SD card not usable - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have a Note II 7100 by T-Mobile, rooted with Omega 7.3 and Redpill v0.10 working on it.
I bought a 32Gb kingston sd-card (fat32 formatted), it works normally on the computer but i got following experiences on the phone:
perseus alpha27: card doesn't get mounted and phone isn't able to format it
redpill v0.10: card gets mounted, data shows up but isn't readable
stock kernel: same as redpill
any suggestions/tips/fixes for my problem?
could it be the omega rom?

Specific ROMS that work with exFAT 64GB micro sd cards

Hey guys,
I bought a 64GB microsd card. I stuck it in my phone and it worked right out of the box (stock root). Worked fine for awhile, went to FreeGS3 R6 and R7 and it seemed to work fine (from memory).
Flashed R7.1.1 and it stopped working.
I would like to maintain the exFAT formatted card (unless you all think there really isn't a degradation issue).
What custom ROMS can maintain the exFAT structure on an SD card?
Thanks!
any version of frosty jellybean should work just fine

[Q] Kingston microSDXC 64GB (SDCX10/64GB)

Hi all,
Has anyone tested Kingston microSDXC 64GB (SDCX10/64GB) with Galaxy S2? I've read a threads about Sandisk 64GB Micro SD where people often with troubles but made it work. Can anybody confirm the same applies to Kingston card?
haven't used Kingston brand but no problems for me with Sandisk 64GB Micro SDHC in both my Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 both formatted as FAT32.
Finally I bought the micro SD card in subject and so far so good. I've chosen to format it in S2 but I didn't use the option to format it through notification because it suggested to format USB memory which I believe is a built-in memory (some bug?). Instead I chose Settings > Memory > Memory card > Format. The card was formatted to Fat32.
Hi,
I bought it and it doesn't work in my Galaxy S2 with Resurrection Remix 3.1.2 ROM, but in my brother's Galaxy Note 2 with stock ROM works fine
EDIT: I found the problem is in non stock ROMs... Usually they have bad support for formatting new cards because it is low used feature.. Best way is to format it in some device with stock ROM and then put it into your phone.. Strange that formatting in Note 2 didn't work. But since I put it into Note 10.1, then into Ace, then into Mini Pro and in the end into some Symbian running Nokia and afterwards back into my phone, it's working perfectly So one of that phones formatted it correctly

64GB SDXC card won't mount

I got a sandisk 64GB card for my spring galaxy s3 but whenever I plug it into my phone it immediately says "SD card is safe to remove" and does not mount it. I've mounted it manually but it immediately unmounts and give the message again. I tried reformatting the card as exfat with my laptop and it recognizes the SD card fine and formatted fine, but I still had the same problem when I plugged it back in to my phone. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
I'm running FreeGS3 3.0 with ktoonsez' kernel, in case that matters.
...You can't use exfat / extremely rare usage. Format the sdcard as fat32 and you'll be fine.
I had the same issue with my tab 2 10.1 and he is correct....format to fat32 in your pc and you should be good to go
Sent from my rooted Galaxy S3 on FreeGS3
Got this same error, said SD card was damaged ... format to FAT32 using GUI format, here is the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36273669&postcount=18. FAT32 will work with both TW and AOSP ROMs (just with a 4GB file size limit)
Have you ever found a way to get past the 4GB file limit yet?

[Q] Having trouble with my Sandisk 32gb sdcard

Like the title says, When I bought my microSDcard and inserted it in my N7105, it worked fine for a couple of weeks. But all of a sudden it appears" Blank sd card or has unsupported file system". Yes, I thought it was my phone's problem, I tried to format the card in my N7105, but it did not work( tried to unmount and mount but also failed). So i put the card in a card reader and plugged into computer trying to format it in my computer. But as u can see, Failed. I've tried different applications to see if i can solve it, like Guiformat, SDformatter(v3.1, v4.0), Formatting it through Disk Management and H2testw(v1.4), All of them are failed.
Please, i just want my 32gb sdcard come back

is there no one have the same problem like mine
some of us are having a problem with sandisk ultra sd cards 32gb/64 gb...they are working good for 2-3months and suddenly you get these problems...dont know if it is due to custom kernel or due to manufacturing problems on san disk ....
some say on touchwiz roms, you need exfat formatting and on aokp and CM roms you need fat32 because the custom kernels dont recognise exfat formats
all i can say is try to format the card inside phone or use stock kernel and see
Fill no more than 16 gb on your SanDisk ultra sdhc 32gb card. ..solved the issue for me. ..( I also formatted the sd card in phone)
The phone also formats the sd in fat32 format
On omega v12
