A very noob question from someone who has been away from the scene since the I9000. Is the PIT file t03g_0907 the same for all varients of the Note 2. Specifically for me the N7105?
May seem basic but I cannot seem to find any info on this at all.
65 views and not one reply? Is it a ninja question lol

Well seeing as this seems to have been the hardest question ever asked by the total lack of replies. I took the plunge and used the pit file. It does work.

Hey guys i have been having some real trouble working with sgs2 its a real pain now...I have a corrupted hard disk and its write protected doesn't allow to flash anything and i have tried every damn procedure even pushing it through the adb but the administrator does not allow to read it. I can flash nothing on it and the worst part is i cant even brick it even through odin. My friend who is a developer himself and works at telus wasnt able to do anything himself...Tried that even.. The phone is rooted and running Juggernaut 5.0 along with darkside kernel. It has been almost two months now since this problem has persisted...Is there any way i can brick my phone like hard brick that the phone does not turn on or just show black screen i want to get it replaced still have warranty..i paid 590 bucks for this phone and cant even sell it since i cant erase the memory. Please help me out with it.
Thanks
You've posted this same problem twice before. Posting it a third time isn't gonna help you.

Well he still has not received help. Why would you make a ****ty post like that. Help the guy or don't post.

If you want to brick it flash an Odin kernel package from different phone.
Edit: I missed that you tried Odin already on my first read through.
Really strong magnets, maybe?

You can brick your device by flashing junk to the sbl1 block

Well i did receive answers and they were very supportive as well but it did not solve the problem and to be honest i did not even know the nature of the phone until now. I believe it would not harm anyone.
I just need a little help and i will be willing to donate as well.
Damn, still? That sucks dude!

I accidentally flashed a pit file in Odin which I think was made for a Galaxy Vibrant, my other phone.
The phone wont boot at all. When I plug it into the computer, the computer makes noise like it registers it though. The normal 'ding' sound followed by an error-like sound.
Is there any fix?

And I want you to know that I was laughing at Rushing's comment, not your dilemma. I'm sorry you bricked your phone. If this does not get moved to the Q&A section soon, you may want to ask the question again there. I'm sure someone will chime in there with helpful comments, even if it's just to confirm that you need a new phone. I've never had to deal with more than a soft brick, so I'm not sure if a jig will help you or not.

You screwed your phone. You flashed a vibrant file on a T989. I've done this mistake when I was a super noobie thinking a "galaxy s2" name applied to all of them and I flashed a I9100 on my T989. I enjoyed a night of disappointment before I was able to call and finally get my replacement sent (it was under 20 days, thank god!) if your not so lucky, your screwed. However if they will accept it and return it they wont question you at all as long as you are super-hard bricked and cant boot or get into download mode or anything.
If you happened to change the recovery via odin, which I think you did, for something that ain't xompatible with our phone, yes you're done.
Nothing can be done sadly

Hey guys, I was thinking just now that the community needs a GUIDE on how to back up the imei number of our beloved (lol), and expensive note 2's!
If anyone would be kind enough to post links to tools/toolkits that can be used and needed for the process and a detailed guide on how to do it, you would be doing all of us a great favor. Right now im not sure how to do it and firmly believe in keeping backups of anything important!
Thanks

You're welcome!
Was curious if anyone wants to port this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2079291? It's
[ROM]Emotion Note II v3 [DLL7] [4.1.2] [Update 08-01-13] Paf & Ivanebdesign
It has everything I could want in a stock ROM including the 23 toggle mod, center clock, 1% battery mod and so on.
Thats an N7100 rom
Could always do research and port it yourself.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018411
I did research and dont want to do it myself, thats why I posted. Get out. Thanks
O and obviously its an N7100 ROM hence the wording "port". I'm not a moron dude.
No need to be rude. You put 7105 in the thread title that's why I corrected you. I'll be sure to report this thread for disrespecting people who simply reply to your request and provide helpful links.
Have a great day.

OP I must say your comments...first good idea why not learn to port yourself there would be more benefits, like you learning something on a developers site.
And no one is calling you names Sir.

Im not at my computer right now, but the recommended method of rooting is:
The root toolkit. Its very easy to do bro. Just follow and read.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
To be a bit more clear.. There indeed can be many kinds of routes, some can reset your counter, and I believe some don't. Counter is a number that changes if you root your device so T-Mobile knows you messed with it. If your counter gets reset, they can't tell if you rooted or not.
I'm not on the T-Mobile network, so I didn't really care which. Head over to the developer section of this device category and read the thread by 'Simplelife' on how to root! Pick a method best for you. I personally used option 2.

Just picked up 2 of these T-Mo Note 2's last weekend. I just used the Galaxy Note2 ToolKit v3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957720 Just follow the on screen instructions, and make sure you read all the options. It wasn't as easy as unlocking and rooting my Nexus... but all I had to do is click one more option lol!
Thanks everyone for input. I used toolkit v3 and it worked flawlessly. Got root, recovery, and jedi x11. Friggin awesome.

I think the easiest method would be to flash TWRP and then flash superzu via TWRP.
