Safest to Odin back to el29 first

I think you can just Nandroid back (I haven't had trouble doing that before) but it might cause some problems. If you want the safest route, Odin back.
O ok... How bout mobile odin??

Here's what I did
Odin full restore back to stock, use sfhub's auto root, then add recovery, reboot to recovery, nandroid back to your GB ROM. Also you don't have the annoying yellow triangle.
Is mobile odin the same as odin??

Mobile Odin works. I just flashed a GB recovery/kernel combo and wiped from there. The bricks are coming from the use of using CWM bundled with an ICS kernel. If you do any flashing with a GB kernel/recovery, you'll be good to go.
Note: You wont be able to boot on ICS with a GB kernel, so just boot into recovery if you choose that route.

Only bricks I've seen are from using Rom Manager and the temp CWM Touch. Kernel Repacks are fine for going back and forth between GB and ICS.

To get GPS to work on ICS you have to get a lock on a EL29 Rom...I use the Blend...Ive gone from ICS to Recovery to Restore, to GB, get the Lock back to Recovery Restore ICS done deal...Have done it plenty of times...Never a problem...So you're tellin me I'm gonna Brick sooner or later...By usin this method but it never happened before...I'm using Rogue Recovery but not the Touch Recovery....:
I also never use Rom Manager...Never tried Mobile Odin...But I don't need it...

HOW are we taking risks? It's been clearly stated in several threads that the problem lies with RomManager and temp recoveries.. not with repacks.

Yes, Odin one of sfhub's one-click packages. I went from FC22 back to EL29 with no complications whatsoever.
Oh hell, missed the mobile Odin part. I still believe you can but you have to flash the modem separately, however please wait for a response from someone who actually has mobile Odin experience. Sorry about the miss.
No problem, anyone know if it is safe to do?

Yes, that is correct, mobile odin will flash the oneclick.exe files.
It won't flash cdma modems, but that is a generic issue not related to odin oneclick.
I may very well be wrong here, if so please let me know...
From my understanding it was only the ICS recovery (due to lack of kernel source) and touch recovery (due to being crappy) that were bricking phones.
For every leak I tried, i simply used mobile odin to flash rogue el29. then restored my backup...am I risking a brick with this method?
I keep seeing that in order to use a AOKP coming from ICS I need the EL26, is it possible to flash that on mobile Odin because when I did it a while back on regular Odin I kept getting the yellow triangle?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
You can flash in mobile ODIN or using Auto Root Option C
Neither will give you the yellow triangle.

You only need to flash the EL26 kernel with CWM. Then you can flash from there. If you don't like the triangle download this app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114 and run it.

I just found out mobile odin doesn't like FI22 or FI27. My guess is, since those are both ICS versions that mobile odin doesn't like ICS at all, but I could be wrong.
I want use mobile odin to flash agats kernel FK23(jb) from the current FI27 Agats recovery I am now, so I can flash a nandroid backup back, but with odin not working I cannot use mobile odin that way.
Mobile odin it says "Device Model not supported (or detected - check root)"
Any ideas?
Any help is appreciated.
LOL

+1 to mobile Odin
Your issue could be one of two things (assuming you have the correct drivers) either the version of Odin you're trying to use is outdated or your usb cable/port may not be functioning properly.
Just to verify, you're powering your phone off, holding power and volume down to enter download mode and selecting the option to flash a custom binary correct?
If yes, try another cable if you have one, or another usb port on your PC to rule out those factors. The yellow com port should light up letting you know you're connected.
Also try a newer version of Odin if you're not already running it.
If all else fails, mobile Odin is definitely worth the money:thumbup::beer:

You use it flash a safe recovery tar file then use that recovery to flash your new ROM and stock kernel.

I don't you can flash everything in one step with mobile odin pro.

If you're looking for stock unrooted gb08 you can use the full Tar file, but if you want a rooted custom ROM you need to flash a zip
