Cheers

If you are talking about using HTC Mail app to configure your Gmail account, I prefer Gmail application over it. There are some disadvantages like you can't copy text from mails, no syncing schedule etc. But, I still like the Gmail app.
Kay im getting more irritated with my desire. I ONLY want my phone contacts on my phone NOTHING ELSE.
but every time i reset my phone i have to enter in my gmail account and it syncs my stupid email contacts from my gmail to my phone talk about a HUGE irritation...
anyone know how to stop this from happening?
Look under sync settings.
Click on your account and deselect gmail

Hi,
I'm comming from a blackberry and this email thing is a little frustrating. I've set up my ISP road runner email account and I keep getting new email notifications for emails that had already been viewed on the g2 and and deleted. I have set it up to delete emails from the server when deleted from the inbox. I had the same problem last year when I had my HD2. Any help?

anyone with feedback?
See if you can remove the updates to Gmail from the Market. It's a bug I had on my Gmail.
Are you using gmail? Else it could be you are just using a one way sync that downloads your email and sends your email but doesnt update status..

Woah your the exact same thing as me had a HD2 and now a G2.

Sorry for the very late reply. My account wasnt set to automatically subscribe to threads after I post. But I'm no longer having the issue, and this was a pop mail account from my isp.

Hi,
Is it possible to set priority for outgoing mails? I couldn't find it...
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
There is no way to prioritize outgoing within the gmail app, it also doesn't work with the stock mail client.
Maybe another app like enhanced email or k9 is capable of this?

I haven't tried them yet but it should be. So, does gmail have priority when it is using on web?

I never really thought about whether the gmail web service offers to set an e-mails priority. Just checked though and it appears that you simply can't, there's no option to be found.
Also, gmail appears to delete/disregard incoming mails priorities, an email send via outlook exchange arrived with out any indication for its high priority.
This probably also rules out the possibly to get around it with any other app.
What a strange! Gmail app shows priority mails as a folder but gmail doesn't support to send priority mail

Hey guys,
I was really wondering.. What mail app do you use?
I previously always used the Gmail app, but since I got my HoX 3 months ago I only use the mail app, because of a better ui and usability, imho.
Do you use Gmail, Mail or an other app for your mail services? Tell us and discuss why!

For my gmail account I use gmail. For my work exchange account I use HTC's Mail app. I like them both and have never tried another mail app (don't like the idea of entering my account info in a third party app).

For Gmail I use the native app.
For my personal email, I used to use K9-Mail but have now switched to MailDroid.
