Flashing Instructions through recovery
+Be safe, make a nandroid!
+Wipe data/factory reset
+Wipe cache partition
+under advanced, wipe dalvik cache+wipe battery stats
+(optional) under mounts and storage, format everything except for SD card,and emmc (internal SD)
+Install rom (zip) from SD
+Fix permissions and reboot, allowing 10 mins for the new kernel and ROM to settle in !​
F.Y.I- This is how i clear my phone everytime i install a new rom, except i repeat each step at lest 2-3 times. to make sure nothing gets left behind and it's a full wipe.

See.. This is why I love this site.. I'm at work bored as hell and here we have a new ROM to flash. again?? leggooooooooo.. Thanks boss. Appreciate you sharing this work. I might have to get a 32 gig card or sumthn to put all my backup ROMS on Geesh.. LOL! Am i the only one that flashed like 10 jawns in the last month?.. LOL!

You shouldn't have to sign up man,, it should just download i think.... can someone confirm this?

I like when it takes over an hour to drop the first 1% from a full charge when using the phone moderately!

In the past I haven't had to sign up.....but today, I that damn blue download button 5 times and it kept bringing up a sign up window, so hell, i signed up to snag that rom!
Maybe I'm having a bad technology day

FAQ - THE BIG PICTURE​
What is ICS?
ICS is Ice Cream Sandwich - Google's latest version of Android.
- Some of the very latest phones on the market already have it installed. e.g HTC One series
- Some slightly older phones will eventually be 'upgraded' to ICS e.g Desire HD, but this may be a number of months away, and promised 'upgrades' have sometimes never been delivered at all.
- If / when it does arrive for Desire HD it may not happen for everybody at the same time, sometimes it's carrier by carrier, and finally 'retail' (non carrier branded) handsets that get the upgrade last!
- If / when it does arrive, it will be overlayed with HTC's Sense (some like it, some don't)
- In the meantime, folks are working on getting ICS on your Desire HD BEFORE it's officially released for the phone, with and without Sense (giving you a choice)
So why don't some features work?
Well, the ICS being used on Desire HD is 'taken' from officially released ICS phones like the HTC One range, or 'leaked' ROMS from similar phones.
However, those phones have slightly different hardware and features than the Desire HD - so they aren't exactly the same. This means that parts of the software have to be 'ported' to work on the Desire HD.
OK, so why is porting so difficult?
The Android O/S is 'open source' meaning that anybody can see the actual source code for themselves, and see how it all works. They can modify it and adapt it to suit their needs (good).
Phone manufacturers USE Android in their phones, but they don't have to make all their own 'extra' software open source too. They like to protect their software by keeping it secret (not so good). There are many reasons why they do this, both good and bad, but it makes porting difficult.
When developers don't have access to the source code for parts of a phone, they have to write their own!... this means they have to have highly detailed knowledge of the phone, its hardware and other software components. Sometimes they can try things by trial and error, sometimes they have knowledge from a similar phone, and sometimes they just don't know.
This is the most common issue for 'ported' ROMS. Things like Power Management, Camera, WiFi, GPS etc are the things that make one manufacturer's phone stand out from another, and therefore end up 'secret'.
This does not mean that they will never work, it only means that they take longer to get working.
Who does the porting?
The actual porting is done by surprisingly few people:
- Some guys who know 'inside secrets'
- Some guys who are just great developers but who don't have the secrets
- Some guys who can develop but need a little guidance
- Some of them are 'great guys' helping the community (and keeping their own skills up to date)
- Some of them have other motives (good and bad)
- Some of them form teams to work on different ports
Why don't all the developers work together?
Developers are people - they have all the same issues as everybody else:
- Some like working alone
- Some feel that other developers standards aren't high enough
- Some are trying to fix a specific problem that THEY want fixed
- Some teams have different goals (one team might be aiming for a port that can work on 5 different phones, whilst another team are focused on a single phone. One team may want a totally 'clean' ROM and another want a ROM with lots of customisation options built in)
- Sometimes, people just don't get along with each other
I thought the ROM makers did all this work?
You'd be wrong.
The ROM developers use the ported code to make their ROMs. Sometimes they can choose different components from the various development teams to build a ROM.
Imagine a motor car:
1) The 'developers' make the engine, wheels, steering, chassis etc
2) The ROM Makers build their car choosing the components they need for their ROM
3) The 'Modders' add custom paint colours, fancy headlights, custom interior etc
The 'developers' are not smarter than the ROM makers, and the ROM makers are not smarter than the modders. They just have different roles (and some people do all three roles!)

