I have samsung galaxy s3 sgh-i747m
Installed slimbean custom ROM with slim gapps and also the universal slimbean complete that I got from.the ICSbluethemes category from the website everything is working fine except for one thing
When I get an incoming call and the person who is calling me is not saved to my contacts then the name is all messed up(see picture )
Now this is a huge problem for me because I need to know whose calling me so I was wondering if any of you have this problem or know a fix for it
Thanks in advance
I couldn't find that ics blue theme you were mentioning. I looks like you may have downloaded the incorrect gapps. It also could have been a bad download. I would try downloading the 3.1 gapps again.

Hey thanks for the quick reply will definitely install the latest gapps
Also this is where I downloaded the theme
slimroms.net/index.php/downloads/all/viewcategory/64-icsbluethemes
i flashed the ROM again and also updated the gapps still had same problem if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know thanks..
I'm using slimbean ROM along with inverted gapps. Both versions 3.1 and I have the exact same problem. Contacts in my phonebook show up fine. It is the network feature that displays the name of the caller who isn't in my contacts that is the problem.
I'm on Rogers network

I downgraded down to a rogers stock 4.0.4 rom(was previously on the newly released 4.1.1 stock rom). Then I flashed it with slimbean 3.0 and inverted slimgapps 3.0 and name display works fine.
Formatted and wiped cache, etc.. and this time flashed with slimbean 3.1 and inverted slimgapps 3.1 and name display also works fine.
I think if you use slimbean in conjunction with a stock 4.1.1 rom, name display will not work.

thx.
I had this problem on CM10. But that was a CM10 problem, not phone related. As for CM9, I dunno..

Yeah. I have baseband: S5660MUGKG3
My model is: GT-S5660M
I think the only Google Voice that work on ICS, was on CM9 only...
(But the new changelog says that Google Voice works for both CM9 & CM10, now.)
So I upgraded from CM10.0 stable to CM10.1 monthly 2 yesterday night and everything seems pretty good. However, I tried to download Dashclock widget from the google play store yesterday, yet it says that my Galaxy SIII is incomptabile.
What should I do to fix this? In case it helps, I did a dirty flash. Didn't wipe 10.0 and just installed 10.1 over it.
Android Version: 4.2.2
CM Version: 10.1 (m2 - d2att)
Phone: Galaxy SIII Bell

You can attempt to do a clean wipe install, however I suspect its just not compatible with the new version of JB. CM10 was 4.1.2 and CM10.1 is 4.2.2. So its very possible the developer has not updated their app to include the new version of JB

Thanks everyone. Will try it.
Did the clean install solve your problems?
I'm experiencing a problem with Dashclock incompatibility, where the web version of the Play Store says it's compatible with my phone, but the Play Store on my device says it's incompatible. If I click install via web, nothing happens on my phone.
CM10.1
Custom DPI (but using patched play store)
854x480
Edit: apk installation from file explorer works fine, found this download link: http://www38.zippyshare.com/v/90618241/file.html
dashclock incompatibility
i have cyanogenmod 10.2( android 4.3.1) and im having the same issue where i can install it but cant open it.
i understand u cant use dashclock in cyanogen mod, but if u cant use dashclock is there any substitute for showing your notifications on your clock screen on cyanogenmod?
Hey guys,
I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I've searched on the forums and on Google with no luck. Recently, my sound stopped working on my GSIII running CarbonRom 1.6. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, it just stopped working one day. Also when I'm in a call, the person on the other line cannot hear me. I've checked the sound settings numerous times and have made sure that I am not in silent mode.
I have tried other 4.2.2 ROMs and they all have produced the same result. I have also tried a factory reset and formatted data in TWRP. I reverted back to stock and have noticed that the sound seems to work when I'm not running 4.2.2 ROMs. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I really prefer the look and feel of vanilla Android and I'm really bummed out that 4.2.2 ROMs seem to kill sound. Thanks.

That's an easy questiion, like I have been saying all along none of the cm10/aosp/aokp or ported roms
are ready for prime time, they are good for those who want to experiment with a few features not found
in stock t999 4.1.1 Touchwiz Jellybean roms. None of the cm/aosp/aokp roms even have the Wifi calling feature.
That's why after trying all the aosp/aokp/CM and ported roms I have come to the conclusion above.
So unless you like experimentation only flash T-Mobile T999 stock 4.1.1 Touchwiz Jellybean roms
or any of the custom roms which are based on T-Mobile T999 Touchwiz v4.1.1 Jellybean stock rom.
The best custom T999 T-Mobile Touchwiz Jellybean 4.1.1 based rom in my opinion
is the Wicked v9.1 custom rom, check it out you won't be disappointed.
Good Luck!
You could always try to flash your 4.2.2 Tim of choose and choose not to restore Google backup, Google backs up settings. If it works without setting up your account then go from there.

Hi,
The apps that force close are Black**** alpha, Apto*** and Tunein radio pro.
They all used to work (except for Apto*** which I installed recently) before rooting my phone and flashing a new rom.
I can still use them but I have to click very quickly on something to load in Apto*** for example an app or a picture, or click very quickly the live chart or something like that in Tunein radio pro, or browse quickly in Black****, then if I use them for a few moments they'll close again or the app will restart itself.
I tried reinstalling Tunein radio pro and black**** (and clearing their data) with no luck. I also tried fixing the permissions in CMW when the problem only happened with Tunein radio pro but it didn't work.
Is there a way to fix that or to troubleshoot it? (I recently heard about logcat but I never used it)
Thanks.
(Using LG Nitro HD with CM10.1.3 rom and wind kernel.)
What rom were you using when the apps worked? What rom were you using when they FC?

I was using the original ICS 4.0.4 when all was working fine. And now I am using Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 (latest stable one).
Since you're already running CM10.1, you might want to try the latest Avatar ROM which is also based on CM10.1 to see if that helps.
Personally, I am running Avatar ROM with Wind 2.6 kernel and haven't had any issues.

But I really like the stock android look of CM and I don't want to replace it by the Avatar rom or any other rom plus I am not a pro rom flasher. And this doesn't guarantee fixing my issues...
Avatar ROM looks exactly like CM10.1. You just need to choose the System theme.
It's your choice but I find Avatar to be faster and better on battery life than CM10.1.3.
