PDF reader app with remember-last-page features - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Hi,
I'm looking for an app that enables me to reopen a PDF (e.g. an e-book) from the page where I left it, and if possible to be synchronized with other devices...
Any suggestion?
I've been using Adobe reader so far, but it doesn't do that!
Thanks!

IIRC, Perfect Reader remembers your latest position. Don't forget to install its PDF plugin.

I've actually just found out that Adobe Reader works well too... the only thing is that the remember-last-read-page feature is not enabled for Google Drive documents apparently...
Tx!

RSS reader

not of a fan of Android NEWS
What other (free or paid) would you recommend?
thanks
I agree.
I'm using BeyondPod as I can sync it with Google Reader so it makes managing them a lot easier. The name comes from the fact that it also automatically downloads podcasts that are part of the RSS feeds you are subscribed to.
now if I can find a way to export my RSS links from SPB insight/NEWS to a new RSS app for Android.
Stupid SPB software allows you to import through OPML but not export.
Do I have to manually enter 25 RSS links ???
If you're using Google Reader you should take a look to NewsRob, it's great!
NewsRoom works well.
FeedR is working well for me, syncs with google reader well
I think the best one for use with Google Reader is NewsRob.
If you don't use Google Reader, I don't know...
Found FeedR just about now and sticking with it
Newsrob is what I use

If you're not a Google Reader user then NewsRoom is fantastic (hoping for Google Reader sync soon).
I gave up on RSS for Android until I came across NewsRoom... Wow! Excellent app.

+1 for NewsRob, has pretty much all the features you'd want (even in the free version!)

Google Reader Mobile (i)

So I'm an avid user of Google Reader. The simplicity and speed is second to none IMO. I have used reader mobile on Android and iOS, as well as WP7. All work well but for some reason, the scaling appears to be off when viewed in IE mobile on WP7.
For clarification URL is: http://google.com/reader/i
Using Android (800x480) to view show about 7-9 article headers with reasonable font size....however, on WP7, the scaling is off - the graphics look jagged and text is zoomed in about 2x more than on other devices, only 4-5 article headers can be seen. There is no pinch to zoom on this page and I can't seem to find anywhere to scale things back.
Anybody else found a usable method to zoom out in the google reader page using native browser in WP7?

What settings are you using on IE? Desktop or mobile view? Try to change that settings and reload the page and see, if it's better. But I really recommend using a dedicated reader app like feed me, which can be found in my signature. You can import all the feeds from your google reader account there.
As an alternative, consider the excellent app "Wonder Reader". "Next Gen Reader" is also quite good but WR is just the best one around.

And Mobile view may help.
The Desktop View will make IE kick in it's automatic "make this or that readable" which really messes up the fonts.
Android has an Official Google Reader app with Push Updates so they don't have to worry about that.
The Google Reader Site is really optimized for HTML5 browsers (Desktop and Browser). I wonder if it's even possible to get the mobile version working correctly on IE Mobile...
Another thing... You can subscribe to RSS feads via Windows Live. However, I do not know how to get to the updates that show up in my feed. All my friends see them and as me what it is, but I can't see it
NOPE

View looks exactly the same in both modes.
I know there are a ton of RSS readers out there but I've tried them all and none of them seem to work well enough to justify the cost.
The reason I prefer the google mobile (i) reader is:
1. I don't have to update my feed list or anything like that
2. It's faster than any RSS client as IE is native an loads instantly
3. Feeds stay totally in sync across all platforms so I can pick up reading on my desktop / ipad / wp7 phone
4. It's free
5. I like the simple view of all my feeds in a single easy to scroll view.
If I could just find a way to adjust the page scaling, it would be perfect!
Did you also try the two I mentioned? They are Google Readers so work just ad you expect GR to work.

HomeBrew PDF viewer with sending PDF

Is it possible to develop:
1. HomeBrew PDF viewer with sending PDF instead the Adobe's Reader ?
2. HomeBrew PDF sender which access to Isolated Storage of Adobe's Reader ?
Thanks for info.
1. Yes of course but it's really hard and complex task. Also, you can't assign your viewer as a default PDF viewer.
2. No for regular MP apps (you can't access someone else sandbox), but very possible for interop-unlocked handset.

question 1:
Yes, but I think is really difficult.
To associate PDF extension with your app you have to change registry keys on device (HKCR\.pdf sends you to HKCR\PDFFile that contains the appId to use to open pdfs), but on unlocked device only
question 2:
Yes, but on unlocked device only

Yes, that's why I wrote that I want HOMEBREW APP not official.
"You want" or "you want to write app"? If first - you may forget about it The only hope - if someone will port that project http://sourceforge.net/projects/clown/ to WP7 SL.
You can always replicate the existing adobe reader app, than by using reflector copy the code, than modify it according your needs.
The reading part is being done by some dll which you can use.
Now instead of rerouting the pdfs to a different folder just use the same app ID and overwrite the official app. Now all pdfs end up in your custom build pdf reader.
Good luck

or hoping that there is an usable user control in Adobe Reader's DLL
On unlocked devices the following could be done:
a homebrew app which syncs the isolated storage folder of the Adope Reader with the My Documents folder (manual sync and maybe a background task which syncs both folder in a predefined interval). This would give us the possibility to send .pdf´s via email or upload them to skydrive via the Office Hub.
Atm I copy my pdf´s with a filebrowser to the MyDocuments folder and all works fine but it would be nice to have an app which could make life easier.
I´m not able to write such an app but I know that it´s possible.

spavlin,
1. Do this apps allow to switch as be default PDF reader ?
2. Do this apps allow to send PDF files via email ?
If not both of them why do you put it here ?
Reflow
Hi!
Just a sidenote:
Adobe Reader for WP7 sucks as it lacks the reflow option which is quite useful for reading documents on little displays. If someone starts to develop please keep in mind this function.

