Rom manager cwm?

Has or does anyone use this for our phones ? Any issues ? I'm gettin ready to use it for cwm and know that it supports our phones so thanks in advance

Nowadays the rule of thumb is to never use ROM manager to install cwm unless its specifically stated to do so by devs for that particular model. I've seen it cause too many bricks. It may work but it may also brick u. U are better off using the recovery provided here.

Do a little digging next time, it was in the development forum.

Man I have dug it was just to solidify what you were talking about I have all those saved as favorites I just wanna get a consensus on what people are using and without a link how would I have known what you were talking about but thanks that's the route I'm contemplating

I am currently running TWRP to see if the IMEI goes missing using it. If so we can rule CWM out of possibilities.
Gotta say though, I am liking it more than CWM. Give TWRP a try. :laugh:

I heard that twrp doesn't support external SD. If it doesn't then I have no use for it cuz I have everything stored on ext SD. That's why I use cwm

My advice...read and research as much as u can before u pull the trigger. Secondly...make sure u know a way to recover if something goes wrong.

Yea I have been reading all these threads like always and have had and flashed a lot of things and even made a Rom or two on infuse lol never heard of this whole imei thing that's why I'm asking others it is not the lack of knowledge and reading it's a reassurance from others that are working ok

The file manager in TWRP see's my external SD. I am sure you can flash from it.
I only ever flash from internal though.

I came from infuse too and the individual thing scared me. Right now I have the opinion that if I am going to lose my imei I want to do it while I am still In the 30 day return period with best buy

Well, if you've checked the IMEI thread and read my posts I've done quite a lot today using TWRP. Even restored back to stock unrooted via Odin straight from JB AOKP. I'm not sure if it's how CWM does something with the partitions or what. I used TWRP because there weren't any reports, so I wanted to test and see.

An yes, ive seen a bunch of ppl working on 4.2. Its funny that its working on older phones ..guess that's what happens when you have time to figure it out huh...
Give it time, this **** doesn't happen overnight. If you want it done, start downloading github.com. good luck

Port this ROM from 7105?

Was curious if anyone wants to port this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2079291? It's
[ROM]Emotion Note II v3 [DLL7] [4.1.2] [Update 08-01-13] Paf & Ivanebdesign
It has everything I could want in a stock ROM including the 23 toggle mod, center clock, 1% battery mod and so on.

Thats an N7100 rom
Could always do research and port it yourself.

Why not pull the ics pandora apk from theme section.....and open both and compare the smali. .? Be easier and you'll be learning as well where to navigate and learn from the process. ..it can't be much different then the ice pandora apk....... I would open both up...and compare and see if they both have that slip xml or smali....and whatever the pandora is..copy it and change it on the one you like... once I get a laptop I'll try to help ya....my desktop broke and don't really have money for a new one to theme, , that's why I haven't been making anything. ..

I need a user from each of the following device to please join me in IRC so that we can get recovery images for other users to recover from hard bricks. I will credit those that help get these debrick images for other users in my OP.

I've been speaking with him about it. IIRC he's got some RL stuff going on and is flooded with PM's last week lol.

Believe it or not I don't have the T999L! Just the plain old original T999. I just jumped in on that stuff because I like getting in on that discovery phase for a new device. And it was closely related enough that I could apply much of what I already knew to help others.
I have put out a few requests for the dumps needed. But for some reason most people just don't want to do the little bit of legwork required I guess. I still can't even get a /system dump or pull for the T999N, though several have said they would do so. Can't provide em with a way back to stock without it.
Anyway, I've kinda run into the same issues for finding these dumps. Still trying though.

Need your service again... Looks like the 70M didn't contain enough to get it working. Would mind doing the same but with 128M? That is what the T999 took to get booted.

And I'm sorry to ask it of you, but if you are still currently stock, would you be willing to pull some stuff for me? I've been trying to find someone to do this so I can provide you guys with a way back to stock if needed. I did the same for the T999L if you want to check the thread in my Sig.
If you are willing, I can walk you through the process. Not too difficult at all.
