Hello,
here's what has been bothering me after the JB update:
I have a MS exchange account that synchronizes with my HOX. Everything has been fine until the JB update. After that all of my Bday entries span over two days. All of these events also lost the "all day event" attribute. In outlook all of these entries are showing correctly
What I've tried/checked:
Time zones are matching HOX / Outlook
Tried resetting the account - then resynced
Deleted all entries - then resynced
cleared the "calendar storage" data under settings/apps
Googled for solution...
all of this to no avail...
has anyone experienced this? found a remedy?
for your help I thank you in advance
+1
Hi mate,
exact same issue here in conjunction with Exchange server and JB update (on stock HTC__102)
I was also not able to fix this, really annoying.
Any hint or fix would be much appreciated.

Hello Everybody,
I had a weird glitch show up the other day. I have 2 gmail accounts set up on my phone. They have been working fine for weeks and then all of a sudden they are gone. They show up in the touchflo area and show the last downloaded email but when you click on Inbox the only Accounts that show up are TEXT/MULTIMEDIA & SETUP E-MAIL.
I have tried re-adding the email to see if that would work however it does not download the emails to newly setup email probably because it knows the other one is there and thinks its a duplicate.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
Mike
Was there ever a solution to this issue? It happened to me today! Both of my email accts show up in touch flow, however when i select acct 2, acct 1 displays as if it is the only account active? Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks!
Does anyone have any solution to this issue???
Thanks!
Have you installed any new applications recently? Maybe swype? I had the same issue happen after I installed swype and ended up needing a hard reset to be able to reinstall the email accounts. If you have not installed swype, see what other apps you may have installed recently. Chances are one of them conflicts with something else. To know this, you would need to re install one app at a time until your email app disappears.
I havent installed any apps for about 1 month. I installed the IMDB app. This problem just started yesteday. This is a very weird problem when i click on the message on touchflo, its like it isnt there! How do you recommend I resolve it?
Thanks for your help!
ditto - same thing happened on AT&T Tilt 2 yesterday. Both Gmail accounts can't be accessed in either Picker or View Inbox. I can't delete and reinstall them either - "they aready exist". Outlook account works fine. I haven't installed anything new in months. this may be the last nail in the brick.
skip to the end for the solution!
Our IS department helpfully upgraded our exchange server overnight to exchange 2010.
After putting in the new details we hit a problem - the calender refused to sync and just came back with the unhelpful "an error has occurred"
We did a bit of googling and realised that quite a few other people were having the same problem with 2010. Most had placed the fault with HTC or Android - we were able to do a bit of digging and certainly with our problems we found a solution.
We tried to sync with another account on our phones (2 different Desires one orange branded one "normal") another test account synced fine - no errors. So that narrowed the fault down to our specific exchange accounts. A bit more googling suggested that possibly corrupted entry's in the calender were causing the sync to fail - or open ended repeating appointments (such as birthdays)
Our IS department found 1 corrupted entry in my colleagues account (a meeting that appeared to be set for some time 3072 ....) I deleted all of my repeating birthdays (they were all in my Google cal anyway). Once this was done both accounts started to sync with no problems.
So the short version - if you cant sync with exchange 2010 on your HTC Desire - find and remove those corrupted entry's and/or delete/edit open ended repeating appointments.
Hopefully this will be useful to someone who will be able to avoid the same couple of hours of panic that we had this morning!
Argh. I cannot tell my users to delete all their open-ended recurring appointments when we migrate to Exchange 2010 later this year...
We also had this problem with exchange 2010 and a number of Desire's and have resolved it by following the advise on/showthread.php?p=6305877#post6305877"]http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6305877#post6305877[/URL]
When we selected all appointments, assigned a category, then selectd all appointments again and removed the category. waited 10 minutes to ensure Outlook cache and Exchange has synced.
After this the phones worked fine.

