[Q] [cm10 alpha3] Camera stopped error - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Cyanogen 10 Alpha 3 (Kernel 3) installed. But I get the error can not connect to the camera. Do you report to resolve the situation.

Its already been known than the camera doesn't work with the 3.0 kernel on JB so we will have to wait until Arco can make it work again.

I installed kernel 2 version. My problem fixed. Thanks.

[ROM][JB] CyanogenMod 10 Alpha 1 [Discontinued]

Well, this was obviously not updated in a while...
I don't have much time to work on this nowadays, and anyways there's arco's work , so this is officially discontinued.
Good luck to everyone with their projects, and have a good day!
=======================================================
WARNING: I am not responsible nor am I liable for anything that happens to your device because of or in relation to this ROM. Nothing happened to mine though . You are installing this at your own risk, and probably violating your warranty.
This is CyanogenMod 10 (based on Jellybean 4.1.1) for the Galaxy W, and it is built from source.
It is still in alpha stage, which means it has its own bugs along with bugs deriving from CM 10 itself, which is still in experimental stage and is under heavy development.
Enjoy.
First of all, huge thanks to arco68 for his work on bringing CyanogenMod 9 to the Galaxy W. This one is heavily based on his work, including his kernel and everything.
Also, thanks to the CyanogenMod team who keep working on improving their ROM and creating possibilities for many devices to get updated goodies.
Working
=======
GSM (Both calls and data)
Audio
Wifi
GPS
Compass
Bluetooth file transfer
USB mass storage
HW acceleration
Google Now (voice search doesn't, though)
Not Working
==========
Camera
Video playback is choppy (can be worked-around with an app which has its own software decoder)
Wifi tethering
Voice typing (in Google Now it does show you what you said, then it crashes)
Headphone icon does not appear when connecting headphones.. Sound is directed to headphones though
Not Tested
=========
USB tethering
Bluetooth audio
Other Issues
==========
Yup, I did notice that the update file is twice as large as arco's CM 9 file.. I'll look into that sometime
Screenies
========
Attached below
Installation
=========
Only use CWM for this. Versions 5 or 6
Put the update zip on your device or SD card and boot into recovery
Wipe dalvik cache, cache and data (leaving things from previous major versions (as in ICS) will most likely wreck havoc)
Install the CM10 update zip
Install gapps (jb only, can be downloaded from here, md5sum: a8b45d51b5f36629bbf150606a6b0ca7)
Reboot and enjoy Jellybean (first boot takes a bit, next boots will be much faster)

[CM9] beta1 [ICS4.0.4]
for the dev: I think you should make a team with iattilagy since he is working for JB AOKP, but thanks for your time and work!
I think this CM10 project started by bangprovn,
But it FINALLY STARTED.
But it's too big in the file..
I'll flash this when it's quite stable. (Alpha 5+)

ics kernels for sense (fix miui v4 video playing) **update

fix miui v4 video problems
here are ics kernels included in viper rom (chinese ota kernel) and tazz's rom (leak kernel) to be used in other sense ics roms.
I actually made these to work with miui v4 as those have garbled video.
Any other rom which needs kernel updated can use this without any problems.
All credits should go to nitsuj17, tazzpirate and microdroid. All I did was extract kernel and hardware drivers from their roms and make a kernel update pakage.
flashing these kernels will fix garbled video problem in miui. both f these have working wifi and data. tested. these will not wipe data but make a backup just in case.
there's no point of flashing these kernels for a viper user. but tazz user may flash viper kernel to fix occasional wifi drop issue
flash only one.!! either tazz's one or viper one
thanks. :good: :laugh:
new version added. people having problems can try flashing that
Any one still having problems with these kernels just flash this boot.img from 4ext recovery after flashing the kernel zip fie.

I'm familiar with Viper's kernel since I've used viper rom but how does it differ from the one Tazz used? Is it just the Viper one having the wifi fix or is there more? Better yet is there even a reason to use Tazz's over Viper's?
I flashed the viper kernel over Miui and it gets stuck at the white HTC screen. Anyone else?

I think only viper kernel has fixed WiFi drop issue. Tazz kernel hasn't fixed it. And tazz kernel has some graphic driver issues so some items doesn't render properly in some games.

