Hi all,
I am in the process of trying to compile a dual boot kernel for our Note 2.
I am using the Source code from the Siyah Kernel from the S3 to get the dual boot feature.
Can someone please tell me What the Partition Layout is for the Note 2? as its different from the S3.
Or can someone tell me how I find out what the Partition layout is?
Cheers
Corey

Hello guys,
On Galaxy Note N7000, i was using the Dual Boot Script from @chuandinh. With this script:
There was 5 slots (3 on extsdcard, 2 on intsdcard) and of course one normal phone rom. so it was possible to flash 6 different roms. And the kernels were modded to support dual boot script. that is the basic introduction.
The details and the script examples are on the official topic of chuandinh: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1748588
I was wondering if there is a dev which can give us a support like @chuandinh did on N7000 devices. It was really so amazing to switch between totally different roms just in seconds.
P.S. I hope that I out this thread on the right Forum
I'd love dual boot too... I just got a Note 2 and gave my S3 to my wife^^
Only think I miss so far is dual booting!
HI guys
Just got my LTE Note II yday.
I see lot of development on the N7100 but very few for the N7105.
Is anyone aware if it is possible to flash a mod that was made for the N7100 on the N7105?
I am specifically looking for a mod to change the DPI on my N7105.
Any pointers or links will be appreciated
I want to build a rom and i am still a noob when it comes to this. Have alot of expreience with linux so I want to make an attempt in make a rom. I have read many guides and just have some questions. How do i get the proprietary drivers for the galaxy note 2? I have downloaded the source code for the international version but dont know if that it compatible with the hardware. If there is a guide on how to do this i would apreciate a link  . Also i realize that some of these source codes come with things like a bootloader and recovery. How would remove this so that it doesnt flash over my current recovery? Any help would be appreciated.
I've seen some videos of somebody using Siyah Kernel to dual boot on the S3. As far as I know, this kernel only works on the international version. I was just wondering if it would be possible to use a Rom Manager of sorts to boot between 2 different roms such as Stock Touchwiz and CM 10.1. I've already flashed CM before but it's a pain to switch between Touchwiz and CM by having to restore everything everytime.
Thanks

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1767144 to use it for cm10+ you need to modify the updater-script. There's additional details in the thread
Hi, I recently joined XDA to get information about how to install or modify custom roms.
I firstly tried to search before making this thread, but I couldn't get exact information that I wanted. (Or, my searching was crap..)
I'm very new to Android (was using iPhones), so I would be very appreciated if you can help starting from basic knowledge.
Device Type - Samsung Galaxy Note II
Model Number - SGH-T889V
Android Version - 4.4.2
Baseband Version - T889VVLUDNH2
Kernal Version - 3.0.31-1736364
Build Number - KOT49H.5889VVLUDNH2
Carrier - WIND Mobile
1.
What is the most stable Custom ROM for my device?
I saw Cyanogen, MIUI, OMNI, etc.
However, I couldn't select anything since I didn't know whether they support my device or not.
2.
Can you help me to find information about installing them? (from #1 question)
3.
I saw that Note 2 can have Note 3 or 4 roms.
I want to know the difference between note 2 and note 4 roms. (like more stable, fast, compatible, etc)
4.
I saw that my device could be locked by WIND.
How can I check if it's locked without getting new SIM card?
5.
Also, I saw T889 and T889V have different modem.
If I flash T889 modem, I wouldn't go back to T889V modem, is this correct?
If so, what do I have to do prior to flashing ROM and modem?
If you need more information, I can definitely provide them, so feel free to tell me!
Thanks to whoever would help me.
