Rooting will not harm any amazon app. Just reflashing with another rom will ...
Let root it. Backup, and do anything what u want to
HI All,
My problem is whenever I try to play gameloft games it's just loading on the screen with a circle and black background then after a while it will go to the home screen.:crying: Almost All gameloft games that I already tried didn't work on my GN2 N7105 international version. other games will work but not gameloft games. Am I missing something here? Im rooted but running everything on stock. I just really want to play and try the gameloft games but still no go. anyone can help me fix this issue? Thanks in advance!
Have u tried to backup ur apps and factory reset the phone and then install games and see if that works ?

are you connected to wifi and have you download the gamedata? some games will only become playable after you download the gamedata (using wifi)..
My ouya is running stock rooted with the play store installed. I installed asphalt 8 from the store and it immediately crashes upon opening it right as it says checking license. Has anyone else done the same and have the same thing happening? If so have you figured out a fix?

same problem with my nexus 4
Hi, I have the same problem on my nexus 4. I raised a ticket to Gameloft and they advised a reinstall after deleting the Google play cache. I have a very bad internet connection and it may take a while for me to download the game, 1.53gb of it. I'll try it and will reply here if it works.
Hi, do you move the file on external hdd ?

I play asphalt 8 on my ouya everyday the trick to getting it to work is to install this mod and install the fake motion sensor driver in the mod and it will boot right up you'll have to be rooted. This mod will also allow you play all gameloft games e,g, Modern Combat 4, Nova 3, Wild blood without having to purchase a moga controller and will also install the google play store to your ouya. Once you have this mod installed enable the first option for the moga emulation says something like "In Gameloft games, report Bluetooth HID Device as Moga HID" and choose moga pro, then click the icon next to it to install the fake motion sensor driver and If you haven't already turn on the play store. I don't think there is really any other way to do this because the game crashes when it realizes the ouya doesn't have motion sensor drivers until you install this mod. Some people also say that some gameloft games cant be launched from the ouya launcher. I use nova launcher for everything so I know that Nova launcher works to launch the games and its much better than ouyas. Good luck!

Just a general question:
Do all android apps work on FireTV as long as I sideload them?
Can I assume that apps from the play store are the same as from the amazon store?
I bought the Plex App for android and I don't want to pay full price now for something that I already bought
A lot of apps work fine, but the 3.0.x Twitch does not work so you'd have to get the older 2.5.0 version.
The Amazon versions of Twitch and YouTube suck when compared to the real apps for anyone that has a K400r Keyboard to control the apps with.
Alternatively since the original YouTube app requires Play Services, you can get the YouTube HD MOD and install it on Fire TV without root.
It is on XDA itself.
All widgets do not work at all.
Only the Memory Booster rectangle and a few other things "widgety" will work.

No, not all android apps work on the FireTV.
Some show up wrong because they are portrait mode. So show up fine, but doesn't seem to accept any types of input at all. Some just fail to load.
Guess I will have to try then
You can always get an app that forces the orientation to be landscape so you can run those portrait apps in landscape mode.
Screen Rotation Control from "jubo co" works well, but will need to be set again if you ctrl+alt+delete to reset your Fire TV or when anything else causes your Fire TV to go off like power outages.
Too bad this app don't have a "set on boot" option.

The latest Plex App works fine after sideloading

Another game that belongs on every tab (i believe is only on play store) is Carmageddon. The free version is fun, the paid verson is so much better.
I wanted to see a FPS shooter running on my Fire, I googled, found "Dead Effect" - and it does.
