How do you mount a isb storage like usb on the go to our HoX ?
sent from outer-space using HoX
On jb you simply plug it in. You can then access it in /mnt/usb
If it's formatted ntfs then you need an app like stickmount

It is simple with HOX on JB. Buy an OTG USB cable and connect your USB to HOX.
Remember to safety remove (Setting --> USB Storage) before remove your USB.

In case I have both proper cable and memory card or usb storage device , what more do I need?
Any applications to mount / unmount memory card may be needed?
How am I supposed to manage it? With root explorer would be fine?

You need an app since Android won't mount a USB OTG device automatically. Try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEsImV1LmNoYWluZmlyZS5zdGlja21vdW50Il0.

question is , how to make it work ? just same way as plug the USB storage device ?
as the USB storage device needs this applications , mouse or keyboard do not requires it ?
Mouse and keyboard do not require apps or drivers, just plain work. Plug otg cable into mouse or keyboard directly or through a hub. Easy.
I haven't succeeded in making a USB DVD usable from my gnex, but that is just silly so I didn't try very hard.

Hi,
I would just like to ask if there is a app that will enable the OTG NTFS flash drive? btw, my phone is not rooted and I'm wondering if there is an app for non-rooted device to enable OTG NTFS drives.
Thanks,
Doesn't OTG support NTFS by default? Or is it limited to FAT32? I read that NTFS drives can be recognized properly.
I tried last night my OTG cable connected to my HOX and my 32GB NTFS Flash disk and it's not detected. It says Blank USB.... So I wonder If I need an app or there is an app to support NTFS Flash Drives to connect to HOX via OTG cable?
Thanks
I use usb otg helper for my ntfs 2tb external hdd. I haven't tried it with a ntfs flash drive, I'd imagine it would work though.
edit: I don't recall it asking for root.

U have to be rooted.
so maybe there are no app that can make it without rooting. all of it needs root access.
An ext3 formated drive might work.

NTFS problems
Hi,
there is a simple solution to work with NTFS and 64GB cards. When your phone is rooted, install the app Paragon NTFS&HFS+. After installation you can read/write your NTFS volume.

Been trying to mount a usb hard disk and usb stick but no luck.

Using FAK kernel 1.3.6 and yes using Y cable, usb hub, keyboard, mouse, gamepad all working.
I'm also forced to reboot after using otg else I cannot charge or access files on the phone.
Does that mean you can now access your USB storage devices?

No - other devices work fine. but not usb storage devices.
Even rebooting does not allow me to access or mount usb storage devices.
If i have a usb storage device connected and I reboot some random apps disappear... until I disconnect otg and reboot again.
Im using usb otg helper app to connect to usb hdd using usb otg .i can read and copy from hdd to phone but cannot copy from phone to hdd ..when i try to copy it says permission denied ...plz help on this.

Stock file browser!
If you did not root your device, you cannot do file operations by using other file browsers except stock one! Instead of using otg connection, which I prefer, connect both to a computer then do your operations! Since kk android does not allow 3rd party file browsers to operate over the files in the secondary memory drives, you need to root your phone to use 3rd party file browsers; otherwise you have to use stock file browser!
Thanks brother ..but my phone is already root ...problem is i can copy from hdd to mobile using otg cable ...but cannot copy from phone to hdd ..im not using pc ..its through otg cable
