Considering this is the "Sprint" model, i say SOG... OG is just to generic for this device and we certainly don't want it getting confused with the over styled AT&T version. lol.

Amen overstyled bulky and underpowered. Lol accept we dont seem to have pinch to zoom in messaging and att software dose.weird. by the way update zv9 is done and will be sent out soon but its still ICS. dang looks like december timeline will be wrong ...of course

I was on original software ....rooted. ..then updated to zv8 while superSU pro with keep root setting. Worked like a charm hope id does when zv9 is released. Sucks its still ICS. Hope its the fix for brightness dim when it thinks 87° is hot lol

It was in the leak for the Epic 4G for Gingerbread Value Pack not the 4G Touch. As datajosh said we will be getting it for ICS no point in them wasting time on writing the feature or porting it for ours its coming.

I know on the Tmobile GS2 you could just use Titanium Backup and freeze "tethering provision." Might check and see if that file is the note as well.
Try to change the profile to nexus gsm or generic ics jb wan0 thats what worked for galaxy s3 might wanna give it a try

I tried to freeze and uninstall Tethering Provision but now Hot Spot in settings just FC's

I am feeling the same.... So far the Sprint variant already has Clean Rom and Triangle Away support and it came out a day after ours... They look to be ahead of the game in development for sure! I really don't know why, cause Sprint is probably the WORST carrier I have ever tried... But I guess that does not really matter to devs.. I just want Mobile Odin and Triangle Away support and definitely a REAL rom.... But patience is a virtue and I learned that WELL in the Army!

i don't think any tether apps are working for JB yet. I tried some of the JB touchwiz leaked on my galaxy s3, none of the apps worked (you guys can head over to tmobile s3 forum, alot of ppl asking the same questions about tethering on JB.). Went back to ICS then tether apps worked again.

agreed. remember that our phone has been out a whole 2 days. and since its tmobile it limits the number of devs on xda that have tmobile too.
give it time, the community will start a hopping prob this weekend, hell what will us phone geeks do on the weekend but hack our phones? hehe

Ya I am not bothered as I have an International version also to fulfill my crackflashing addiction but I want my HSPA+ (and multview).... WOW! That's great now is this confirmed working? Wait a minute.. that's great but we need the tethering to start before we can do that. All I know is that on an TouchWiz 4.1 Jelly Bean Tethering won't start... It just won't.
I used it yesterday.. and just used it again to verify. 1-click tether on the market.. it's free(unsecured). Works like a chicken and you know how well chickens work! DIY Phone Gadgets is the default name for the network.
I'm so excited about the potential of my GN2 multitasking abilities. I can't wait until T-Mobile gives us the update.

Yes. Coming soon is not soon enough! The full screen popup is nice. You can also use the app hovernote to do something similar. Check out the nice work being done for the N7000 to include multiwindow features of galaxy note tablet. Hopefully this will also be made available on GN2

I'm thoroughly enjoying Jedi-X V1, Might flash V2 this weekend, or wait for Jedi Master 4 which will add wifi calling. These are based on a Chinese ROM. Also should see some good work from Cyanogen since Samsung is doing a good job of releasing source. Almost like having a Nexus!
Just thought I would share this, someone managed to mess with the firmware and turn a AT&T LG Optimus G into a Nexus 4.

Against all odds I did it lol!!! I couldn't help the urge man but it works, couple things don't right now like the camera, rotation is backwards, led flash don't work either. IMA keep playing wit it for now tho, put a cm 10.1 nightly on it so I'll post more findings tomorrow

It was fast man, even snappier then it seems on OG firmware but i had to come back, couple things didnt work that i couldnt do without like nfc, camera and flash, and my rotation was backwards so here i am we should be getting the jb kernel source any day now so we'll get cm 10.1 real soon

Both phones are amazing. You can't go wrong wrong either way. The only cons I can think of is AT&T locking down the Ones boot loader and the GSIV possibly not getting official Cyanogenmod support.

because it is not really the next big thing.... The HTC one is awesome, and people *****ing about locked boot loaders... That's only att. You can even get a developer edition. Best phone out at the moment no doubt. Gs4 is disappointing really, same old cheap plastics, same blend design...

In the GSIVs defense, its amazing compared to the s3. Its much better all around, with hardware that more than doubles the US GSIII variants and a design much more reminiscent to the Note 2 than the GSIII. The One is amazing too. Don't know about the build quality anomolies though.. the GSIV may be plastic but it sure doesn't have build quality issues like the HTC One.
