I really love the features of the touchwiz stock ROM but I feel it is very slow compared to something like cm10. Is the a touchwiz ROM that someone has debloated and tweaked. Thanks

Highly recommend Frosty JB incredible battery life and the best touchwiz experience I have had by far. Toggles and themes to the extreme.

Tell me, what's your favorite ROM so far and why?

For daily use, it has been FreeGS3 R5, it's just extremely stable and has the good stock stuff in there.
for features it'd be AOKP JB, cause it CM10 and has more UI features...
Free gs3. Just downloaded aokp for the second time...great ROM. Lots of cool features, hoping its more stable than last one.

Anyone recommend a ROM that has touchwiz and all the samsung apps but is faster?
you can flash it and try them out.
One that supports overclocking maybe?

I like kyan with KT747 flashed on top. It has an AOSP-ish theme.

Definitely WanamLite! I immediately felt the smoothness with that ROM. On a side note, I have a question about flashing ATT ROMs on Canadian variants. I flashed Wanam (and loved it) but my phone kept constantly trying to connect to ATT DM Manager, which obviously won't work since I'm on Bell. Then after a while it would just show "AT&T Software Update has stopped working". There a way to bypass this or something?
Kyan
I'm digging the KyanRom with the KT747 kernel. I'm still trying to find the balance of nice performance and even nicer battery life. The KyanRom fits all of your criteria.
One more for WanamLite. No matter what ROMs I try, I always end up back at this one, everything just works and the battery life is stellar.
Wanam is good.
But Nostalgia is much smaller (150MB smaller). Plus you can reodex it for extra smoothness.

Self promotion!!!! Not that is bad or evil or great, just making it known so others can draw their own conclusions.

I am using and lovin at the moment the Blazer ROM by phantomhacker. A nondebloated ROM with speed and other enhancements. Its perfect if you like the samsung apps.

So, I was thinking of restoring my phone back to the original Samsung ICS ROM but I absolutely abhor the TouchWiz UI. I was wondering if anyone here could suggest anything to theme the stock ROM into ICS look.
Any help would be appreciated!!

why dont you just flash an AOSP rom? If not then just download a launcher(Nova, Apex, ect)
edit: Or I'd suggest going JB, most ROMs are stable enough to dd.
AOSP is CM10 right? Its like I keep trying ROMs but each one has issues. But now I'm trying the All Star AOKP and I hope it works..otherwise I'll just go to the stock version and install a launcher.
Thanks for the help though.

Hey guys, I've been away from the forum for a long time. Downloaded jovy's deodexed mostly stock ROM, but would like some extras (23 toggles, tethering, reboot menu, etc.).without experimental scripts, kernels, themes, etc. Was using frosty--any suggestions for a minimally modified ROM? Thank you!
U could try stockorama

Stockorama. It's pretty stock with some mods. I'm running it right now, it's great. Try it out.

Thanks so much for the responses, guys. Anything else I should explore just for comparison's sake?
I was using frosty as well, I switched to jelly beans recently and love it. Runs very smooth and has some great features. I'd recommend it!

I was wondering what the most stable rom for the t mobile galaxy 2 is. I've tried lots of 4.2 roms and most of then are very buggy or battery consuming. Thanks in advance.

Not the nice added on options of custom roms, but probably most stable.

Try linaro carbon. That ROM is silky smooth for me.

I am on stock JB 4.1.2 with 4way reboot mod with faux kernel or Tiberius at times, both work great. Stable & great battery life. Cheers...