A big shoutout to @jimmydene84 for hooking us up! Also @sleshepic for some tweaks.
This update has changed a lot so it's really important to clean install (wipe cache, dalvik cache, factory reset, system, and data in twrp, I am not sure what to select in cwm). Also, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACK UP BEFORE FLASHING ANYTHING ELSE!!!! A lot of the stuff may break you from the updater, so please post in the thread whats ok and whats not if you try anything.
I'm probably going to miss some changes for the changelog, but heres what I can remember:
Added Lab Tools to the settings app. Inside the settings app you can find:
Lab Rats Updater. This replaces the TN updater and is still located in the app drawer as well for user convenience.
Reboot button for user convenience.
Rom Control including the following mods: general, lockscreen, clock, and various status bar mods. This is located in settings under lab tools,
Changed some tweaks again, thanks to @sleshepic for some of his!
23 toggles are now default
Back to LK8 kernel as Saber isnt good for everyone but it is still the Rat kernel of choice.
More theming as usual including some awesome toggles, drop down, loading symbol, text selector icons, and more!
Debloated some more, but I don't think most users will notice any loss of functionality.
Removed TN stuff, as Team Pinky and the Brain are all we need! We are also going by the Rats of Anarchy as we needed more than 2 rats lol. We arent sure exactly what name we are going to stick with, we are always open to your thoughts tho!
Added a new boot animation to remove TN and the other text. The quality isnt the greatest but it will be improved at a later date.
Added new PATB script when flashing.
Known bugs:
This is the first time we have ever needed this for a base on release day!
Anything from the updater may break you as most of it needs updating.
A few of the batteries do not work correctly and are labeled nothing to see here and move on.
The draw to create a cropped screen shot does not open the cut out screen. It is still saved to your screenshots it just doesnt pop up with the options.
Music controls are picky on when they work and what music player you use. If you find a way it works best post it in the thread.

My personal AC!D tweak reccomendations:
-Go to settings\sound\music effects and ensure Noozxoide EIZO-rewire PRO series is selected. This is now done automatically in 2.1
-Open the Noozxoide EIZO app and select Line-Out Audio Monitor\(enable) Deliver balanced natural sound\choose
"unique" digital presets
-Enjoy your great new sounds
Setting up the updater for auto flashing
Go into the updater/settings/reboot type. Select CWM for CWM and OpenRecoveryScript for TWRP.
Now when you download zips, hit reboot and install and the updater will do everything for you!
If you move the updater location to your external sd card, it will break autoflash!

It will hopefully be done by the end of the week. If not its because we are taking a break after spending so long on this. I have personally been working on this since Oct 28th, and started over a few times from scratch for various reasons. I kept changing themes to be different from others planned work, and I got tired of changing my plans thats why the base is stock. Themes will be morphs, so they will be around 70mb or so.

Q - I flashed the ROM and now I have an issue, what should I do?
A - Don't freak out! Pull a logcat and paste it on to pastebin and provide me a link in the thread to it. Along with the logcat, please provide me with as much information as possible. Things that you would think could help me fix this issue.....i.e what you flashed, what happened, what did you do prior to the bug/issue.
PLEASE INDICATE WHICH VERSION OF THE ROM YOU ARE ON.

Q - Do I have to wipe before flashing??
A - YES, even if you're coming from a previous version of this ROM. By doing a full wipe each time, it not only avoids any issues that come from not wiping BUT if you report an issue, I then know that is a legit problem and not because of lack of wiping.
Q - I see (Insert developer name) has fixed this or has added this feature, are you going to do the same?
A - NO! No disrespect to that developer but I have not and will not keep up with what other developers are doing.
Check the ISSUES section below before reporting anything. Also check post #4 for workarounds and fixes.
- Some settings in Aspire Launcher force close (nothing that effects usability, working on it)
-DO NOT use lockscreen controls in Noozy settings. It will glitch and open straight to home screen. (No lockscreen)
-Netflix- workaround in post #4 confirmed working
- Copy and pasting a link from bookmarks causes browser to FC

How to Update Profile and PRL:
YOU MUST DO THIS AFTER FLASHING A NEW MODEM TO ENSURE YOU HAVE DATA AND MMS WORKING.
First, make a backup of your current ROM. Then you need to get on TouchWiz ROM. Doesn't matter which, then wipe cache and flash the modem ( do it again if you've already flashed the ROM), then update PRL AND PROFILE. It will reboot itself. Then restore your backup and you should be good (or flash the ROM if you are doing this in the right order).

