm11- the first kitkat rom to arrive on device by respected dev pawitp
It is simple and elegant rom giving basic aosp feel as all other cm roms...not much of extra features...but light ,fast and simple..
2. Slimkat- rom by respected dev xenon92 ......slim roms are lightest roms always...which have fast and lightweight experience..
Carbon rom- another rom by respected dev Xenon92 for all of us....lets call it a good modified rom with stable and smooth run and in future will get halo features too..(hope u know what it is)..i haven't used it but users agree that its is one of best rom if u want to run for ART purpose,battery life and upcoming features too...
Omni rom- k2wl's rom...developer always known for outnumbered contributions for galaxy grand community amazed everyone ..AGAIN.by porting this rom..simply awesome as i am using it..
Got multiwindow as one of key features..and many more in setting options..(see OP if u want to know more)...
Probam rom-another rom by k2wl....this is heaviest rom present by today's date...it is rom with highest customizations available ..
Halo/multiwindow..blur lockscreen...active display...and many key features.. But as it got features...so are the features not perfectly integrated to be true vch leads to small bugs...and will be fixed by following updates ....

hi all im having rooted s3 stock rom and kinda battery goes down faster than usual.ive found safe to remove list of apps and little scare to do something..im thiking if there is any stock stripped rom kitkat so i donthave to worry about anything??

Why not try flashing the Debloat tool after doing a backup of your current setup. That way if you don't like the result you can restore it. Or, a novel idea, post this question in the thread you found the list in...