the open ended thing maybe not the solution - it may be that one of the recurring appointments was corrupted - could have just been coincidence
the category solution sounds much better !!
alternative for low number of users of exchange
sync emails and contacts normally, download htc sync to computer for calendar. Not Ideal but it works from exchange to the phone but not from the phone to exchange
I want to bump up this thread, as a form of thanks to TS, because after hours of troubleshooting (on why my calendar doesn't get sync), and numerous factory reset, I found out that it's indeed some corrupted entry in the calendar that causes the calendar not being able to sync!
Thanks ever so much!
This solution worked for me on a HTC Wildfire with Android 2.2
As advised, I went into my Desktop Outlook calender, and either deleted or "Saved & Closed" all recurring appointments. Used the month view for this. Works like a charm now! Thank you once again
i never had problem syncing with exchange 2010
Guys,
I had the same issue where the calendar wasn't syncing. The fix that I found was that I had some recurring appointments in outlook with no end date. I put an end date on these in outlook, let it sync back to the server and then the calendar synced first time.
My email worked fine with Exchange server in Gingerbread but since I've upgraded
to ICS is not working ok, it doesn't download all emails and I keep getting
"Connection Error" messages.
Who else is having issues with Exchange server in ICS4.0.3 ?
Can we report this issue somewhere to Samsung?
Got the same problem, contacts and calendar syncing, also in two days i got 3 emails on the device as well, but the oldest ones. Have bought Enhanced Email and is working perfect.
Mine is fine on bone stock LP7 or LPQ
check the exchange server for errors if you have access. the mobile device policy might be doing something funky
Problem I'm having is that when I configure my works's exchange environment settings, only the email and the contacts synch, the calendar is not synched at all. Same problem with the Enhanced Email app only mail and contacts and no calendar? Is this something with ICS specifically or with the kernel LP7.
running STOCK LPF with XXKL1 Baseband. was experiencing battery drain. apparently its a known issue with ICS 4.0.3. Tried couple different things and deleting account and re-adding seem to do the trick for me at this point
Same here
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
Having the same problem. Mail/contacts sync like a charm, but the calendar just gets stuck. Lot's of wakelocks when I enable it too...
Have been searching my *** off to get this fixed, but thus far, no solution. Tried re-adding the account, even wiping the whole phone, installing AOSP calendar/mail... nothing helps
A search on Google taught me it was a 4.0.3 bug btw, and google is kind of neglecting the whole thing :/
Bottom line is, you need to delete ALL of your reoccurring events. That's the only one i haven't tried yet
Edit: Just tried it, it worked! I just deleted some random events which were really old and sometimes in Outlook 2011 giving some problems with reminders. Now my calendar is syncing again. No wipe needed btw
What I did:
In outlook 2011 for OSX (but can be any mailclient) i created a local folder. I searched for reocurring events, and started moving them one by one to the local folder, which removes them from exchange. Every 3 items, i tried sync again, and after a few tries, my calendar started working.
The problem for me was with some birthdays, which were added from the contacts by my HTC Desire in the past
hey all...
when syncing with my corporate mail (exchange) I am getting duplicate, triple and more entries of some (not all) appointments...

Hi,
I'm experiencing the same issue, i.e., duplicate instances of a single appointment. My MS-Outlook account is through my work so the settings are pretty much fixed. I have the account setup to push updates to my device. Here's an example of what's going on. Today I created a single one time instance of an appointment on my MS-Outlook client from my Laptop. When it arrived on my phone is shows on my calendar as 15 instances of the same meeting. Then like 10 minutes later I deleted the one instance of the meeting from my Laptop MS-Outlook client and it won't delete or remove the 15 instances from my phone.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Steven

For me the following finally helped..(after discussing with Samsung Developer Support)
backup all you calendar items in outlook using separate offline calendar.
once all items moved from this calendar do a sync.
then one after the other try to move the appointments back.
I tried with 3 appointments and since it worked with those 3 I moved all remaining at once (around 1000) and it worked
hope that helps

Correct. .no more issues. .
This is a really annoying issue and has lead to problems several times: I have a few meetings every week and I usually remember them. Obviously, they are set once for a longer period of time as recurring events. But sometimes they get moved because of holidays etc. and the date and/or time changes. While Outlook on my PC shows the correct times&date (Exchange Server 2003) I cannot make it appear in the calendar app. As a matter of fact, I tried Touchdown and several other apps but none shows the events.
Here's a list of what I already tried:
Google - Lots of people have similar issues but nobody seems to offer a solution.
Searched the Apps and Themes and the Q&A thread here.
Disable sync for Exchange items (calendar etc.), then sync, reenable, sync again.
Removing account and setting up new.
Save the recurring event with minimal changes (like reminder time).
Creating a new event on the phone syncs fine with Outlook, deleting the event there also deletes it from the phone (so sync is working).
Setting the calendar event to sync to "All".
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Many thanks!
EDIT: I'm running CleanROM 4.0.5 but I don't think that's causing the issues since my coworker is running stock JB on his SIII and is experiencing similar problems.
shameless bump
Does nobody here really care about these things or am I the only one with this issue? Strange...
I'm facing the same problem. Although I'm using a Nexus 4 with Android 4.3.
I can see that some of my recurring events get dropped when syncing. Adding/ deleting new events works though.
Did you find any solution for this?
