I want the best stock rom.
I have no idea what's good.
They're all fast, so I want the best battery life and feature rich.
Ben
Completely subjective and, as such, impossible to answer. Go try them all and make up your own mind

There is no "best" ROM. I suggest you take some time to read the OP's in the dev section and make your own mind up, based on your personal needs.

Pretty much everything but ICS and JB and MIUI. Take a look in the developers section, there are many in there that tell you what works etc......
Hmm... You need to read the Q&A up to the third or so page. This question of yours has been asked multiple times and people keep flooding the forum with the same questions.
Do research before you ask questions, because its there. Click the top right (search) bar and search all forums. Simple.
I will tell you what I tell every single person on which Rom is the best for the Evo4G.
The most minimalistic and simplicity would be KushDecks GINGERBREAD (2.3.7)
Was my most favorite GB Rom available for the OG EVO 4G. Everything works.
That is all.
Thank you.
There is no 'best ROM' ... this thread will get closed shortly. All it does it make devs jealous and makes people argue.
Closed, there is no such thing as a "best" rom, try them and find out for yourself.
I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on roms that are really good on battery life. Preferably Touch Wiz roms with Wifi calling. My current Rom is the DarthStalker rom. Initially I was on stock but wanted to switch to something else. That's when I noticed my battery was draining faster.
There is no BEST and yet they are all the BEST. Members are expected to research and read through the development threads before altering their device. The only thing you will get here is a list of all the ROM's because every member has found what is best for them. You can get the same list by looking at the first few pages in development.

Have a great day!
Hi guys, so I just got an S3 i747 AT&T coming from iPhone 4s.
I already have it rooted and would like to load a room as close to stock as possible. I really liked the Moto X however, the camera was terrible... I would like to get that experience..
What's most important to me is battery life. I would like to get the most batteyr life possible. Can someone recommend a rom? I was thinking one of the Cyanogenmod ROMs. I thought that 10.2 version is the stable one but it seems that only 10.1 is stable? Would appreciate some advice.
This should be in the Q&A section.
New ROM suggestion threads tend to get closed very quickly around here by the moderators, as there have been entirely too many that often turn into "what's the best ROM, or just pit one ROM against another.
You should always look in the development section, as there are plenty of ROMs there that you might like. Also, every phone is different, so what might work great on one phone might not work the same on yours. You have plenty of Roms in the development section that you can try, so that you can determine whats the best ROM for you. Just read up on them before flashing and follow their directions, and you should be OK.

Thanks so much. I didn't realize this was against the forum rules...
There are so many roms there! I was just asking in terms of battery life or which one you would suggest for someone coming from an iPhone platform.

Android is definitely not iPhone. As far as best battery life refer to the advice given. Try various ROMs that look appealing to you until you find one that is acceptable on your terms.

Quantum ROM would be the best for your battery buddy.
Well, as previously stated, users are expected to do their own research and make their own determination as to what rom is best for them.
All the roms here are the best, try them all.

Happy New Year guys.
Recently there have been such threads about best ROM popping up again:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593315
I would like to remind you that such threads are NOT ALLOWED[\b] here on XDA because:
- Each user will want a different Android experience. Therefore every user will have a different opinion on what ROM they will use.
- The phone belongs to the user. It is your phone and you yourself will determine which ROM suits you best. It's not up to me or any other dev to tell you what is best for you.
- Don't be lazy. Instead of having one hundred users tell you about a certain ROM, trying it out yourself will let you decide if it suits you or not. If you install a ROM based on what other users say, you may not like the ROM because it lacks a certain function or does not meet up to your expectations. Also, reading up on relevant material can help you decide if you want to use the ROM. So, head down to the Development section, pick a few ROMs and read up on the relevant content before making a decision.
- Discrediting other dev's work. A lot of you will agree that LX and Jader make good ROMs, but what happens to the other devs? Some of them put in effort to compile a ROM. Although there are not as many users of that ROM, the dev still did it in his free time and without pay. Telling one user that this ROM is better than the other is disrespectful to the dev because he put in effort for his work, only for someone to tell him that it cannot compare to another ROM.
Please take your time to read this. I would also like to thank the guys who have read it already and to help spread the word to the other users.
Cheers, 日焼け。一郎

I think DU is the best rom out there I've been using it for a while now, a lot of features in this rom. I hope some day I get to learn more on how to create my own.
We are glad you found a rom you like, but we can not allow this thread to stay open as it is considered a "best rom" thread. All a thread like this does is cause problems between users arguing which is the best rom. Thank you for understanding.