Use Arco CM9 3.x kernel? No reboot issue? Then write small message here.

No reboot at all, with Arco's kernel. Only one shutdown, with testing Yoon Baphomet kernel on RC5. Arco's 3.x kernel never rebooted my wonder.
ICS CM9 RC6
same here,, while waiting for 3.0 kernel chronos,,,, which was still based on sir arne's latest 3.0 kernel,, i use his own kernel,,, and i can say that its flawless,, simple,, yet can be satisfatory for daily usage,,, no randoom reboots whatsoever..
people who said they had problems with this and that maybe
1. had too many apps
2. installed apps from a back up
3. had so many conflicting tweaks/ mods..
R: Use Arco CM9 3.x kernel? No reboot issue? Then write small message here.
I used to have random reboots just when I was using stock GB, then I came to CM9 with beta4 and since then everything is fine! I always go pristine, and to me 3.0 kernel have just improved things, (more performance, less bugs) so I'd say that a stable version should definitely be with 3.0, according to my experience with this rom!

Im always using his kernel for first 3 days I installed CM9/CM10 and no ramdom reboots/dissatisfactories. I am always backing up my litle apps and data then doin a fresh install and the 98% problems are gone. I don't find the reason why people keep reporting these idiotic problem with kernel/random tweaks in arcos thread. Dont be a retard, discuss your problem on your tweaks/mod/kernel thread. Try first fresh install for 2-3 days then start customizing the phone and you'll know what the main reason of your problem. Once again, dont be a retard and a sshole

Using CM9 RC6 from the time Chronos kernel got released. Using Chronos kernel as it has the BLX feature. Only one shutdown. No random reboots. I go pristine each time i flash a ROM (including both sdcard/anrodid_secure and android/data folders)
[i used to have random reboots with RC5, even with custom kernels but with RC6 its gone]
I have been using CM9 since RC2 and I only did a "Pristine" installation once and I haven't had any reboots yet with arco68's stock kernel. I've had problems with random reboots but it's because of a custom kernel that I use.
I NEVER had a reboot issue since I start using 3.0 kernal.
It was more smooth and stable than xperia arc s which I help my friend to flash although he is using cm10.1 .
Please, do not drive away our master, If not Arco, my SGW still in GB.

Always be honest with the developer, only then he can develop without stress. And always try to go pristine and try the ROM before posting bugs.

I do have a question to those who do not experience reboots. Just to make sure it is not me, I tried cm9 RC6 twice with pristine method and in both trials I had reboots. But I believe the reason is cell signal. At both work and home, the coverage is not great and the phone always swithes between 2g and 3g. So fnally my question is do you live/work at a place where coverage is great?
My stupidity, I did not try only 2G network setting before jumping to cm10.

CM9 RC6 rocks.... no reboot issue till date... i don't use any tweaks...
Galaxy W + Pristine CM9 RC6 + DXLM2 + XDA App
no random reboots as of today..
but hanged while playing Six Guns from gameloft for about an hour,,, in mission mode
but it's still understandable,, since i didn't go pristine from cm9_rc4/yoon_kernel baphomet going to cm9rc_6/yoon_kernel chronos....
willl there be a CM9_RC7 or cm9_FINALe.....
I use arco's CM9 RC6 stock kernel from its update....
go pristine, flash and install some apps and games. till now i have't any random reboot even' my 2g and 3g coverage are switchable bcause am in very weak recipient signal.....
Thanks arco68

[Q] HTC One X CM10.2 Blue Tooth Bug

Hi,
Just installed the stable CM 10.2 today, and I still cannot switch on bluetooth. When I select "ON" it stays grey for a while and then switches back to "OFF"
I am using a baseband of 5.1201.167.31, are other people having this problem?, is there a better radio version to use that will solve this problem?
Previously I have been using nightly 10.2 3/11/2013 version which worked perfectly

hmm works fine for me with the RC1
I've only had this bug so far when I was not running the stock CM kernel.
I am currently using the repacked xm kernel which gives me better battery life due to the cpu freq not getting stuck and bluetooth isn't working. It was working before, though.
