Download flashtool software, drivers needed can be found inside drivers folder. Just install the driver.

And? How do I install a custom kernel? To flash the kernel i have to be in fastboot mode :S but my crappy w7 makes a sound like *du-du-du* and not *du-di!* like when you connect an usb cable
To flash a custom kernel, you use the android sdk. Copy the boot.img to the same folder as fastboot.exe fire up a command prompt. Hold back on device and connect usb cable, then type "fastboot flash boot boot.img into the prompt.

doesn't work, I hold back and plug in the phone, but it's flash mode; and when i type fastboot flash boot boot.img it just says < waiting for device > and after around 50 sec it exit from flash mode what am i doing wrong?
hold down the search button when turning on...
search button for fastboot mode and back button for flashmode. Use gordongate drivers if you intend to flash. They are supplied with the the flashtool package.
i've installed gordon's gate drivers and the pc recognize the phone in flash mode but fastboot mode still not working
here's the log, first i tried with flash mode and then with fastboot mode but it says error:

Are you running Windows 7, I had a nightmare with the usb drivers-even the Gordon gate one didn't work-I found the solution in the arc forum, sorry but I can't find the post I think users name was lollylops, check your device manager to see if you have s1boot driver problem if so then you need the different drivers

no offence but i've already unlocked my bootloader with test point
Unfortunately I have the memory of a goldfish, I think that you have to put the phone into fastboot then goto device manager on the pc and update the drivers for s1boot by pointing to where you have put the drivers,

I had a nightmare with this, it seems some versions of Windows 7 are fussy with certain fastboot drivers, it sound like the op is struggling the same way I did, I was close to giving up until I came across drivers that worked

Ok i managed how to install them through device manager. I select the folder but it says (translated to english) : "Device's driver has been found, but an error occurred during the installation. Android ADB Interface - Impossible to find the specified file. WHAT!?
EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED here's how: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1299729 i dowloaded drivers from here and they worked but now i've some QUESTIONS:
1)With unlocked bootloader (i kept drm certificates) and root, can i update trough OTA?
2)Now i'm going to flash doomlord kernel: has it the recovery integrated?

I think you would be safer flashing firmware from here, ota will, probably brick your own.
Doomlord kernel has got recovery, after installing boot up and when the doomlord picture appears
Keep tapping the back button

Need Fastboot drivers for Arc S. Mulitupload link dead!

As topic says. The Multiupload link for the drivers no longer works. I need the Fastboot drivers for the Arc S LT18i.
Thanks!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCkmu-odbkQ&feature=plcp
there are two .zips "drivers" and "fastboot_with_Android_USB_file"
I have tried so many versions of the ADB driver and I always get a yellow exclamation mark in device manager and Fastboot does not see the device.
Any help on this appreciated as without it I cannot get Fastboot flashing which is needed for some things.
EDIT: Nevermind I got it working.
this is the most advanced adb driver installer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24883071#post24883071 that will automatically install drivers into your pc (it's an exe file)

[TUT]Guide to Flashtool, Flashmode, Fastboot driver installation and flashing[TUT]

Creating this thread because too many threads are being created about problems being faced while flashing via flashtools and most of the times because of improper drivers
This is gonna be a small thread
Note: This is not an unbricking thread, for that visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1849170
This will help you get back to stock or whatever you wish to flash via flashtools
Things you need
1. Flashtool(Latest version should be good enough)
2.Proper Stock ROM (Meant for your phone){You flash improper ROM and you might have a very expensive paperweight}
3.Your device of course
Symptoms of having improper drivers.
1.Everything is going fine and flashtool asks you to connect your phone in flashmode/fastboot mode. You connect it and green/blue light stays for a few seconds and *poof* back to red led
2. You get a notification - Error installing SEMC Flash driver
3. You connect your phone but flashtool doesnt detect(either bricked/driver problem)
OK, Now First thing you should know about installing fastboot/ADB drivers
Know your PC's configuration. Many people try to install 32 bit drivers onto 64 or vice-versa..First thing you should know is that 32bit softwares don't work on 64 bit(be it any software)
Now if you get any of the above symptoms
1. Know your PC's config(Windows version,32 bit or 64 etc)
2. Now you have two ways to install drivers
-Yourself
-Or let flashtool do it for you
I will focus on letting flashtool install your drivers.
-First, navigate to folder and execute drivers.exe : Flashtool\Drivers\Drivers.exe
-Now connect your device(normal mode) and select your phone model from the checkbox list
-Once done, check flashmode from the same checkbox list and fastboot from same checkbox list
-Let it finish
Now for Windows 8 and 8.1, you have to disable driver signature enforcement
Wont take the credit from the OP of the method so please check out this post if you are on windows 8 or 8.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095087
Now if you'd rather install the drivers yourself, you can download pdanet and install or just search through the forum, plenty of guides here...
>Now just open flashtool
>Click on the flashing option(The bolt sign)
>Select the firmware
>Choose option flashmode or fastboot mode
Note : Select fastboot only if you have an unlocked bootloader
>Now when it prompts just connect you phone in flashmode or fastboot mode(depending upon what you selected
Note : Remember : fastboot mode is blue LED light while flashmode is green LED light
>Once it detects your phone, it should automatically start flashing
>Once flashing completes, disconnect phone and Enjoy....
Cheers..

Install this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
Install this - http://www.flashtool.net
After Flashtool installs, go to drivers folder, (in flashtool folder), and run drivers.exe. check boxes for 'fastboot' 'flash mode' and 'Rhine' drivers. When done installing drivers, connect phone in fastboot mode, and you'll get a 'installing device software' popup. Click on 'skip Windows update search', and drivers will install. Then run fastboot commands.

Question Waiting for any device

Updated to May via OTA sideload. Now trying to flash the patched boot all I get is "waiting on device". Please no simple answers like reboot or try new cable. Been there,,, Windows 11.
Make sure your adb binaries are up to date. Download the latest tools from the sdk and try again.
Solved it. Had to follow the bellow guide.
