I'm thinking of buying an additional charger with cable and headset as a backup; possibly for primary use. What are your experiences with buying OEM-products from ebay. Are they really OEM; or knock-offs. Please judge the following links below and let me know; thanks in advance.
Are these accessories original?

Those are the wrong Chargers for the Note 2, The Note II is a 2 amp charger but the headphones are pretty much the same thing... who really cares if they're "authentic" Samsung, they're made with a bunch of other $1-2 ones,,,
I buy the $1-2 headphones over ebay because i always end up using them or the little bulbs that go in your ears... as for chargers, I bought a car charger about 2 years ago and it's still working to this day.. Not OEM though...

BS. Those are all OEM. The first usb cable and cube is from the last gen of galaxy devices (galaxy sII, original Note) The headphones are from the current generation of galaxy devices as is the last charger. I have had nothing but good experiences with eBay items, it's really on the consumer having a keen eye for spotting fakes.

I was referring to the quality of OEM earbuds... hence the quote, and by extension, all OEM accessories (that come in the box) are all fairly bad, they may look nicer, but they're not meant as standalone products and it shows in the quality.
Especially earbuds... those, you should look into getting some aftermarket ones...
can someone post a ebay link to the original oem charger that comes with the note 2. I can't seem to find it.

The accessory I am most looking forward to for the HTC Thunderbolt is the multimedia dock.
I love my desktop dock for the Nexus One and will definitely be getting the multimedia dock when it is released.
Does anyone know the timeline for release for the dock?
I will believe it exists when I see it. IIRC, there was supposed to be a dock for the incredible too. No links for sale at VZW, Amazon, or Best Buy. With the usb on the side, this is a much needed accessory and is keeping me on the sidelines. Oh, that and root/S-OFF. And it appears the battery life is still an issue. My incredible gets me through the day, but was about 4-6 hours when it was new/stock. Hopefully the thunderbolt will only get better.

Its listed in the accessories section of the Verizon website. Well, it was listed on my corporate discount page anyway.
Not seeing it on vzw.com in accessories or via search.
Search for: thunderbolt dock
No results found for your search.
Can anyone post a screen shot of it from their corporate purchasing site? This phone has been coming soon for months, so it really doesn't make much sense not to sell the dock on the release date.
http://shop.htcpedia.com/htc-thunderbolt-desktop-charging-dock.html
its on htcpedia but not available yet. I want this bad boy also!
No screenshots just yet. Still at work. $60 regular price. $45 for me with discount.

same here, local storeS lol, yes stores are outta the extended battery and never got media docks!
havent found anywhere to get the dock yet.
when I got the og droid they had combo pack with car dock and mutimedia dock all for 50 bucks hope they do that with the thunderbolt
Doubt that will happen considering the price for the Dock by itself is more than $50.
I got the car dock for free along with one of those double cases, screen protectors and cleaning wipes, and a car charger when I got my TB..
bought a dock for my og droid and barely used it tho...never used the car mount either. wont be getting a dock for the TB..
blablablablabla
So they just gave you $50 in accessories for free?

I'm wondering about the connectivity options for this Multimedia Dock - can it provide a TV out connection for example?
It's not easy to find out and I have tried to search high and low to find something about the connectivity - the name Dock implies that it also offers the possibility to hook it up to an external stereo or TV set etc.
It would be greatly appreciated if someone has a link to more information about this product.
That would be great

I know, it's pretty silly isn't it? Not only are there no accessories out that use it, but apparently from what I read the charge isn't even enough to sustain the phone while it's on. Definitely a big dropped ball. There's really no excuse for that on a flagship phone.
Seriously!
I sure thought long and hard about the Razor because Moto "Puts out" when it comes to accessories and the Lapdock looks pretty promising if they get the bugs out of the new one.
There are plenty of issues to be irritated about with this phone (flaky data connection anyone?) and I have managed to keep my disappointment tempered since with 4.0.4 coming (SOON DAMMIT!) it should solve a lot of them but thank you for reminding me of another
May I suggest waiting another 11 days for the car dock?