All those Marketplace apps are crap because they don´t replace the original pdf-reader.
Currently there is no app which can do what you want. The only solution is a homebrew app.

Yes, does somoone create homebrew pdf app which can:
1. Send Pdf via email
2. Be the default pdf app
Uhm, you could get the .xap of the original Adobe Reader app, and decompile it. Then you could add the functions you need to the officially app. It sould not be that complicated but some annoying work, I guess...
did you try the PDF Move app?

Offline ebook reader

Hi guys.
Do you know an app (to read ebooks) which has an offline english dictionary integrated ?
Question number two: Can I send my Google books to this application, so I can read them with the offline translation ?
I've tried to download my books on .acsm format and open them with Adobe Digital Editions but this way doesn't work, any suggest ? :victory:
Thanks a lot.
See you.
A little up
Inviato dal mio Nexus 7 con Tapatalk 2
Moon Reader has the ability to use an offline dictionary (I haven't tried it, so I can't tell you how to set it up), I don't think it can access Google Books directly, it favours epub files. I usually use Calibre (Windows PC app) to convert books to epub, it works great for me.
I would say give it a try, there's not too much to lose, other than time!

I personally know of NO ebook reader that will translate a book in real time, but perhaps they exist.
As for dictionary, yes, many ereaders can us an offline dictionary, including Fabrik, FBReader, etc. But I don't think that's what you're asking for, or your statements are conflicting.

Looking for a PDF Reader

Hello guys
I'm looking for an app for my Nexus with some kind of way to open multiple PDFs at the same time and change between them quickly, for studying purposes. Adobe Reader doesn't do this. Do you know any app with this function?
Thanks

If you are only looking for PDF reader, then just go with any really. All are good!
However, you are looking for PDF reader + epub, mobi etc support go for moon+reader. It has speech and many cool options
If you are looking for PDF+ Office documents, just try office365
I am using both apps (paid versions) and there is not any app better than them in my opinion. Free ones are as great but Office365 free version won't let you edit documents.

I tried iannotate and it really has a nice system of tabs to open multiple PDF files and that was what I needed. But the App itself is a little buggy and not very fluent (can't even compare to Adobe). Do you know any other?
Thank you
Radaeel pdf , not sure if its compatible if you get it from playstore, but google the apk if u can't get in the playstore
QuickOffice by Google ?
Maybe OfficeSuite (not free)...
I never used a multi-pdf viewer so I couldn't really tell
Kingsoft Office?

You need EBookDroid.
HTML:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ebookdroid
It's a great PDF reader, and I use it to read my university books all the time, jumping from one book to another.
I paid for Moon+ Reader Pro in the past, but I've found EBookDroid works a lot better.
I like Foxit.
I tried EbookDroid and even though I liked it, it doesn't have a decent way to change quickly between PDFs. I think I'm gonna stick to iAnotate.
just go for adobe reader.
Try RepliGo Reader, ability to add notes and stuff

I read a lot pdf's on my nexus and i tried most of pdfs readers and i can truly say that mantano reader is the best for big pdf files
Mantano is slow as hell and does not support in pdf files included page numbers.
I have to read an insane amount for school, so i personally use Moon Reader or Foxit for those few PDF's that Moon Reader has a problem rendering. Kingsoft is nice for just reading but doesnt have any good markup options like Moon or Foxit. Moon is pretty feature rich and has options for both day and night time reading to reduce strain on your eyes which is helpful if you have to go late into the night.
Cheers
I like Adobe Reader but the tabs system is really important for me. I study engineering and I need to have one PDF with exercises opened and another PDF with the theory, that's the way I'm used to work with my computer and I bought a tablet mainly because it's very light and portable.
The ability to write notes and underline words/sentences on PDFs isn't very important to me, I don't use it.
ezPDF reeder is the best on android, and 10% of GoodReeader on IOS
using xda app-developers app
I tried a lot of PDF readers only ones with both good text reflow and reversed/nightview ifound were ezPDF Reader (paid) and Adobe Reader. I think paid Moon+ has that too with PDFI. For epub it is by far the best imo and I am consisering buyong pro.
In my opinion every reader should have reversed/nightview for when one has to read much or at night. So ridiculous that so much pdf readers don"t have that or automatic resizing text to fit screen They shouldn't even be called a reader-app.
In EzPDF Reader you can switch easy to other pdf's via recent documents. It will remember the pages of all the pdf's where you were at. If that is what you mean. I like it a lot it has a lot of options. .
But if Moon + pro is as good with pdf as with epub I might switch in the near future. (It has better animated page flip with epub than Ez with pdf also by the way).
try SmartQ Reader.it's the best PDF reader that i ever used