***Note: I highly recommend using the Autostart Manager in ROM Toolbox to get rid of widgets and other features of apps you don't use to extend your battery life. Remember the less that is running the more likely your phone is to go into Deep Sleep (much like people lol). Just be sure to make a backup before you start playing with settings you aren't sure about. Anything with widget in the title is OK to disable (if you don't use the widget). If you don't do this you can have widgets you aren't using updating in the background, who wants that? And most apps have widgets anymore. If you press menu you can also have it show system apps too.

Workarounds & Fixes & Miscellaneous
If you are having problems with MMS:
1. Did you update Profile and PRL after flashing the modem? (See Step #6 under instructions. Click "show content" or "spoiler" button.)
2. Did you try sending one to yourself? That usually kickstarts it. It takes a few minutes sometimes.
3. Try rebooting into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache and reflash the ICE CREAM SANDWICH modem (the one for your carrier if not on Sprint) of your choice. Then give it about 10 mins. Try sending to self again. If not post logcat in thread.

***Note: SGS2 settings are hidden, unfortunately you have to install either Apex or Nova launcher and go to the launcher (only to get the settings, you can uninstall afterwards if you want). Nah I was testing for Paul the maintainer but he stopped then I ask the maintainer from the skyrocket thread can he build it for us and got no answer so I took it upon myself to port it thanks for the thumbs up I'm going to upload version 2 tommorow which is my personal version with working camera and modded viper audio, them able MMS app and emoji keyboard where the emoji works for Facebook and other social media apps againg thanks

Yeah kener but linario is for building from source and I Dont build from source and as far as using hellkat for base I Dont port like that I use a different method but feel free to download v2 when I upload it and if the skyrocket dev used linario then this is linario I made no changes take a look at the du build in the skyrocket thread and I'm going to add you to g+

Good for you dude. I also asked about progress on this after testing and was ignored. I have noticed that is a pattern with some devs, if they don't have an answer or know how to fix what's wrong they just pretend it doesn't exist. I'm glad at least you decided to try and do something yourself.
I have always gone out of my way to respect what the devs do and understand they are not obligated to do anything in reality, but this business of just ignoring people and disappearing without even as much as saying "I'm moving on" or "I just don't know how to fix it, sorry" is becoming a pet peeve of mine. This is especially a problem in this forum. In the old Exhibit forums I was never used to that. BTW before somebody gets defensive I have donated to some of these same people who are doing this, so no guilt trips please. I try to do my part to show appreciation besides words.

I appreciated I always do my research and attempt stuff on my own as well before bodering the devs too call like yourself I appreciate what they do and know their not obligated that's why I give credit to cl3kener, soupysoup and Paul Giles cause they are straight forward and have helped me in the past again thanks give it a whirl its a great ROM I will be uploading v2 tommorrow which is my personal edited version peace!!!

Omg...toootally love this ROM! I hope you can keep giving us this port! I so hope they add split view to this! And the freaking camera?? IT ALL WORKS!! 720 annnnd 1080!! Flawless as of running almost 2 days now. Theme manager isn't on it yet but the HK xposed module takes care of that problem. Please please if possible keep the ports coming. Official or not this is a very clean and smooth ROM thus far. Thank you!:highfive:

I don't get why they didn't fix the SD card issue then, here @soundsofmath comes along and gets it done. Again, good job. May have to try this sometime although I need a break from ROM switches right now.

My external SD has been broken since bk in November because of flashing 4.3 ROMs. Haven't found a fix for it but I'm fine with just 16 gigs for now. But i do believe sounds ported another cam to this. But he added a few things of his own. And artful this things pretty solid. And I've been tweaking this thing hard. And comes viper equipped. That's what sold me on this.

The test version of official 4.4 DU could not read the internal storage oddly enough, external was fine. I'm just puzzled as to why that made them quit on it unless they thought it was due to lack of interest, IDK. Maybe they just said the hell with it.

thanks for the support you guys im glad to see you guys like the rom as long as they update it i will update i will be posting a beanstalk with theme engine and a aosb that i believe has multi window in the next few days bare with me as im in pa and my internet is slow over here in ny its much faster but again thanks for your comments and support