And... another 12 days for the home dock?

I made my own cradle charger out of wood just so I could have one.
It appears the POGO pins only accept max of .5A, so it charges pretty slow. I use it as my overnight charger.
If you were using a car dock with GPS running, it won't sustain it at all, given that 1A chargers barely keep up if you're running nav.
I do want to say that I am really unhappy with the lack of accessories for it as well as the fragmentation of having two galaxy nexus form factors to deal with, which further reduces the desire for 3rd party accessory makers to look at making stuff for our phone. I feel like Samsung really blew it with this one.

It's entirely Samsung, nothing to do with Google. They built the phone. Unless of course, VZ actually said - our phone has to be a different form factor, in which case they can die in a fire.
Someone at Samsung with some common sense should of said, gee golly, maybe we should just thicken up the GSM version half a mm, throw in a bigger battery and everyone would be happy.
I was expecting this to happen...

I would love to get this but $89.99 is highway robbery. Looks great though and thanks for the heads up.
Dock is in stock now. Just ordered mine. FWIW the shipping is free... Agree that $90 is steep but there are still no other POGO options for i515 that I've seen.
Now all I need is the POGO car dock...
Not that GSM version is any cheap also, but you pay for a really high quality made accessory, any original accessory cost more than aftermarket..

The pogo pins are for charging and audio out... no reason to suspect this would allow for data transfer without pins analogous to D+ and D-. Samsung even lists it as being merely a charger in the spec sheet.

DIY if you just want a charging dock without audio out, it's real easy to make, made my in 2-3 hours.
Of course if you DIY, you can't throw abuse it it, it's gona break faster than the original Samsung one, but it works
Any confirmation of it working with the OEM extended battery and back?
mine will show up in about 24 hours. I have the OEM 2100ma extended battery and will post results as soon as I know them. Based on posters who bought this dock back in Feb when it was first introduced, I expect it will fit w/o issues.
Can anyone confirm whether plugging an MHL adapter to the micro-USB output on the dock will provide one with video output?
This guys says yes, but I'd like to hear from others to believe it:
http://www.careace.net/2012/02/22/verizon-galaxy-nexus-desktop-dock-accessory-now-available/
Ok, I am a little bit ticked off right now.
I had a Nexus One. When I bought the N1 dock, it came very nicely packaged and with its own power cable AND audio cable. Its cost felt justified.
So, since I got my Galaxy Nexus I decided to order the dock for it.
I just got the dock (after waiting a week when it was 2 day shipping), I open the package and I pull out the cheapest flimsiest packaging ever. I pull out the dock (which does feel solid), and THAT'S IT! There is NO power cable and NO audio cable included. $68.xx for a freaking dock with NO cables.
I seriously feel like I've been ripped-the-****-off here.
I know their site says no audio cable included... so whatever, but to not include the charger either... that's pretty damn ****ty in my opinion.
I just thought I would vent here since I had not seen this mentioned any where else before.
Damn. At least throw in a cable!
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
Definitely! At least the car dock came with a lighter socket charger. I guess Samsung though it wasn't necessary/wanted to cheap out since we already have one from our phones. I'm more irritated by the fact that there's no way to manually turn off the screen when docked.
I thought the same thing when I opened my dock... I also had the nexus one and the dock... At least we got a second charger with that...
At least you can seek solace in the fact that the LTE dock is, for all intensive purposes, the same exact dock... for $90 and there still aren't any cables included. I actually bought the GSM dock for mine and sanded it down to fit my more portly LTE version because the price difference is bollocks in my opinion.

Hi everyone,

For the first time, my phone will not have a jack port.
I have great (and expensive) Bose earphones with active noise reduction that I want to keep using, so I am looking to buy a usb-c to jack adapter, I have spotted many on Amazon and wanted your input as I have no idea whether their might be quality or compatibility issues!

But you couldn't buy them during the community drops, so you're stuck with a £5 or £8 delivery charge for a £7 item, despite having just dropped £800 into their pockets for the phone itself!
